About the New Player (Patreon)

Quick update everyone! So thanks to you guys on Discord I got some great quick feedback. If you are using an Android device it is better to use Chrome and sign in to Patreon there and watch the video. The Patreon Player does not seem to be playing well quality wise on the app via Android!

Using the browser for watching the video is definitely better. Hopefully its an issue they can fix or itll be a bit annoying to be using Chrome constantly

The quality of the video is also worse when watching on PC compared to Streamable's 1080p quality. Maybe they can let us change quality from 720p to 1080p?

I hate to say it but the new player really doesn't work for me. I have fast internet but still the player defaults to such a bad quality that i cant even read the subs, and you cant even manually change the quality. Btw i'm on laptop and using chrome

well. on one hand, Streamable was blocked in my country so i could only watch on my PC or if i downloaded. on the other, this new player quality is meh and size seems bigger for some reason.

I'm on a MacBook and quality is much worse than Streamable, and airplay to appletv doesn't work.

Its valid in Chrome on Android, looks pretty much the same as Streamable

It's more practical to use chrome anyways but you also should switch to desktop mode from the mobile mode because the desktop mode allows the full resolution which the mobile mode and patreon app do not.

I'll say here too. The player doesn't let you choose video quality. That's a big inconvenience for people and I think you're going to get a lot of complaints about it.

Personally I perfer the previous version. This one isss.... I meann the quality is... Meh. Its just a pain in the ass if going to chrome when i prefer when u upload the vids, i just click right away. Hope u figure this out.

Can't just cast with this player, can't set quality, kinda shitty. This player is a half-assed content control solution

I typically cast to my tv so i definitely do miss the old player. I may just be in the minority though, won't stop me from watching, just a little inconvenient.
