lmaoooooo Lupa owes yall all an apology!

Comments

Colonel

the speed force not existing in young justice is a decent explanation why Impulse used a machine instead of just running to the past

Colonel

Hopefully, this concludes my commenting on 2yr old events concerning Lupa not knowing granny goodness: How are you going to know the furies and not know granny goodness?? I personally didn't know about the furies but I fs knew abt that granny...

efrem

Lmao when they said gordan shut down the bat signal.i was thinking same shit. They have cell phones. He could just call him. Lupa 😂😂😂😂

Philly The Kid

Holy shit, watching this season again confirms with me that there's way too much stuff going on.. Too many characters too. I remember feeling like this when it was "airing" on dcuniverse.. oh well, I can always just rewatch the season one reactions.. lmao I'm whelmed.

YaBoyRoshi

What i loved about seasons 1 and 2 was that as a non comic reader it eased me into these characters while establishing a rich, complex narrative. Season 3 feels like comic reader fan service tbh, people Ive never seen just appear and do shit lol

Charles Darcy

Nah s3 best season, all the moving parts connect well. DC has an entire library of characters, it'd be dumb to only use the well known ones. Shows like this are prime opportunities to showcase lesser known characters

Philly The Kid

@JD Cole Eh.. I feel like being able to identify and connect with characters is a little more important than just having a ton of them. Just my opinion.

Jay

Bingo. What they pulled off perfectly in Season 2, making all of the disparate stories mesh, they struggled with in S3. Still a solid season with some great eps and moments, but messier.

Oui Oui

Y’all really should watch the end credits. Since y’all already passed one of the episodes end credits, here are the other two y’all should watch: Ep. 24 end credits and the season finale end credits. Definitely worth it.

Madari

@YaBoyRoshi When you guys finish watching this season might I suggest watching the DC Animated Movies I feel like you guys would enjoy them since they go in a watch order similar to the MCU films & it’ll help you understand the characters & lore a little better without having to read the comics.

WolfEatZombies

C'mon Lupa, keep it up and you're getting your comic book pass revoked 😂

Mr. Toastman

@JD Cole I think what Roshi is saying is that he appreciates being introduced to the characters first. They can use whatever character they want, they just shouldn't suppose that the audience already knows who these characters are and their entire histories.

Big Daddy Dre

I been stop listening to lupa comics knowledge when he couldn’t figure out who red hood was😂😂

sansa

i love sheera so much 😭

Charlie baker

I mean lupa buddy we all remember this dc lore and shiz for other shows its not the shows fault nor is it yours if you cant follow th minor references then the references aren't targeted at you

Charlie baker

As a comic nerd this feels way better then s1 or s2s boring ass pot about the reach and krolataians characters no one cares about

Dyno

Yea, 110% they just started throwing in every random DC character they possibly could into this show. It felt like they were maybe trying to flex the whole "DC Universe" angle, because this was one of the first shows that service released. But like, they just throw in character after character, just to have them in there, without ever giving the audience any idea who these people are. If you don't have some encyclopedic grasp of the world, you're just dropped off in the middle of nowhere.

Madari

Yes! I would love to see their reactions. I hope he eventually sees this and makes a voting poll for it 👀

Lurkingposter

To be fair to the show, Guy was referenced/cameoed multiple times before this episode and Big Barta and the furries where introduced in this episode. Knowing their history helps but its not necessary.

Madari

And lol did you mean the tv show or the movie with Damian Wayne?

delete

I may be more of a DC fan but personally I liked that they introduced so much without guiding the audience through. That made it feel more comic like to me where you have to read other books to get the full story of an event.

Kollie123

I can understand wanting to be eased into everything, but at the same time they still eventually explain everything relevant, past seasons also had cameos and characters show up without much explanation at times. I have no idea who the hell spoiler or arrowette are, but they don’t actually matter to the overall plot so it doesn’t detract from anything

MRBS

I've rewatched all three seasons recently and this is kind of cap. ALL the seasons introduce characters that they don't expand on in order to make the world feel lived in. They introduced Blue Devil, Icon, Plastic Man, Guy Gardener, half of the Justice League and many other heroes in Season 1, Ted Kord, Jason Todd and others in Season 2 and Orphan, Elongated Man and others on Season 3. It's really not any different than what they've always done. They throw out a lot of random heroes but the ones you're supposed to pay attention to are the ones they are clearly focusing the entire season on (the main Team in s1, Blue Beetle and Impulse in s2, etc)

MRBS

This is a repost but: I've rewatched all three seasons recently. ALL the seasons introduce characters that they don't expand on in order to make the world feel lived in. CJ Dennis

They've been doing the no sound in space since the beginning of the show lol. 😂😂😂😂

monkeyman

ya the movies have some of the same writers and producers as yj like Phil Bourassa work in the animation department. so yj and the dcau look the same

CJ Dennis

Sure, but I can sympathize with some people who aren't familiar with comics and would like to have a bit more introduction to some characters rather than them just kind of being thrown at you.

Aion

i personally enjoyed s1 and s2 better...cuz there were some random moments in those seasons but it connected very well,i know the comic readers probably enjoyed this season the most but not everyone is a comic reader same way not everyone reads mangas

None None

The problem is that with past seasons, you were watching to see what was going to happen to Blue Beetle or Superboy or Aqualad this week, while any other characters who cameoed were just a bonus. This season, you've just sorta got Halo and Geoforce as the "main focus", both of them usually feel like a subplot more so than something you'd actually watch the show for. So at times it just feels like a parade of characters you don't really care about.

The Truth

You got me dying on the Halo being a box part, most I laughed in a while

MRBS

That isn't really true either, because Halo and Brion's influence on the narrative (as well as the team coming up) drives the story forward in a big way. There's no way you can call Halo or Brion subplots when they both come back in a big way by the end of the season. They are no less subplots than M'Gann in season 2 or Red Arrow in Season 1.

Jazko

They said the speed force wasn’t discovered yet. They are most likely changing that for Young Justice: Phantoms. And there are lots of Easter eggs in the show about Wally. Knowing DC, they will definitely bring him back, maybe in the crazy version from the new 52

Solivigant Kaiba

13:25 Yall clapped right here for the rest of the reaction. I keep replaying! X'D

Thomas_Stilinski

idk if yall still read comments but i think bryon or however you spell it is the same age as violet

Fatherlord

Apocalypse war! (After watching some of the other important ones leading up to it)

MRBS

Red Arrow fans? People that liked his character? Lol. He's a major part of that season, just like Halo and Brion are a major part of this one.

Danny young

Brion is 17 and violet is 16 well physically cuz the mother box and all making her soul older and stuff

Revis

I feel like they gonna drop the show😬😔

Jeffrey D

Anybody catch the smurf at 20:43?

Revis

no like i mean they might not continue after Season 3. but even then I wouldn’t be surprised if the dropped it without finishing the rest of the season

Dude559

"You know what else is joy for mouth and hands" NOOOOOOOOOPE

Spawn_tiger

Since Loki is over for now. Is the Young justice reaction moving back to Wednesday?

HalfroSamurai

"Take out your denchers and show me what you can do."

Jeremi Glasper

Exactly. The whole reason Baron Bedlam almost was able to sneak in as regent of Markovia temporarily was because Brion and his twin brother aren't legally "of age" yet.

Notnotblasian

If you have HBO Max you can watch all of the 45 min movies in order to get more knowledge about DC. The art is similar to Young Justice just a lil more quality and the format is like Marvel Phases 1-4.

None None

I don't think they've ever dropped a series outside of Overlord. (and I don't think they even officially dropped it, just put season 2 so far on the backburner that it'll never see the light of day)

Jeremi Glasper

At 10:00 Granny's fall guy from R&D that "mysteriously died" is the guy that Terra dropped a boulder on.

Yanpo

My knowledge of DC is skin deep. Mostly from the other shows and animated movies as well as a few Death Battles. Only DC comic I've ever read was part of Injustice. I don't really feel lost at all despite not knowing more than half the random characters that show up. Justice League Unlimited did the exact same thing back in the day. It makes the world feel alive and bigger than the few characters we follow and for the people that know those characters, they work as fun cameos.

Jonathan Acosta

nah nigga, don't try acting like you weren't trying to make Sheera seem crazy last episode when she said Aquaman, you stared her down like she said some weird shit and then Lupa said "Yeaaa? Ascalad?" Also Sheera is right, Superman saving will work in their favor. Lupa mentioned her name but never really said who she was, Barda is a member of the Justice League and a Rogue New God from planet Apocalypse, she eventually chooses not to serve Darkseid anymore. And before anyone says anything, that's not a spoiler for anything related to this series lol. It's just a random comic book fact

Cjay26

The same can be said about The old JL shows, but Roshi just uncultured. There are so many DC animated movies that explain these characters to the point that you don't even need to read comics. So LUPA PLEASE CONVINCE THESE NIGGAS TO WATCH ANIMATED MOVIES

Yanpo

I think they should binge watch Justice League and then Justice League Unlimited. Young Justice is its own story and canon, but it takes enough from Justice League that it feels like a spiritual sequel to it.

Jonathan Acosta

I appreciate them trying to bring in all these characters, but I get what people mean when they say it’s too many people with no backstory. Though to be fair, the only reason Roshi and Sheera even question who a character is is cuz Lupa recognizes them and says some shit. Then they’re like “Who’s that?”. If he didn’t always point out every character he recognized without explaining them, it wouldn’t be so confusing lol.

eren1320

I need them to watch justice league and justice league unlimited young justice is good but those two shows are on a whole different level

jesse almonte

yeah, but those two series together go to like 80 or 90 episodes. at 2 a week itd take up a slot for like a full year

Michael Pamon

Idk if it was this video where you talked about the Speed Force doesn’t exist in YJ, but just to point out, the Speed Force doesn’t exist YET. It’s very possible that Wally discovers it and can come back even faster than Barry and Bart

Nikolai Cannady

This makes no sense like None said, they don't drop series and they've been enjoying it and having fun. No clue what made you draw that conclusion.

Nikolai Cannady

Everytime Lupa doubts Sheera, boom clapped lol

Chris Hawking

i wouldn't say that no one cares about Cuz there's still gonna be someone who is into that

Chris Hawking

I'm all for that i think it'll be worth it not just Cuz it's DC but Cuz i just enjoy the shows & feel like others would too But like i always say - To each their own i suppose

rickie woodson

they are called the furies, well the female furies but they usually only refer to them as the furies

Chris Hawking

i know this is a old comment but if you don't mind pls explain what your talking about ?

bella rancois

me with the tiny shred of hope that Wally is still alive since he was the only one left in gar's mindscape. Every detail counts T-T, to me

CJ Dennis

They are referring to the female warriors under Granny Goodness in this episode.
