Ekko is RAW!

Arcane Ep 8 Reaction when?

Comments

Random Guy

since ekko is still in the game i doubt he'd be dead

Godrick

bro i just noticed they were adding the chick jinx killed in episode 3 when ekko was showing VI the mural

Charlie

any valid frustrations with jinx is always met with some half-assed bullshit excuse about mental health. just because shitty actions were done out of Ptsd/trauma doesn’t mean those actions aren’t still shitty.

Wrëck

I find it hilarious if this show came out now and the gang saw that hairstyle on ekko they'd throw up lol

Kevin

"But she's a child, just a child" bro, everyone with a close-minded thinking say stuff like that to justify everything that has been happening. There's not black or white, just greys and everyone in this show is accountable for their actions but something must be clear and is that Powder was pushed to grow up in a way that wasn't for her. And after she didn't have the time to make it work and everything got fucked up. I've seen people said "Oh, hes a cute nice child" but then after years they change to "Oh, he's/she's can't be normal" to "Oh, I knew he/she was going to end like that". Everyone is always pointing stuff on a kid and don't take the time to fucking do their job as adults but how fucking we like to point and point and point and point out things without realize that our past words made that psycho or criminal. Yeah, Jinx (Powder) is right now fucked up but because of the environment she grew up after losing HER parents in the worst way possible, a sister with a forced role as a mother and an entire fucked up place but hey, let's keep pointing how fucking evil she is because it was inevitable.

Aniki Pft
>>138487668

I had a hard time reading this comment, no offense lmao. Jinx always displayed hints at not being "normal" (which could stem of the lost of her parents) and as a kid who's constantly being told they're dead weight, she felt as if she has prove herself. I love this show and I don't harshly pin the blame on Vi or Powder, as they both were terribly affected by the events that took place. But of course there are things that lead up to the outcome. Overall I more or less understood what you meant.

Ruben Pomp

So if they are black they can’t have a rap song??? Stfu man stop acting so pathetic

InfamousD

the amount of lp ekko has cost me hate this little n

Travis James
>>82065786

lowkey. "moving on" before roshi could finish explaining just shows how he is in a disagreement.

Rishad GB
>>72321644

turns out it was just showing their childhood game and not powers

Aidan Price

Lupa the only racist here

Jesse Hill
>>132749608

Frl, that dreadstyle on black video game characters is mad played out 😂

King of New York

I already made peace with the "no sympathy for Jinx" lmao. I think Jinx is a phenomenal character and is a great representation of trauma. Jinx and Silco are my favourites but Jace, Viktor and Vander are also great for me. I don't know if Lupa was just messing around or was actually a bit upset at the rap music being used for Ekko because he's black, but either way I thought it was all dope. Loved the sequence with the spraypaint art backgrounds where they turned into children.

Mollywopper

damn between the excessive powder hate and bitching through an awesome animation sequence cuz of some rap music this gotta be a bottom 5 lupa reaction. Crazy to see how far they've come as content creators tho.

Mollywopper
>>72318344

damn I read this comment before I watched and tried to prepare myself but good lord you weren't joking. That ending back and forth with roshi was kinda pathetic.

Justin Spencer

Damn first time I shed a tear in abit echo/vi reunion was dope

Ariginal

ekko rlly damn near 1 tapped jinx the sec he got close, lmao wym hes not gonna be able to take her out

Yeh2001

Im fast as fuk boiii

Ryan

hype

Julius

Here we go!

Halibel

bro jinx needs to go no cap

Zzz

Ayyy lesss gooo

Kevin Davison

Ekko has always had a rap theme, in game with his skins.

Dark Danny

a nigga got work in a few hours but i don't even care i have been waiting all day for this

GermyRTZ

yeah well... sleep is overrated I suppose

Outcast107

Oi Oi Oi OI Yes we have Episode 8 reaction. But what about a reaction to your reaction to episode 8 and above HuH? WHEN THAT?!?! HUH? lol, thanks guys for all the laughs you give us.

Zekey

Ekko does have a rap theme —it's weird but there are black characters in-game without the "black kid rap" thing. I understand Lupa's frustration, but I think their intention is genuine.

Villenthessis

The duel between Ekko and Jinx is epic af! The visuals and the background music are perfect. It's even more sad because in the games, when Ekko meets Jinx, he says "I had a crush… until you started talking to the gun." So the fact that he's still hesitating here, it means that he still really cares for her.

Smash Bran'Discootch

Just another case of police officers shooting unarmed black folk smh

Totally Thomas

Ekko is badass! with great character development; some saying he even loved Jinx before her complete mind break. And that scene with his pocket watch pays homage to his game ability to rewind time!

Caleb Campbell

Ekko is a RAW character, hes got a song (Giants), and hes got a cinematic (Seconds). He's one of my favourites.

Julius

The ending sequence with Ekko vs Jinx was the best part!!🔥🔥🔥

ApplePieOG

If you guys wanna see more Ekko rapping, look up True Damage on youtube.

Smash Bran'Discootch

Also what's really great is like, yall were pretty much calling everything that was gonna happen, but just because you could see where they were going with it doesn't make it bad because it's presented so well. Like it's got some classic story tropes but they're executed really well.

Prinnigan

I’m so glad y’all like Ekko because he’s hands down my favorite character design and character in league

Maxxy

Ekko is dubbed "the boy who shattered time" thats what the drawn part was, the next 5 seconds, a future he knew about and anticipated, it was beautifuly done too

Zekey

Lupa's so funny —fuck the people who were crying in the comments.

Jamil Hicks

Let’s count how many times Roshi took a sip of juice but it never reached his mouth 😂😭😭

Dark Danny

The way I see it, the flash back in between the fight was showing how Jinx and Ekko use to play. Yeah she messed up on missions but it’s been said and shown that she has skills even when she was little but Ekko isn’t the same little boy anymore, he leveled up. You should watch the Everbody wants to be my enemy official music video, it shows a little more of Powder and Ekko’s relationship

Tim Chaos

Jinx is basically that one meme: Vi: “please don’t kill dozens of people” Jinx: “umm im a minor and literally neurodivergent soooo 🙄”

Cam Foster

shit i guess Lupa was the most mature 9 year old ever then, god damn. Kids ain't allowed to make immature mistakes i guess lmao.

Joshua Burns

I’m pissed I’m sick of these damn shows killing off the badass black character shit is lame

Cameron Smith

Ok so I don’t know if the official music video is cannon but y’all should watch it on y’all own time bc it shows how close ekko and jinx were as kids and just makes the fight sad

Anonymous

Jinx wasn't taking advantage of Ekko's hesitation, life fucked her up and things change so much so that her close friend is beating her to death. They both realize this. She was genuinely scared not playing to emotion. Her eyes were also grey as symbolism of the old Powder. That grenade was meant for her, she wanted to off herself. Ekko was the only one that moved away.

Dylan

Hurts more too when you watch the music video for "everybody wants to be my enemy", shows more scenes of ekko and jinx being buddies as kids

Jdogzero Silverblade

the thing he uses on his eye doesnt give medicine. it pokes his eye and releases the toxic in his eye

Thallon

This nigga lupa is s t u b b o r n lmaoooo

Morgan

THEY DROPPED ALL THREE AHHHHH

Asante Upshur-Benson

The rap two songs for Ekko’s intro & fight were from Pusha T & Denzel Curry. Riot gave him the most dope osts in the series imo🔥 Ekko became my fav character after this fight lol

delete

i am just making this comment to tell lupa we love him and support him as he reads through the comments.

Jake Thompson

I love how the mom has prosthetic fingers from when she had frostbite. The little details of this show never fail to impress me.

Crinnit

Just so you know the fight scene is how they used to play with paint balls. Thats what the fight was showing and they both new hence them both getting ready for it and Jinx laughed when she realized

Quinton Campbell

just because you understand trauma doesnt mean you understand jinx, its easy to attack her from our consumer point of view, but thats y they show you the voices talking to her so you can see how shes misguided.

Mad4Life
>>72274790

If he wants to act petty then he shouldn't be surprised that he's getting flamed in the comments.

Otter Mane

That was Pusha T on the intro

Chedder

Lupa blowing himself up this whole season like damnnnnn.

MojoJojoGojo

"I had a crush on you until I saw you talked to your weapons" .. I love that y'all can't predict nothing good thing you binge...Jinx saw the game Ekko wanted to play.. but deep down Powder is still there.. ONTO The next one lol

MojoJojoGojo

You guys are finding where the redemption for POWDER would happen now... Did down for the legacy for Jinx

Mad4Life

Lupa really turned his clown meter high at the end of this video.

David

ok ok fun fact that i didnt notice till a rewatch, when cait, ekko and vi are walking on the bridge you can hear the metal firelights inside of all of the lamps. Jinx put them in there beforehand

mzwethu
>>72276186

i mean i dont think ive seen any malicious comment even in the other comment sections. I'd say most people were logical and spiting facts. Didn't see anyone be disrespectful or maybe im just blind

Guns

This was extremely epic for the fight, cus this was literally the FIRST ever fight between the LEGENDS in a cinematic scene in a movie.

Guns

The reason why ekko was doing that with his pocket watch and laughing was him referring to their past, basically saying: “remember how we used to play back then? Let’s run that back!”

Ginzo

The "urban" community. LMFAO

Jebro245
>>72276186

your blind but also a lot of those comments have been deleted

WuffleIron

That Ekko rewind after getting shot was actually such a good 'easter-egg'!

Facundo Brouwer de Koning

Thank you for posting this so early and on Monday!! you just make my work from home shift so much better!

Luhbabytay

Ah i see the reaction begin lol let see who getting clap today

Eliana

It’s not Jinx wanting to sabotage her sister and her girlfriend. Y’all can literally see Milos presence LOOMING on her and steering her towards madness. It’s like sheera said, her trauma went unchecked.

LUPASAN
>>72272971

I dont recall murdering all my friends because I didn’t dis obey my elders. Yes I was a Mature 9 year old. Try again

shamefur display
>>72272971

Lol you guess right, kids aint allowed to do many things. Even if you're a kid, as long as you're capable of making conscious intelligent actions, like making fkin bombs for example, you hold responsibility for what you do.

Eronthaboy

Lmao I was with Lupa when I first saw this episode & the Firelights got a “rap nigga” intro video I was like “wait a god damn minute” they better be glad the visuals were dope and that I called it being Ekko in episode 6

Newerk

attacked them niggas with bottled air

Jorge Viera

Ekko is actually part of a music group inside the league of legends world, i dint know if it has to do with lore but he is.

Tzezuko

Aye, Ekko is part of a group called "True Damage" which consists of Ekko, Senna, Akali, Qiyana and Yasuo. The champion skins and the single were really popular and garnered a lot of praise from the community so it makes sense for them to carry that theme over into the show - they also gave Ekko dreads in Arcane like he had in the music video....usually Ekko has a tall mohawk instead. Link to their single "Giants" here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVZpHFXcFJw

KairosTheOne

The saddest part of this whole episode for me, is that I think we were all expecting Jinx to shoot Ekko when he hesitated. But instead you just see Jinx give him this sad, hopeless, broken look. The second she’s sees Ekko’s face up close, it hits her of the monster she’s become and it breaks her heart, and in that final moment when she pulled the pin on that grenade, she just didn’t care anymore, she wanted to die too. And in a way she did. What little that was left of Powder died on that bridge.

JsnSkg

That paintballing scene is one of the best scenes in the show. The art direction is absolutely amazing.

JsnSkg

Fun Fact: Finn (the guy with the golden jaw) is voiced by MIYAVI, who is a Japanese pop star. Some of his music can be heard in ID:INVADED (the ED theme as well as two insert songs).

Tyler Mendez

They're making a 2D fighting game and Ekko is gonna be playable, but it's not coming out until like 2023 or so.

Luhbabytay

LUPA upset at the end lmao get over it and move on

Delinda Arts

waking up to act 3 arcane reacts letss gooo lol

Justin Neason

Why Lupa mad about the rap song LOL. Rap is our shit, what u want a punk rock track for it? I mean I guess bro lmao

CrackerJack

Talking about Ekko and rap… meanwhile True Damage

DxShadow

Ekko is one OP motherfucker in the game too.

Iwantto Beanon

there are multiple songs from riot featuring ekko rapping, i get it lol.. but calm down lupa <3

Luhbabytay

IT Ashame when even roshi gotta explain to lupa lol

Minus2

Lupa at the end of the video lmao, killin me with the "but she's a kid so everythings okay"

Danny

Silco be giving off that Gustavo vibe from BB

Lola

"She was just a child" should be a new meme lmao

Arsean Wilbon

lmao Lupa has no sympathy for mental health patients lol.

Lola
>>72279578

The powder fans jumped at him like hungry piranhas

Cephandrius

Prince of Persia: Sands of Ekko

Deric Jackson
>>72274452

It's injecting him with shimmer too or else we wouldn't see purple come up from his face as well

VlSch
>>72272971

LUPASAN, did you lose your parents at 5-6, witness a slaughter, and then live on the streets full of violence as well?

Arknightoni

Lol get over it cause no matter how much you wine gotta deal with this crazy bitch till the end

Sinbaddon

Many rappers have said that 'rap' music is black music. Being mad just because they used it for Ekko, who is also used in many songs as the rapper, is a bit silly.

Nana

Salt was REAL from lupa this episode reminiscent of those re zero reactions Lool.

Giyuu
>>72297231

At this point lupa just the one playing bad cop 😂😂

Nick Lehnhoff

Jesus Lupa is butthurt fr. Kinda rough to see honestly

Nana
>>72313306

Lool watch their discussion to at the end of the finale they clear the air

Anamo

For those who don't know Ekko in the game, he is capable of rewind the time. So when he is against Jinx on the bridge, before he go at her, we saw the rewind animation and then he could avoid and predict Jinx's moves. That's why he smashed her ^^. And then we can understand in the 4th episode when they attacked the ship, he's looking at his clock because that's shows him the amount of time he has "control" of. He knows what is going to happen in this period of time...(sorry i'm french so don't know if I was understandable, I hope so ^^)

Foxyguava

--Final Fantasy Hip Hop Remix Intro plays on Black-run YaBoyRoshi Youtube Channel --Lupa: ... ... ... --Aracane plays Pusha T --Lupa: Aye what the fuck I know it's not the same, it was just funny to see.

Ash

I don't know anything about league of legends but I just realized Ekko was in the True Damage music video on YouTube awhile back. It's cool to see more of his lore in Arcane. :D

Miko Wu

I think Ekko just kicked it away.

Jaquan Ford
>>72321644

im not too sure but i think it was just a teaser cause its the gemstone that gives him the ability to rewind time so i think they are just teasing the ability.

Javi

Lupa has me crying LMAOO

Dopamine

They always do rap stuff for ekko check out "True Damage-Giants"

Craig Stanley

The Ekko in this is much closer to the Ekko the game players know :D

C-Bridge

Ekko Gives me "NightWing" VIBEZ ~Dope character design Too~

Vevvev
>>72272117

He was not unarmed and this has nothing to do with race either. He was just a guy who the villain hired to keep stuff under raps

JT
>>72274790

its the other way around he cant be surprised of hate for being petty when hes being petty cuz yall in the comments are being asses lmao

blackfoxx98 012

Here’s the thing about time if you can’t make the most out of your time you don’t deserve a single extra second - Ekko

ken_tka
>>72274790

then yall mfs shouldnt be surprised that someone is pissed after getting mass flamed by a bunch of virgins

ken_tka
>>72303194

you ppl are fucking idiot simps bro holy shit. she is literally a mass murderer and terrorist. idgaf if you have a mental health problems, if youre out here killing people then you gotta go. she aint just a "mental health patient"

Nana
>>72303194

Chill tf out nigga. Nobody said she was a saint like what’s so hard to understand.

Ranginald Vagel

Jayce going bananas with that hammer, I want to see more of THAT

Cheezcaek
>>72321644

Him looking at the clock in the earlier episode is just because their crystal glue grenades only lasted 5 minutes, which he was keeping track of. He said so right when they show up.

Sheraya san
>>72272227

his smugness was kinda cringey. hes too old to not understand that people having empathy for her & understanding of how she came to be the way she is, doesn't mean they're justifying all her actions. hes entitled to his opinion but speaking for people who get her character was very weird imo that im entitled to

Thomas_Stilinski

i get where lupa is coming from but i also get why she turned out that way all that bad shit happened at a super young age she lost almost everyone she loved and it was her fault

Dark Danny
>>72391109

I don't know what they said to him, but he clearly doesn't understand characters like jinx. no one said what she's doing is right but he's completely ignoring that Jinx is insane, she literally hears voices and clearly has trust issues.

ken_tka
>>72303194

talkin bout how shes just a "mental health patient". like how many serial killers in history were just "mental health patients"? fkn clowns

ken_tka
>>72391109

just because shes insane doesnt justify all the bad things shes done wtf

Dark Danny

What’s wrong with y’all? Like I said nobody’s saying it’s right at least I’m not. You can’t ignore her craziness or what make her crazy or you’ll just end up hating her. Imagine getting mad at her and asking what’s wrong with her or does she not see that it’s just that? Why is is she taking this situation and turning it into something it’s not? Cause she’s insane and she knows it. She constantly goes back and forth with herself, an example of that is when she saw Vi hug Caitlyn, she knew exactly what that was but the voices in her head told her something else

Nana
>>72303194

Nobody said what you said how you saying it. Why you burning for ? All over the comments acting out.

Candy

is that pusha T on the theme song🔥

Dune

That scene between ekko and jinx was niceeee

Scott Riley Adrueno

I still don't get why you hate on Lupa for getting mad at Powder. Her character was written in a way that literally makes her hard to like. It gives the right mix of "I pity her" and "you need to go". The fact that Lupa gets heated on her actions is testament enough to how well she was written. WTF do you want ? Love the terrorist unconditionally? I mean, I've hated Professor Snape but that doesnt mean I don't see him as a well written character.

rayman

is he REALLY getting offended for black representation? He's takin the shit right, he not serious? Ekko has a Pusha T theme song yo that's so dope. Would it have been better if the CLEARLY URBAN KID from the literal underground had a country song?

AOArlert
>>72673669

Lmao, what about Ekko in the series is anymore “Urban” than any other character? I’m not complaining but you can’t deny the fact that anytime a random rap song is in a show it’s almost guaranteed to be centred around a black character. They were just poking fun at the fact, relax

Chelle
>>72645144

Pretty sure people just want to see Lupa show some actual sympathy for once 🤷‍♀️ Clearly Jinx can barely keep herself together a lot of the time, and other times she genuinely can’t. But he blames her for literally everything she does as if the show hasn’t made it blatantly fucking obvious that she is insane. And there is in fact a reason insanity is considered to be a valid defense in court. It’s an excuse for one’s actions, not a justification. You don’t have to “love the terrorist” or even agree with them to understand their actions and sympathize with their struggle.

Zazies Beret
>>72673669

Ekko is urban how? Because he's black? You're proving Lupa's point lol. The show played into the stereotype of black = hip hop/"urban" that is utilized in many shows, films, and just media in general.

SupremeCai
>>72673669

Holy moly ya'll wildin, he's from the city/underground he's an urban kid LMAOO ya'll the ones exasperating the point and proving it if anything xD His theme and the fight song was fire. Getting upset at it for some shit like that is just petty so feel free.

Kurenai Luffy

You guys pleaseeeeeeeee! if you love Ekko react to the True Damage music video!

ElasticMemories

I really thought Ekko would die given this scenario, but given his raw af ability in LoL, I don't think so anymore lol

Jdogzero Silverblade
>>73666367

everyone in league of legends is like 10 or more years older than they are in this show. also the watch ekko has basically means he always wins fights. it basically rewinds time so he can relive the fight over and over again until he wins.

osiris
>>72673669

okay first off, don’t EVER tell a black man how to feel about how representation is presented. goofy.

Charlie baker
>>72645144

Jinx isn't hard to like, shes a cool character. No one in the show is hard to like, hell silco is very cool in how hes presented even if hes an antagonist. I don't know why a good character becoming an antagonist suddenly means a character is hard to like. The show would be boring without the jinx Vi dynamic, as cool as eikko and silco the rest of the cast is pretty average. So hating on jinx and saying she needs to gois pretty pointless and kinda misses that heart of the show.

LiquidXGravity

All these people simping on jinx lol

Keegan Uerata

Im with lupa, fuck dat bitch lol

Gigi

timebomb goated

Serg
>>72303194

dam dion go hop on his dick if you're so upset lol

Serg

Lupa the type of person to clown you and dismiss your take on a character and their mindset if it doesn't correlate with his lol

Daniel S
>>72673669

for the last fucking time, ekkos theme song is even in the fucking game league of legends itself why the fuck should they change that in the fuckin series?

Bernkastel

Ehhh Ekko has always had rap music for his stuff
