As soon as the episode started (I've been re-watching these on my own) I almost screamed because the plants reminded me of Battle Kid, a video game. I essentially got war flash backs to Game Grumps and Purple Plant. Like, I was ready to scream.

I feel Lupa on this, Brent Spiner's Joker is one of my least favorite animated performances of the character. His dialogue was too corny.

DC loved them some evil gorillas back in the day, the three most used being Ultra-Humanite (the albino one, a super genius human who took over a gorilla body because it can withstand his psychic powers), Monsieur Mallah (The one with the red hat who's always packin heat, he's basically The Brain's muscle), and Gorilla Grodd (one of Flash's bigger villains right after Reverse Flash). And yes this Joker is trash, one of the only negatives about show honestly. Thankfully you don't see him too often if at all (I don't remember) after this episode.

LMAO not Frieza! Now I’m disappointed cause all I can think of is Superboy saying “Hello Monkeys” right before clapping another ape with a gun There was a comic series tie-in & in one of them Super Boy is attacked by Joker in the Cave and gets hit with mind altering drugs that makes him think he’s seeing flying green monkeys. So that’s why. Which explains why he hates Monkeys/Apes. That makes they comments about villains knowing where the cave at even funnier 🤣🤣🤣

It bums me out, because Brent Spiner was great in Gargoyles and is usually great in general...but man he might be the worst Joker. I appreciate they were trying to do something way different from Mark Hamill but man they missed the mark.

This mission would have failed horribly if Black Adam just popped their heads like grapes while they were knocked out instead of putting them in the magic cage. Gun Gorilla was straight-up trying to murder Robin and Miss Martian, so it's not like they care about killing them. Shit man, at least kill the dog. The dog wouldn't even make a good hostage.
