Wow what a beautiful finale! AS much as I wanted Lelouch to royally fuck everybody (because Im trash, you all know this) I think this was the best ending

Nobody argues that he took her Geass, that’s a straw man. The argument is that he took Charles’s Code and this is all but confirmed by the fact that you can look up the original ending from the show which shows Lelouch driving the carriage that C.C. Is riding on. Wanna say that’s not canon, fine. But calling people morons because they theorize that the original ending of the show is what really happened makes you the close-minded fool here.

christian pelaez

Please watch the movie lelouch of the resurrection

Cameron Eldridge

lol gdi sheera pls dont spoil the ending like 3 times in one episode lmaoooo love yall and love this show

Gordon Lou
>>56159142

i don't agree with lelouch stealing charles' code as those with the code lose their geas

TEMPEST

Did you guys watch the code geass movies

Fate's Legacy

Just finshed it a second time absolute Fantastic show one my faves! 😄👍

BaoZakeruga

Hope you watch the sequel movie some day.

odin says

Orange-kun picking oranges at the end is just top humor 💀💀

lyssa

Dude Lelouch had all the odds stacked against him and he still managed to clutch up and win the battle.

yooin

Wonder what’s going to replace this show. Thank you for reacting to it, I enjoyed the content! I hope the Fate series is next since I saw it on your whiteboard ! If you guys do start it, I recommend FATE/ZERO before Unlimited Blade Works!

Drakuse

Yo i wanna thank everyone for this amazing ride, never saw the show before and it’s instantly one of my faves, thanks to everyone who picked it.

Redback

Loved watching this again with yall. Is ReZero todayy?

Settsu
>>53862225

i hope not! i cant watch all of these in one night LMAO!

Narutofreak94

It was great rewatching this after so long with y'all. The movies (the last one specifically) gives us a sort of alternate ending to the series. Not sure if it's canon but regardless it was nice. Can't wait to enjoy whatever we start next.

Gabby Boakye-yiadom

Thanks for watching this great series for us, your reactions were always the best things to look forward to.

DeAndre

Straight up yall the only one with a patreon that I would pay for. I cant go back to just the youtube Vids lmao. Your guys dedication and love for your fans is apparent and i stay rocking with all 3 of you👊💪✊

kai

Omfg thank yall for watching this amazing series it was a great rewatch

nadir anaflous

It was a amazing ride with u guys rewatching it love to see what we gonna react to next!💜💜

Ashley F.

Orange boy runs an Orange farm, a perfect story arc

Just Like Mikee

This was only my 6th rewatch of the show lol. Enjoyed watching it with yall its definitely a top tier anime

Wewak Waguk

Don't watch the 3rd season it's non canon

Rodrigo Villalobos

Never forget Shirley loved Lelouch, Kallen loved Xero and CC loved both. GoatGeass

Reign
>>53864639

the Movies are the new canon unfortunately. Even tho many people gave them perfectly good ways to continue the story they chose to ruin it with the bullshit they twisted around to make the new canon. I do suggest however you watch the spin off shows like Akito the Exiles that even includes a DOPE AF lelouch cameo.

Vincent S Deluca

A lot of Parallels with Jesus and the Cross at the end which was interesting, he gave his life for the world. When he fell it even made a cross lol, def one of the best finale's to any show out there

Vash Stampede

If you want more of Code Geass there are the OVAs called Akito The Exiled, around 5 iirc.

Tev Overhaul

If you guys want to I suggest watching the Third movie the other two movies are recap of season 1 and 2. If you really enjoy the code geass franchise the third movie is the new cannon that will lead to a new project in the upcoming years as you can find the article regarding that online.

Lictor Magnus

I’m surprised y’all didn’t comment on Jeremiah farming oranges 😂. I watched code geass as it aired week to week back in the day. The prevailing theory at the time was that Lelouche was the cart driver at the end. He got VV code from Charles when he grabbed him by the neck before he disappeared. For the rest of the show you never see his neck again. Nunnally also saw his memories when she touched him just like what happens with CC.

Tug

Great ride loved watching this for the like 10th time with you guys. The movie and OVAs are also good but the movie changes the timeline of the show

nab

Are you guys planning on watching the movies?

Ginzo

Great reaction. In the last episode, Nunnally stated that she would use the Damocles and the Freija to become the center of the world's hate. Essentially, that was the core idea of Lelouch's Zero Requiem plan. That's why Lelouch was able to gain the resolve to geass Nunnally since he understood she was going to use the hate method as well. One of the top 10 anime of all time.

Elyver Dela Merced

@YaBoiRoshi So i dont wanna ruin the mood. But the original code geass episode that came out a long time ago shows that the cart driver at that last scene was lelouch and he's alive cause he has CC's code and is immortal.

saintvenom

One of the best anime I've ever seen

Ginzo
>>53865703

I watched the original when it aired in 08 and that definitely isn't true. The episode they saw is exactly the same as the one that aired.

Brandon

What do u think that erin from Aot is pulling a lelouch

Reign

So the new season is kinda bad. Its lot of rewrites to tell an alternative ending. However, I'll share some things from the fandom back in the day. 1. Lelouch is not dead CC was actually talking to him and hes the one driving the cart if you freeze frame the character outline looks like him. Most people believe CC gave him her code so he's now immortal in return she gets to live a normal life finally and die as she hinted at quite a few times about feeling more human again while he kind of has to live forever with his sins and be the last holder of geass 2. Yall missed the irony of Orange farming oranges lmfao.... Also I TOLD YOU JEREMIAH would become one of the best characters lol. The movies rewrote a ton of stuff to create an alternate timeline where lulu doesn't die but the original ending people theorized about CC giving him her code and him being with her in that last scene were honestly a way better ending than what they end up going with.

Chris

I highly recommend watching the 2019 Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection movie. It takes place in an alternate universe as a direct sequel to the trilogy remake of the series (although you can watch and enjoy it having only seen the TV anime). Also, it's entirely new content, no recap or anything.

TheeChaste

i mean i always thought since he killed his father with his "fully matured geass" he could have gained his code, thus having Code Geass maybe that was just me lol

Elyver Dela Merced
>>53865703

actually, after research you might be right. the vids i saw might be fake. Although season 2's name is R2 which is speculated to be Lelouchs's code name. Just like C2 for CC and V2 for VV. Also we still dont know wtf happened to Charles's and CC's code.

Reign
>>53865463

the theory I always read was that CC herself gave him her code because her ultimate wish was to die and live a normal life which he granted her at the end by taking on her code. but This makes some sense too I guess

Paolo Joseph Lobitaña

I don't care what people and the author said, Lelouch is still alive.

Randy Petitmaitre

Their is a secret ending the Japanese ending where they show Lelouch when CC said at the end "right Lelouch"

Daylen

You guys gotta watch the movie!!!!!

Brandon L Thomas
>>53865703

Not to disrespect, but that's not true. I watched the original subbed run myself and that was never the case. There's always been fan edits trying to make that a thing, but that's all they are. Nothing was ever confirmed and the ending was purposely left to be ambiguous on that point

nazorius
>>53865703

IIRC it was a special edition episode or something like that. I'm pretty sure in terms of show canon he dead. MOVIE canon however was established as a separate timeline sort of deal.

kai

i cant believe yall didnt realize c2 was talking to lelouch(driving the cart) in the end because he actually became immortal after taking Charles code from what people have gathered

Elyver Dela Merced
>>53865703

@Brandon why would it be disrespect we're just fans speculating. But most clues point to the fact that lelouch is immortal. For example Why is season 2 titled R2 but season 1 isnt R1? Could it mean R2 is Leloluch's code name? like C2 and V2. And what happened to Charles's code?. And lastly and this one is a reach, but everyone in the show who died on screen has had their eyes fade out to signify they died. But lelouch just had eyebags and his eyes didnt fade out like the rest.

Matthew B
>>53867145

Why couldn't you believe they didn't notice that lol. The shows creators specifically said it WAS NOT LELOUCH and that he was dead after these rumors started.

Jeremy

boy people just rushing in here to spoil the movies n shit. can yall CALM YOUR ASSES jfc

UYMAAGEEK
>>53867145

nah we had a whole alternate universe movie series to make that canon, so in this original version he's dead

SheerReaper

you should watch season 3 (movie) cant say much because of spoilers but it worth a try.

hokeypokey

Lots of people have different opinions of the continuation of Code Geass cause of how this episode goes. As someone who watched the show around the time it aired I got to enjoy the ending that gave me chills for years before there was any real idea of a season 3. Rewatching it with yous now though makes me super excited for the continuation, although I think you would have the watch the "Lelouch of the Resurrection" movie to bridge the gap, there is also a 'series recap' set of movies that actually changes a couple of things that happen and that is where the latest movie follow on from, however I don't think it is necessary to watch them, I think the main thing is 1 character that died in the original series is alive in the movies but their role is kind of unimportant.

MakAttack G
>>53864639

well no, the movies are a part of a different timeline from the TV show's.

Anonymous

Watch the movie of code geass

Settsu

Yall missed orange in an orange farm!

Settsu
>>53862381

its only canon to the 3 prior movies! one if which Shirley never dies

XerBlade
>>53866780

That's a myth I've been hearing for more than a decade now. That doesn't exist. It never has. Heck, I literally watched the Japanese broadcast.

XerBlade
>>53867668

That movie isn't "season 3." It's a sequel to the alternate universe movies where a lot of things turn out very differently.

Micahel Conrad

please watch black lagoon it's a very understated anime the dub is amazing

Ryan Hill

I feel you Roshi; I also rooted for Light.

Blitz Cam

So a big debate the show is whether or not Lelouch obtained immortality and didn't actually die, and instead somehow was the truck driver at the end. Many of the writers imply that he did in fact die, which makes so much more sense to the story. Also, it would be strange for C2 to be crying in the church, saying something like 'Lelouch, the price you're going to pay for using Geass is a dear one.' If he really was still alive there wouldn't be a point to show that scene, from what I think. The creator of the show I think may have left the ending open to speculation, (but may have not, and instead supported the claim that Lelouch is dead. Not sure.)

Hop981

Watch the movie

Kollie123
>>53870102

It’s been pretty well established Lelouch died, that’s why the altered the ending with the new movies to keep him alive lol

Friendly Elites
>>53870102

The TV anime ending is left open to interpretation, and so as not to ruin the sanctity of that interpretation the recap movies as well as R3 take place in an altered timeline with some story events changed to distinguish them (Shirley not getting killed).

Kollie123
>>53864967

That’s not really true, kallen grew closer to both sides of Lelouch in season 2 and learned to love him

Jaeboleann

Bruh I can’t be the only one who thinks sheera lowkey spoiled the end reaction saying he’s taking all the hate by himself because she’s already seen it and knows that’s exactly what he’s doing😕 literally every other reaction they’re shocked that lelouch is the good guy and surprised when his plot is revealed at the end and makes his death that much more impactful🙄

Kollie123

Damn the amount of people in these comments that still refuse to acknowledge Lelouchs death, and even bring up a long debunked rumor about a special viewing showing him as the cart driver lmao, yikes

kai
>>53867145

well idk i still feel like he was alive it made more sense

Blitz Cam

As for the conversation in comparing Lelouch to Light, after watching the shows several times, there are several scenes that are similar. Specifically the scene where Lelouch lost the Black Knights as allies in the warehouse, like the warehouse where Light was killed at the ending. Both cases Lelouch and Light admitted they were Zero/Kira, but in the case of Lelouch, Rolo saved him whereas Light had no one to save him. Lelouch had a lot of help throughout the show, unlike Light, so you have to give credit for Light doing as much as he did all by himself. Light messed up when he put too much faith on the 'delete' Kira(forget his name), whereas Lelouch always planned somthing as backup even when he put faith in friendship(when he saw Suzaku and was 'betrayed', he still used his Geass preemptively to escape.) Lelouch does deserve the friends he had though because he fought for the justice with the mindset that the world will become a better place for the 'future', whereas Light's vision of justice was for the 'present', where he would be God and control people to not be criminals with the threat of the Death Note. Remind you of someone? Yeah, I think Light, choosing the 'present', is like Schneizel who also chose the 'present' and wanted to control people with the power of the Fleija. Lelouch's vision of justice for a better future is what makes him a better character. Well those are my thoughts on the characters

Blitz Cam
>>53870102

Yes, the movies did alter some of the events. If you're referring to the 2019 movie, Lelouch of the Resurrection, key word being resurrection in the title, it would seem like Lelouch still did die, but was brought back to life, maybe from C's world.(Been a while since I saw the movie, so I forget if it was mentioned where he was)

Blitz Cam

But yeah thanks for the reactions. Code Geass is currently my favorite anime. (Top 5 would be Code Geass, Death Note, Clannad/After Story, Naruto/Shippuden, and probably Dr Stone) I'd also put the promised neverland manga at a tie right now with Dr Stone, but the anime chose a different story which currently is disappointing, but I'm watching it with the hopes for it to be interesting because it's unique(it will need a good story though). Looking forward to the shows you will react to next.

Mason Griff

It is not a season 3, but there is Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection, which is a movie acting as a sequel/season 3. Do you guys intend to react to the movie?

G. B.

Their is a great irony with suzaku and lelouch as suzaku deeply wanted to die to atone for his sins, and instead was punished being by given the command to live and to exist as zero. Lelouch on the other hand just wanted to live happily with his sister, but instead died a villian leaving nunnally without him.

Brady

I gotta catch up on these reactions but I hope yall react to Steins; Gate next/soon

razgrizraven

Now it's time to react to the movie R3.

Baren Nerab

dang dude literally nunally trying her hardest to let lelouch know she still loves him before he goes always gets me man, she knows that at least she wasn't gonna let her brother go without her still caring for him

Delip K Hurtault
>>53870102

The movie explains that he did get Charles code. The only reason he didn't com back like CC is because c's world was essentially corrupted after lelouches encounter there. The movie essentially took a fan theory and ran with it because it actually made sense. So i don't know why people try to act like the ending cant be seen as ambiguous.

Friendly Elites

So the whole deal with Lelouch's death has been theorized for over a decade at this point but the main theory is that when Lelouch killed Charles he got his Code. But since Lelouch still has his Geass he doesn't have the full effects of the Code until he would die. So Lelouch has the Code Geass during the entire Emperor Lelouch arc but and nobody would know since he wore the Emperor regalia that covered his entire chest all the way up to his neck the entire time. So after the Zero Requiem Lelouch and C.C then had the very final ending scene with Lelouch driving the cart. Fortunately whether or not you like or agree with the theory doesn't affect R3 since it follows the recap movies continuity so the TV anime here is it's own thing with it's own open ending for the viewer to interpret for themselves.

Friendly Elites
>>53872703

same man even years after i watched this series and rewatching it 5 or 6 times the feels suckerpunch never misses

Christopher M

You guys need to give Code Geass: Akito the exiled a watch. It takes place Between R1 and R2 where Lelouch had his memories rewritten. After that R3.

ZeroRequiem

Such great reactions, I'm so glad I got to see your reactions to this and was absolutely thrilled to see a triple drop tonight. Just throwing this out there but I highly doubt Sheera remembered everything during these reactions. My first and second viewing were many years apart just like Sheera and I personally had forgotten most of the events that had taken place in the show with the exception of Zero Requiem's conclusion in the final episode.... that's the one thing I've never forgotten over the years since my first viewing: Nunnally screaming Onii-sama and the out of this world music that plays alongside her screams which I could never forget. Beautiful conclusion with wonderful reactions; I want more.

Alex

Really enjoyed this wild ride with you guys! So glad to see you all enjoyed it so much. As mentioned by others, I hope you guys check out Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection -- It's fantastic! <3 Thanks again for reacting to this and being awesome. Wish you guys absolutely nothing but the best!!

Matthew Osteen

Don't forget about Shirley guys. She also died

kuroihana

For Season 3 (CG: Z of the Recapture) watch the R3 movie. For the R3 movie just know that there are certain differences in the recap movies compared to the series that could leave you a bit confused if you just jump straight into the R3 movie.

Dune

Jeremiah a real one. This man has been in so many battles that should've killed him and he made it to the end. Crazy.

Ambrosius

ALL HAIL LELOUCH!!! Oh and pls watch the R3 movie

Ethan Brian

You should Watch the R3 movie it’s hella good

Staus

Jeremiah ending up with his own orange farm is so dope haha

eric

one of the best finales of all time

Jose silva

Would you believe me if I told you that 1 decade later I still shed a tear when Lelouch dies.

Devin B

The reason that Lelouch was suddenly ready to use his Geass on Nunnally is cause she was basically trying to do the same thing as him and become the sole hatred of the world since she volunteered to fire the Fleias and he instantly recognized it and decided not to make her go through that.

Desto Samuels
>>53870477

Ya, I know she said she forgot a lot but there is no way she forgot about the ending. So everytime she kept alluding to it I thought it was sus. Like I understand watching something blind and making guesses to try to be right and seem like the smarter person. If you already know when everyone else doesn't it's really not a good look on you, just seemed like she was still trying to be right for the sake of it. But hey a lot of people eat it up and like the content regardless so yea.

مجاهد الجوكر
>>53884023

nah the movie is so bad , the only good about it is the animation .... also the that movie is another timeline so it is not canon

Jinskii

The GREATEST ending ever. I have still yet to see ANY anime top that ending. I love Death Note too but Light died like a b****. Pitiful. Lelouch accepted death with a smile. It both served Lelouch as his wish for the world and Nunnally to be free and equal, and served as his punishment for the many many crimes and deaths his rebellion caused.

lakewood145 .
>>53889563

I believe when AOT ends it will top all other anime in every aspect. Even Lelouch becoming the enemy of the world.

godUsoland

The greatest finale in all of anime. I cried no less than 2 or 3 times when rewatching this. I'd watched the entire season live when it was airing and you can't imagine the freakout I had when Lelouch got stabbed. ALL HAIL LELOUCH!

godUsoland

Jeramiah(orange-kun) got we always wanted -- To retire to an Orange farm. XD And he took Anya with him.

Kwame Afriyie

*cough cough* he ain't dead..go back and listen to C2's convo *cough cough*

Abraham Workneh

God tier ending. Nunally’s crying over Lelouch’s death while everyone chants “Zero!” never fails to make me tear up. Cried my eyes out the first time I watched. Also love the ambiguity of whether Lelouch is alive or not in the ending, which is also why I don’t like the movies.

RavinFox .
>>53883348

I didn't expect to tear up again myself! What really drove it home was his expression and him dying in front of his sister for me. Had a lot of people around them cheering while she and few others were mourning. Super sad.

CrystalBlu3

Will you be reacting to the Move Lelouch of the Resurrection? I don't think its out in the west yet but I'm just wondering.

NarutoPASS5
>>53917074

it's been out for about a year, I got the blu ray when it first dropped. You could probably rent it if you wanted to

Quelz

Wow that last episode is still truly one of the best endings Ive ever seen. Rewatching this series with them and seeing how they enjoyed it makes me want to see their reaction to Gundam 00.

Jake Young

In case Roshi sees this, the new season is a sequel to the movies. Which basically recap the series but change some really important things, the creators have called it an "Alternate Timeline" and say the original main show is complete and has ended.

Vincent Steele

Anybody else get a hard on anytime Jerimiah screams “All Hail Lelouch!”

PromNightFetus

Such an amazing ending. I remember watching this when it first aired. I actually didn't enjoy season 2 for some time because of how Lelouch was turning out. "Great, hes now become the villain FFS". But this ending redeemed all of it. This is why I try not to drop shows until the end, as there can always be an ending like this that flips everything for me.

LJ
>>53889563

Are you caught up with the manga? I'm an anime only watcher but if so, is the story still good? I know that it's ending soon so I just want confirmation that it's still good cause GOT really let me down with its ending lmao (no spoilers obviously)

MrNoor114

And this is why Lelouch is one of the greatest protagonist ever.

Green Legion

please watch magi:Labrinth of magic

Gigi

It was confirmed by the creators of the anime that lelouch is dead and he wasn’t the driver. It sucks but it’s the truth 😫

SheerReaper

I hope they watch the movie

kristian
>>53870477

She loves making predictions that end up spoiling it for the other two but the fact that she alrdy watched it why didn’t she just let them see it happen first

Ranginald Vagel

I really thought Lelouch lived long enough to become the villain, but instead he died the hero, not that history will know. Worst part of these sacrifices is, you just gotta have faith they'll work.

Oscar Barcelo

“You either die as a hero, or live long enough to become the villian.” I love this quote

Fenrir

I wonder if they are gonna watch the movie

eric

talk no jutsu insanely strong

gaelthras

The continuation of season 2 is a movie, called "code Geass R3 , or Fukkatsu no Lelouch". But it's a bit more complicated. If you watch the movie , you have to first watch the Movie Trilogy that "rewrites" season 1 and 2 , changing some things such as character that died in the series and didn't in the movies, and vice versa. The movies are considered the new canon so , if you intend to continue the code geass franchise , i'm afraid watch those movies is mandatory

ThePaleBlood

Lelouch is dead, just accept it. His death makes the ending a lot more impactful anyways so as much as I’m attached to him just let him be dead.

Coran
>>53870497

Ikr, I absolutely love Lelouch, he’s my favorite protagonist ever, but his death makes the ending so much more impactful so as much as I want him to be alive it’s better if he’s dead.

Coran
>>54010364

Lelouch said fuck it imma be both just at different times. Played the role of the villain and in some people’s eyes died a villain but in reality died a hero.

Albert Tran

This is my fifth time watching this whole series and it still never disappoints. Having you guys with the commentary was just too good! I loved at the end of almost every episode in season 2, Roshi and Lipa had their minds blown and saying it was hype af.

Jonathan
>>54058722

yeah you guys either using the app or the mobile site.. on computer its great quality

Jake Rosendahl

I tear up on the death scene every time. This is the true ending of the show IMO. They changed the cannon in the movies or R3.

Jake Rosendahl
>>53917074

It was okay, but it really doesn't mesh with the original show. It meshes with the movies that cover S1+2 and rewrite cannon.

Jake Rosendahl
>>53870497

I prefer to let this show be the one he dies at least, i think its a better ending if he truly dies. The recap movies and resurrection movies can have all that alternate timeline/cannon shit.

Odd-Kislon

yall should check out inuyashiki, it's kinda similar to CG

Amzee

I have no idea if someone already said this, but there's an abridged series of Code Geass called 'Code Ment', it's absolutely hilarious and i'd love to see you guys react to it

Sun

In theory, Lelouch is still alive. In the first release of the series at the carriage scene of where C2 was laying on, when C2 called out, "Right Lelouch." The scene after shifted towards the coachman and zoomed on his face. Although, it didn't show his face clearly, you can tell that it was Lelouch from the hair and facial structure. Also, as C2 called out, the coachman made a smile and let out a "heh" sound affirming C2's comments prior to her calling out the name Lelouch. However, some time after the release, the studio took out that particular scene to let the audience decide their own ending of whether Lelouch was alive or dead. That particular scene is even on Youtube so you can still search it up. There's also many videos on Youtube that prove Lelouch is alive based on the information given in the series about Geass. Some say that Lelouch gained immortality when he killed off Charles and presumably acquired Charles's code. I would go in depth on how Lelouch could be alive but there are tons of videos already about it on Youtube. Wonderful reaction!!! I really love how you all are so analytical. You guys pick up things that most people wouldn't on their first watch through!!

Tina L

It's been 13 years and I don't think there will ever be a time when I don't cry during this episode no matter how many times I watch this episode, on my own or watching reactions. It was a lot of fun watching your journey into the world of Geass. I look forward to any future Geass content you might want to post! If not, there are plenty of other shows I enjoy watching your reaction to.

Bayden

I know I’m a bit late but y’all going to react to the movie it a continuation of the main story or have y’all already watch it ?

Daniel Tonin

The movie is in other time line, don't need to watch. The anime is better with him diyng.

Redding Tier
>>57665148

The next sequel to Code Geass is going to be continuation of the movie timeline so it's better that they watch it.

Redding Tier

You guys should watch the sequel movie with the understanding that there's two timelines. The show timeline that ends with episode 25 of season 2 and the movie timeline that follows the recap movies where everything happens almost exactly the same except there's no Mao and Shirley survives which causes certain things to happen for the sequel movie to happen.

Niuwah

Watched this show way back, I think in middle school, and totally forgot how everything went down. Though, I definitely remembered he died, and I cried like a baby. Now look at me, back again with the waterworks. Lelouch, one of my all time favorite anime characters. Even if there is a season 3 or movie, I will never watch it. I was extremely satisfied with this ending and want nothing to ruin my thoughts on this show. Now...time to be depressed for a week until I forget about Lelouch.

léo leclerc
>>53870102

the best theory IMO is that he got charles code and gave it to suzaku's as he touched him after the stabbing, which would make his words of "be Zero FOREVER" even more powerful, and that would explain why nunally would access his memory by touching him (as like the "remnants" of the code still in him)

Jakub Dočkal

In comparison to Lelouch, Kira is trash. Code Geass is the ultimate anime in this genre. Not every major character survived though. Shirley?! :-)

Inug0d

I'm so glad that you guys loved this series. This ending makes me cry every time I've watched it. Keep up the good work.

Francis Lau

glad that you enjoyed the series, you should check out the movie when you get a chance.

Mana

Show me the movie, please.

It all circled back to episode one. When Lelouch made the black king piece move first. He as a king has to make the first move. He also said those who kill should be those that are prepared to die themselves. This is why original animes are so much better than manga-adapted anime, everything was well planned before production.

The movies and all future work in the series takes place in a different continuity so the original ending of the tv anime isn't invalidated.

kkxszz

The another code gease serie is trash. Just watch the latest film.

before watching the movies, imo if you enjoyed the tv continuity(cause the movies are a different continuity) you should watch the akito of exile OVAs which takes place between season 1 and 2 of code geass. It goes over a bit in that between time with lelouchs memories wiped out and focuses on other new characters. Also for those that for some reason still couldnt figure it out, lelouch is dead in the tv continuity. It was literally brought up from multiple director interviews, HENCE why they had to make a DIFFERENT CONTINUITY and had the 3 movies retcon the tv show to have lelouch alive instead of sticking with the tv version. lol i have been arguing his death for a decade lol. For those that are confused check out this reddit link https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/8tlw9z/psa_code_geass_creators_have_recently_explicitly/

Will you watch the Movie??

I am literally the same. I remember I am still a kid when I first watched this and it seems complicated to me but my young self still don't believe that Lelouch was dead too until they released the recap movies and with the new movie that took place into a different continuity, my debate to myself for over a decade has finally been answered.

Thank you for confirming he died. I thought he died when I watched it originally but heard that I was wrong and he managed to escape death like his mother did. I’ve never watched anything after the series though because I thought it ended so perfect that I didn’t want new material to mess that up for me.

Ace The FireDragon

Lelouch asked Gilford something during their "1v1" duel "What do you do when justice cannot defeat evil? Do you become evil to defeat the greater evil? Or do you stick by justice knowing evil won't be defeated?" Lelouch's answere was "To become evil to defeat the greater evil." But that answer wasn't his full answer. His full answer was "To become evil to defeat the greater evil, and then to sacrifice oneself."

Garrett Malone

you have to watch the movies since the next season is going to be based off of it,

SalmonYu

React to the movie plz

MochanAmazing

Oh, so they still haven't reacted to the movie

Jdogzero Silverblade

bunch of morons think hes still alive but thats easily debunked by the fact that C.C is alive. he didnt steal her immortality. plus if he did steal it then it would have ruined his entire character they built up and get rid of everything he stood for.

The only way for a code holder to die is for someone to take it. It has been emphasized so much by the nun who gave CC her code. And to get it they have to fulfill 2 conditions. They need powerful geass (2 eyes) and they need to kill the holder. Now lelouch does fulfill the both conditions perfectly. Also it doesn't really destroy his character imo. After all, I think it was Guilford who said, Zero isn't a man who would show himself, unless he was sure he wouldn't die.

Random Guy

No matter what anyone says, I will always believe in my heart that Lelouch didn't actually die, and no I will not be including the movie in my reasoning. They just dropped so many hints that if it was a girl, she would've gave up on you and went with that other guy courting her. Him "dying" would leave a very big plot hole. 1.) This is not a proof, but a subtle hint. Guilford said that Zero isn't a man who would show himself unless he was sure of his safety. He already knew what happened to CC, he knew that killing someone with a code would pass on the code to him and this was why he even proposed Zero requiem in the first place. 2.) Supporting no 1, killing to pass on the code was a very big basis for the very contract that Lelouch got his geass with, with something as well written as Code geass I really doubt the writer would forget that. 3.)There are 2 conditions to get the code, one is to have geass powerful enough, and two is to kill a code holder, lelouch perfectly passes both criteria. 4.) We all know what happened when lelouch touched CC, back in the mountain, he was able to see her past. Now what happened when nunally touched lelouch as he was dying? That's right he saw his past including the contents of Zero requiem, a very concrete evidence that lelouch got the code. 5.) This is not very concrete but CC tilting her head towards the driver of the cart at the end of the series, obviously talking to the driver, the last 2 words especially, "right, lelouch?" was very telling. The biggest counter people have to lelouch is alive theory is that "but the staff said in an interview that Lelouch died." This answers that and what I feel is very concrete proof that Lelouch got the code and is therefore, immortal. Remember that people who has the code cannot get affected by Geass right? So how did Lelouch managed to Geass his father who had the code at the time? Doesn't make sense right, since Charles got a code from VV. This implies that you have to die first before the code is activated. This is further supported by CC's scar in her left underboob. So technically speaking, the staff were right and he did die. Except he revived afterwards with an activated Code.

Sir, the authors said he died... This is not an open ending. It's closed, official. Lelouch DIED, that's the truth. He sacrificed himself to save the world.

PolishWizard
>>72635023

hes literally alive, the last movie took place after this he became immortal like C2

Patrick Rowland
>>73652410

about the code users being immune to geass point it has only ever been shown that a code user is immune to those they themselves granted geass to

YourStoneAngel
>>73652410

I could see Lelouch being the cart driver and him dying in a metaphorical sense just like how Suzaku died to become Zero

Friendly Elites
>>72635023

Bman468 there were longstanding theories of Lelouch having the Code/Geass for like 8 years before the movie came out

Uzi

Please watch the movie Code Geass Lelouch of the Re;surrection! I just finished binging this whole thing and I'd love to see it so much <3

Since the movie was already out, Imma say this with the whole Code thing being the most reasonable theory in all of this. We all know the movie takes place in another continuity where Shirley lived but with whatever happened in that movie, it is likely that Lelouch did get the Code since in that movie, it did show that he has the Code, just has his memory erased or missing.

Hello
>>73652410

Nah if the staff said he dead then he dead. The movie takes place in a completely different timelines entirely. The authors confirmed lelouch's death. Let's not be in denial

one interview said that but a differernt interview they said they left it open ended
