This was absolutely EPIC! Btw we saw end credit scene after we were done rolling lol

Eliana

She probably just feels sympathy for Mary seeing as Tanya killed her father 💀

Yatty

So the enemy using civilians as a shield wasn't bad? In all honesty If all the enemy had to do would is grab civilians in war and say "you can't fight back since we have civilians, but we can shoot you" then it would be just justified. Till this day that same tactic is still used. Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan etc. Can't tell the part but they use civilians to their advantage for an easier win or sometimes automatic win. As sad as the story is in Tanya's case, look at another perspective. Cowardice on the otherside too

xX Valtiel Xx

Some shit never changes [coughs] 3 day operation [coughs]

Decayed Lulzul

I like how this series doesn't have a good or bad guy one would say Tanya is the bad guy if we assume the empire is supposed to be equivalent to early 1900's specific european state,

Random Guy

because good and evil isn't really black and white in real life either. It's a matter of perspective.

Conk

nah, good and evil is very black and white most of the time.

Alex Omega

1:20:27 The most satisfying moment for me in this series. Mary fuck Tanya up!

umgaraf

Season 2 confirmed for 2026

TyBluewave

Imperial Germany, not nazi Germany. Very very different governments

iibreezy2x

I said it once and I’ll say it again bro god be sending these ppl to their deaths just to prove a point to Tanya. Like I understand youre god but that’s hella egotistical bro

Coatl45

That human wave tactic has been Russia’s go to for as long as Russia has existed. And it’s worked for them until the 20th century, when the ability to kill started to exceed the number of soldiers that Russia could throw at their enemies at once. Although, they haven’t started feeling the strain of it until this most recent war.

Coatl45

It has little, if anything, to do with the Holocaust. The Soviets did the same thing to their own intellectuals in the 30s, and that’s what the show is referencing. Although, they weren’t nearly as bad as what Mao and Pol Pot did after them.

Coatl45

Honestly, it’s hard to tell if the human wave tactics were from the Commies or the Russians, as they’ve been doing that shit for as long as Russia has existed.

Coatl45

I was under the impression that her family was driven out by the Commies, that’s why Tanya was saying that she had beef with the Federation as well.

thatNEET_

Thats a railWAY gun. A rail gun would have rails, not a cylindrical barrel.

James

Just as I was looking for something to watch lets goooooo!

Space_rocky

Boy I was so happy thinking it was bungou stray dogs but i'm not disappointed 😊 Btw season 2 is confirmed!!!

BynFlew

Sad that the pedophile dude (Loria) is based on a real guy from the Soviet Union named Lavrentiy Beria. His design even resembles the dude "According to official testimony, in Soviet archives, of Colonel Rafael Semyonovich Sarkisov and Colonel Sardion Nikolaevich Nadaraia – two of Beria's bodyguards – on warm nights during the war Beria was often driven around Moscow in his limousine. He would point out young women to be taken to his mansion, where wine and a feast awaited them. After dining, Beria would take the women into his soundproofed office and rape them. Beria's bodyguards reported that their duties included handing each victim a flower bouquet as she left the house. Accepting it implied that the sex had been consensual; refusal would mean arrest. Sarkisov reported that after one woman rejected Beria's advances and ran out of his office, Sarkisov mistakenly handed her the flowers anyway. The enraged Beria declared, "Now it's not a bouquet, it's a wreath! May it rot on your grave!" The NKVD arrested the woman the next day." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lavrentiy_Beria

関口信玄

"All she had to do was pray" 1) What are you talking about? 2) Nobody has to pray. 3) She still is praying anyway every time she uses an ultimate attack.

Zanath Kariashi

Basically mages are simply genetically superior to non-mages, and that didn't sit well with the Communists, so they holocausted literally all of them. Though there was persecution of the magically gifted even in Imperial Russy, which is why Visha's family moved to the Empire when she was a child. The communists just went complete Extermination on them once they came into power.

Jose Ovalle

Are yall not realizing this is literally world War 1 and 2 and tanya is using her knowledge to her advantage.

Bocchi in Shadow

I almost choked on air laughing at that mary flying comment yall made

TheNoot

The amount of stuff they thought was going to happen but didn’t is making me laugh

Darren Banks

lol Lupa chilllllllll 😂 It's just a railgun.

John Spartan

My man Rerugen affected by the Lupa syndrome xD

Smash Bran'Discootch

Lupa out here referencing Crossfire. I thought I was the only one who remembered those commercials. "Crossfire! You'll get caught up in the Crossfire! Crossfire! CROSSFIIIIIIIRE!" bahahahaha

Ginzo

"How is she still alive?" Well, her name is Mary Sue. She's literally there to be a deus ex machina. lol And the thing about them just using humans as fodder has some basis in reality. As someone already said, most of the tactics seen in this anime/movie are based on World War 1 and 2 and Tanya is using that knowledge to stay ahead of the curve. The Soviet Union had 8.7 million+ military deaths during WW2. I know it's kind of hard to put into perspective, but nearly a whole generation of Soviet men died in that war. If you were a male born in 1923, you, your best friend, every guy you went to high school with, and nearly every other guy in the country born in 1923 went off to die in WW2. It's pretty crazy to think about. I know most of us went to sleep in history class, but history reminds us how evil and cutthroat humans can be.

Alex Omega

I enjoyed Tanya getting her ass kick for once even though she won at the end.

Tyler Moon

I mean there are several differences. Many of the nations have been consolidated into blocs. The Empire appears to be a solo power vs. everyone else. Tanya is using the advanced logistics knowledge of the future against everyone else stuck in previous times.

関口信玄

The Federation cannons were set to StormTrooper mode LOL. Tanya really gives some epic speeches. The Federation retaliation is equivalent to Josuke when someone disses his hair. Blind rage. I hope none of y'all honestly thought that the Empire would get clapped in this movie, given that the second season was announced. If there's more content, that means plot armor is still in effect. Really calling the battle long before it's over, and expecting them to actually run? LOL. They ain't pussies like that. They run, the series is over. And the anime is not over.

Oui Oui

Railgun and railway gun are two different things. Also were y’all not paying attention to the gun she was using the entire time?

Oui Oui

She got her ass kicked a lot before.

Nell

Smash Bran'Discootch

Bruh they literally said in the description that they saw the end credits scene after they were done rolling. You should stop skipping the video descriptions. This always happens.

Alex Omega

Not as bad as this fight imo

Archduke Earl Von Margrave

The reason for the federation’s purge of mages is by their very nature, mages can be seen as something that goes against their rule of “everyone is equal” that the communist Russia was like and mages can’t be equal to a magicless individual as they possess talent that others don’t. That’s my theory.

Smash Bran'Discootch

Either that or theyre just leaning super heavily into the holocaust parallel. I like youre theory better though.

YaBoyRoshi

yes we know, I actually brought it up during the main series when she was speaking with one of the top brass advising him on what to do. Its cause she knows from her own timeline

YaBoyRoshi

you know, I thought i was right about that not being a railgun. The "railway" shit was just too convenient to his argument

Edwin Seda

YESSS SEASON 2 IS CONFIRMED!!!!!

JJ Rock

Yo the symbol on their patch is a reference to the peace core's motto of "Sowing the seeds of peace".

romai

kadokawa official youtube page!!!

Carmelo Cintron Rosa

2026-10-05 22:00 Ever since I seen Tanya fire on that group of civilians I had it out for her. I wanted Mary to kill or maim her at least.

who taught you guys what a railgun is? This man Lupa saw rail road tracks and a cannon and was like "YEP MUST BE A RAILGUN". My Man was obsessed with those cannons the entire movie even tho it was just a random ass railway cannon and wasn't even a big deal lmfaoooooooo

2026-10-05 22:00 Communist pretending like they are for the people while secretly purging and genociding entire races out of existence that don't fit their mold is nothing new for communist countries. AKA look at China right now. Also they are basically referencing history when it came to Soviet Russia they had trash training and trash equipment but just overwhelmed people with numbers not caring about casualty rates.
2021-07-01 06:45

Reign

My man Lupa should just ask to be edited out of this whole reaction because this man is gonna get non stop clapped in the youtube comments idk what he was on today but it was a new level XD

Pan Cakes

lupa was funny lol

CannonHawk

1:24:31 I thought the persona music made it's way in to the show.

Alex Omega

Tanya deserves all 13 of Mary's punches to the face.

Daniel Borrego

its not a rail gun, its a railway gun. literally just a artillery cannon on a train. a railgun is a projectile electromagnetically propelled at ultra highspeed. it travels so fast that its kinetic force alone does massive damage. like armor piercing ammo but moreso.

Daniel Borrego

i think its mary souix, but the meaning is clear.

Dylan

In writing Mary Sue is a name for when a female character is perfect, overpowered, etc. Because perfection doesn't exist though these characters are ultimately just flawed characters that get to have everything go their way, even though they don't deserve it. That is *exactly* what Mary Sue is in this show lol. She's done little to no training, is hot headed, overly emotional, zealously narrowminded, and yet everything is basically going her way because god said so. It's exactly the kind of insufferable bullshit that makes Tanya hate god, and I love it haha.

TheNoot

I love how determined lupa was that the cannon was going to make another appearance.

Razor4884

She didn't fire at the civilians. She eliminated the enemy mages protecting against artillery observers.

Mozart Waddell
>>62911547

@Ryan Gibson Wow I'm stupid. Thanks for explaining that to me. I thought we we were all supposed to cheer for this little girl committing war crimes but I was wrong.

Daniel Borrego

so in the 1930's when the soviets really got going, they basically purged all the experienced higherups in the military. so when germany invaded in 1940??, ALL thier experienced generals and commanders were in the gulags. thats kinda what the purge of the mages was all about. basically communists are stupid. the moral of the story. I would like to add that the sheeragan called this in episode 8??

Daniel Borrego

i heard a spoiler. its fitting. ps, i believe her name is mary sioux which is just a thinly veiled reference to mary sue.

T.J.Adams

The fucked up part is that the lowest total number of combined Russian civilian and military deaths from WWII is estimated to be at least 26.6 million, with some Russian scholars putting the total combined number at over 40 million combined deaths from war and war-related causes. As you said, multiple generations of Russians were annihilated by war in roughly the span of 4 and a half years; it's unbelievable the level of devastation both the world wars caused.

T.J.Adams

Whenever I see railway guns I think of the Schwerer Gustav. They were two 80-centimeter railway guns the Germans used in WWII and to this day they are the largest caliber artillery pieces ever used in combat. They could only be fired once every 45 minutes or so and only 14 times a day, and they also required a ridiculous amount of people to make combat effective and to operate. Just an all-out ridiculous weapon.

Steven Fechter

"She enjoys this, some sick part of her enjoys this" Of course she does. CONAN? WHAT IS BEST IN LIFE? And lol mary sues stats "Strength -10, Speed -10, Magic - 11, Endurance - 10, Intelligence - 2, Discipline - 0".

Daniel Borrego

also the clearly advanced military ww2 tech, is more then likely given to the world by being x, to spice things up for tanya. making her dire circumstances more frequent.

ZOOM

you missed the end credits, they were really important

Riri

They said they did in the video description

Ryn

Yeah, end creds were important but also very predictable bc they are exactly what they did before. She gives ideas. They approve the ideas, and "oh btw, since you understand the plan so thoroughly, why don't you do them for us?"

Ryn

Also, I just happened to pause at 1:37:09, and I'm like where do I know that action from? After a few seconds, I realized he look like a firebender about to bend some lightning xD

Q

why does Sheera want Tanya to fail? :(

Drake Rage

She is weird. She got mad in Attack on Titan when the Scouts saved Eren, after he got kidnapped in Season 2. Sheera: "They all died for nothing" Me: No, they died to save Eren...... lmao.

Drake Rage

I just noticed, Major Uger was trying to signal to Tanya to not say that when she was reporting that their morale was high and there were minimal casualties. Then she got shipped off to another mission, instead of being given some time to rest/relax. That was really funny and shows how Uger really cares about her.

Jay

1:22:50 Lupa had me busting milk out my nose

Vevvev

Nope

raben konig

I'm def cheering for Tanya. She gets shit done no matter how unethical it is, unlike most people. Morals don't exist on the battlefield.

Mozart Waddell
>>62911547

@raben konig Until a treaty is reach and a tribunal convenes that can literally decide your sentencing for breaking those acts stated in the treaty. I love Tanya. I just hope she doesn't pull no Overlord Ainz shit.

rosenthal

I’m mad that bitch didn’t die

Alex

Honestly, the opening scene is a bit open ended about the fate of the empire. To be there's contradictory hints about its defeat and its victory in the chapel scene, but nothing solid on the outcome

Alex

26:57 "why would they do that," I mean, in real life russian communists purged scientists and academics, it's certainly not reasonable but it is realistic
