I heard that this show is one of those series where the Live Action is the superior version than the Anime. The manga was fire and I heard they started a sequel manga last year.

You must have posted this while watching instead of at the end. To play devil's advocate, pre-transition Kuina in the flashbacks does look a lot like asshole with the gun guy in his flashbacks. As well as the actress playing Kuina is in a small bathing suit for the entirety of the show. If they had put her in a sports bra and board shorts, the imagery would have made the understanding of the flashback easier to non-Japanese audiences. (This isnt me saying that trans can't have transitional surgery, but at 18 years old, to a perfect natural female figure...I don't think we are there yet medically)

I hate saying this and I know ppl hate hearing this because multiple reasons. But anybody that watches this series, read the manga. The adaption is cool but isn’t close to how tightly written the manga is nor has its emotional beats. I also recommend the side chapters (.5 chapters) when reading through since they add more depth to current or future characters.

i dont think u know abt separating the actor from their character, cause u under all these comments telling them "she isnt trans" when it quite literally shows in her flashback. and we dont know for sure the person that plays her is trans or not. and even then, i dont think it matters. ur just looking for a reason to be transphobic
