Shira was kinda right when referring to Cheshire and Shade’s relationship. Back in the season 3 episode he was under mine control briefly but at the end Cheshire was able to free Shade from any more mind control and they seemed to leave off on food terms. So she gave him that angry look because she realized he linked up with the shadows and she’s against them now.

Seems Jade didn't completely abandon Artemis just yet when they were kids. Also I'm now starting to think both Onyx and Cassandra really ARE being straight. Furthermore Garth is obviously still all depressed over what happened to Superboy but they're not even sure if he's really dead or not and Orphan has finally been revealed as Lady Shiva's daughter who can't even talk because they literally took out her vocal cords to make her a silent shadow. I hope we get close to the real truth next episode.

Honestly, the little girl turned into a souless weapon trope is starting to grow stale for me, but since this show has so many alternatives to that trope, I can accept it. I'm referring specifically to Orphan here. Cassandra Savage, Artemis and Chesire were clearly meant to be proper warriors rather than souless weapons. S3 was the PR season, all about who gets to look good, and especially with how it ended with everyone voting self-righteous Jefferson as leader of the League, it’s just couldn’t work. What Brion did, even if you agree with it, was not a good look (That’s with he’s building his own media empire and doing some philanthropic/humanitarian stuff). I’m sure that even if Jefferson knew Brion was manipulated, he wouldn’t invite him back in the League, even for off-the-books or off-world ops.

Well, you both can be right on this. I do hope that eventually DC and Marvel dive into Black Super Heroes that harshly fell into obscurity due to black erasure. Like there had to be black super heroes who were kept from being famous due to the racism of America, especially back in the early days ( in comic lore and in our real world with comic sales ). One good example is Blue Marvel. He was a type of Black Superman, he basically had generic super hero powers and had a secret identity, until one day the public found out he was black ( he wore a body suit that covered his head to toe ). The White America was furious and JFK had to personally tell Blue Marvel to step down as a hero ( though he Blue Marvel he was all for him being a hero, but clearly America, White America, wasn't ready given the reaction ) and then he just fell into obscurity. Another good example was Mr. Terrific in that terrible Injustice movie. I sure as hell didn't know who he was until then and you'd think a lot of black people would know black comic heroes but they don't. I think stories like this need to be told more and Falcon & Winter Soldier took a step despite me not liking the overall show but that whole thing about there being a Black Super Soldier and nobody knowing about it because of Black Erasure was a good plot point. Again, I'd like to see it more.

He’s definitely not, but most of those are things they did in their past and they’ve agreed not to do while they’re on the team. Brion also didn’t regret it in those moments afterwards, so why would they accept him back when he’s still willing to break their ‘no killing’ rule? In context, he was psychically manipulated and should be taken back, but from their perspective he’s not going to ‘make it up’ because he doesn’t even think he needs to.

I think it was just Shiva herself that was forgettable, she rarely had an impact on any of the central plot lines. Just Batman’s covert mission and the Ocean Master beheading, and while those actions were memorable her design is pretty basic as well as her name. I just watched the episode a couple minutes ago and I wouldn’t be able to tell you anything about her design except that she has black hair.
