This show for the most part gives a accurate depiction of Borderline Personality Disorder. Kazutora was so attached and committed to Mikey. He goes to the extent of stealing another's property to derive satisfaction from seeing Mikey happy. When reality kicked in and he's confronted with his action he refuses to take responsibility and correlates his actions and methodology of thinking to Mikey thus ensues his psychotic drive to murder Mikey.

shock doesnt work like that sheera haha but i understand the frustration. baji was shook for multiple reasons 1. finding out it was mikeys brother 2. finding out it was his shop. and then 3 seeing kazutora running up behind him and kazutora was doing that to protect baji in his own way, from his point of view baji had got caught and was about to get attacked by the shop owner. im starting to think baji is doing this to help kazutora because he feels just as responsible for what happened. sidenote i think lupa is right about that being the internal conflict because at that point the gang was already established so it wouldnt matter how long ago it happened considering its his brother. but mickey was just understanding enough to let him remain in the gang only able to pull up when it was a fight popping off.

The logic of Kazutora isn't hard to follow. Mikey had destroyed his bike in efforts to save Baji. Kazutora wanted to get Mikey a new bike for obvious reasons. As shown, Baji was close with Kazutora and tagged along.... Sheera was buggin a bit. When you're in shock trying to process something taking place in the matter of seconds and your friend is charging in with an intent to hurt some one, 9/10 the first word out of your mouth are going to be "Stop" or "Don't".. Context always comes after a command. Furthermore, Kazutora's mental break isn't hard to follow. In his broken mind, if Mikey never sabotaged his moped, he wouldn't need a new one. It's not Mikey's fault, but it can be twisted that way... That said, great reaction! always fun.

Kazutora snapped. He killed Shinichiro. He was saying he was stealing the bike for Mikey. And then in his shock he correlates that all this happen because of Mikey because he wanted to get him a bike and the only way to get it was to steal one. Hence why they were there in the first place. And if he wasnt there he wouldnt have killed Shinichiro. Its a cycle. Thats why he snapped. He’s stuck in that mental loop that caused that reason

Just to clarify. Mikey mention his older brother in a past episode, when he is having a ride with Takemichi. Takemichi asks to Mikey "what's the reason that you wanna be friends with me" and Mikey responds that he reminds him of his older brother that passed away years ago and explains a little bit to him that he's brother is the reason why he wanna change the world to a better place for the delincuents. Yeah, I was SHOCKED with this whole episode, especially the revelation that he was Mikey's brother. It's true that Mikey told Takemitchy that he'd befriended him because he reminded him a bit of his dead brother, but I'd totally forgotten about it. About Kazutora, you can tell he was a problematic kid from the start (that scene of him looking at the birthday family was very meaningful: maybe he comes from a neglectful family and he considers Toman his actual family?), but you have to remember these kids are literally like 12 years old, and when you do something horrible like that, the mind plays tricks with you to "protect" yourself, this boy was clearly traumatized by the whole experience, thus irrationally blaming Mikey as a way to "cope" with his guilt. What I dont get is WHY the hell is Baji taking sides with him when he was clearly feeling super bad about the whole thing. My guess is Baji is infiltrating Toman, and possibly trying to somehow reach out to Kazutora to get the idea of killing Mikey out of his head. Damn... This story is seriously good...

this story explores the lives of so many children who have traumas or are neglected and turn to companionship and violence to find a sense of purpose in their life. they don't sound like 12 year olds nor do they look it, but u kinda have to keep it in mind while watching. their decisions are spontaneous, driven from emotion and they're all kinda lost even tho they don't act like it. kazutora is a rlly good example, of a kid dealing with trauma through projection, they all also barely have a close relationship with their parents which plays a huge factor (hence why they showed kazutora grimace at a happy family, cause he's most likely a neglected child too). loved ur reactions tho i was shook while reading the manga lmao, looking forward to more <3

Kazutora is displaying a defense mechanism, its not unheard of for someone to react that way especially if they are already psychologically troubled and then live through a traumatic event. The psyche protects itself in whatever manner it can.
