Carmilla is off the deep end

Comments

Sarah Espin

I find it funny how Carmilla is a parallel to Dracula but she gets no sympathy. Like they’re both driven mad and consumed by rage, Dracula because his wife was murdered and Carmilla because she was mistreated by men for centuries, but Carmilla she’s so hated by them. Wasn’t Roshi all about Draculas murder early on?

AOArlert

The difference is Carmilla treats everyone else like shit. Dracula was at least nice to Isaac and hector and understood why all the vampires were getting angsty. Carmilla just hates everyone

The Endless

the parallels do line up when it comes to letting the actions of those who've wronged them in the past affect others and the innocent however their motivations are different and that's what makes a big difference. Due to how recent it was of his wife being killed, it gives him more of a sympathetic/empathetic reason for us, plus with the show further validating Vlads mission with showing various instances of humans not changing and wanting to overcome the very same kind of ignorance that brought him and her together in the first place! but with Carmilla as understandable as it is that she turned that way bc of her experiences, trauma has never been an objectively justifiable reason to inflict cruelty onto others and that's why most people cant get behind/like her character. its like a "I'm doing this bc I've tried it another way and once again, they did not live up to her(his wife's) expectations and even took the most important thing to me ever so i give up on them" vs "the traumas of my past affect me to the point where I've become just like the one that made me like this".

Carmilla is that kid that wants icecream and cake for desert

I don’t think the ring is like some omnipotent item that controls everything he does, I think it just makes it so he has to do what they say, but he can do what he wants otherwise, like he’s a slave but if they don’t give him any orders he’s ‘free’ until they do at least I think. Kind of like the command seals.

Malcolm Hughes

Trevor was playing Super Smash Bros. with items enabled toward the end

EJB

Also I’m pretty sure Lenore gave everyone else rings too, so it isn’t just her hector is bound to.

Tim Chaos

Lenore and Hector’s relationship is so spicy 👀 it seems like last season Hector was being sincere and Lenore duplicitous, and this season it’s switched around, yet they have the same flirty dynamic

Lupa is Dadi

This season called smoke season

Tim Chaos

I love how noticeably tired Trevor and Sypha are in the barn fight. Normally Sypha had deadly accuracy with her icicles but at first she was hitting non vital spots and even missing a lot. And of course Trevor had his shenanigans with the bucket 😂 I wonder if those guard dudes might have lived if they were well rested (though c’mon dude pay attention to the monster right in front of you 😆)

If you all were feeling the animation of Castlevania, the studio did another animated Netflix series called Blood of Zeus that is pretty decent.

The Pebble

The art and animation were great but the writing was god awful, mostly in the dialogue; Practically ripped off Star Wars original saga as well lol

Dude559

Blood of zeus was kinda mediocre imo...even animation wise twas a bit off

Dude559

Yeh the bit with the gem is a bit....weird.

Diego Mariani

This stories are pretty well written; but my man Isaac, he is the the fucking season for me. Its just something about his zen hunger, it’s like a state of mind I would like to achieve hahaha.

Jahkir

Trever gathering the infinity stones

Anthony

I literally have no idea what all three of y’all are talking about. Animation, writing, music were all amazing. The show was widely received as great on all aspects ^

st

My favourite thing is that any time a character takes major damage, Lupa somehow also takes damages and reacts the same way. LMAO

delete

everyone complains about the writing in the blood of zeus but it's written exactly like greek mythology.

Halibel

please watch the witcher animated movie in netflix guys

Reign

all of the sister have rings. He's loyal to all of them by force not just lenore.

The Pebble

Eh, let them speculate on the rings and stuff my guy, you're not really spoiling but you're denying the fun of the theories they have getting proven right or wrong, chill.

Joseph Tom

4:36 it looks like skyrim wine 😂

Travis

its already stated in the show that she can't betray them before that even happened so idk

Lupa is Dadi

They get fact checked all the time so it's nothing new lol reign was just helping them out

Repsol

The writing definitely was not amazing lmao. Animation was great and it's watchable but the show is literally the epitome of mediocre.

Anthony

It’s written on how it was supposed to. It’s based on Greek mythology and there was no plot holes are part of the story that didn’t make sense. The story had a set up, a climax, and an ending. I don’t know what you wanted from the show. Y’all really are ASSHOLES

josh1414

nah carmillas a girlboss thoooooo

Totally Thomas

I see what they wanted to pull off. It just wasn't executed well; thus being mediocre. It clearly has a setup for another season so hopefully they have a change of pace.

KevMath

Sheera got freaked tf out hahaha

Eugene Walker

I can't blame Carmilla. She a natural born chain snatcher.

Anthony

It wasn’t mediocre at all though it was actually a very written well series I think y’all just expected something else ^

Cameron Eldridge

Wasnt a fan of Carmilla until i thought about all the stupid old men in charge these days lol
