That's one of the things I like about the show though. Nobody's perfect, they're all human with faults. Even the Miyagi-Do karate/teachings that seemed without fault in the movies is put in a different light and come off as condescending in this show.

Exactly they set up in a way for u to decide. But most reactions I see at this point have had enough with Cobra Kai. I feel like people vilify Kreese because on how he was in the movies. While here I feel his teachings hold merit, but the way he teaches is misguided and if slightly toned down would come across better.

A lot of it could be boiled down to what you yourself are projecting on the characters and the narrative, and that the writers favor relativist morality, but it's clear at this point that Cobra Kai is intentionally malevolent and downright felonious. It's understandable to relate or sympathize with Kresse & co., the show's staff put a lot of work to make that possible, but they also don't make it ambiguous that Cobra Kai is dangerous and cult-like. It's not as murky and high-stakes as what was going on in AoT.

Yeah this turned from a show to real life fast. This is a scary close depiction to real life Juvie. There's always a lookout and fights break out all the time behind the guards backs. Robby should've studied Judo and grappling for this guy. He needs to use his force and weight against him. I felt that ass whooping. Nobody is more patient and throw hands faster than a nigga in Juvie. By the time the guards gets back in the room you're laid out and their half way through "To Kill a Mockingbird"

The amount of factors that go into it though, its not black or white in any way. He was a deadbeat early on that led to his girlfriend cutting him out of her and his babies life. Sidelined for long enough that his son resented him and wanted nothing to do him. Whats different between that and a teacher that forms a fatherly bond with a student in school and helps them in the best way that they can so they can offer what help they can to someone that matters to them. By saying Johnny doesn't have his priorities straight by wanting to be there for a kid that changed his life for the better and is making him a better person.

To a certain degree I agree with Kreese's philosophy of not showing any mercy but imo it should apply when you find yourself in a position where it's the last resort. I don't like the fact that Cobra Kai is trying to start a battle when there doesn't have to be one like when Hawk and the others ganged up on the little kid for no reason. How old are you and where abouts do you live ?(region, not city) Also, you should go watch the REACT channels video for fathers day with dads reaction. And listen to the part with the school teacher that is reacting. I can't begin to know your upbringing, your station in life, family history, whatever, but I can say you being so judgmental and hard to point black and white makes me feel like your a bit skewed on some of the realities of life that come from age, a harder upbringing, seriously trying times between fathers and sons. It just comes across like you are out of your element with how quick and fast you are to latch onto certain elements without acknowledging the others that are legitimate real factors in some peoples lives, and an aspect of the show that honestly could hit home for a lot of viewers. Which is the reason the show is as good as it is. Regardless of kids beating the shit out of each other, the sprinkles of reality in the show really ring true.

Sam is the number one cause of ALMOST EVERY PROBLEM IN THE SHOW! - Became friends with rich bitches and got into a car crash with Johnny's car. Fled and didn't tell anyone about it. - Ditch her old friend because she doesn't want to look bad in front of others. - Once everyone abandons her/lies about her, then she tries to get back with her old friend as if nothing happen. Which she gets shut down. - Kept dodging Miguel wanting to meet her parents. Which would have clear probably 99% of what the new cobra kai is all about. Cause nothing Robbie has done has been exactly fair. Johnny has been trying to get back into his life but it ends up being the same shit over and over. The worst one being when his mom mentioned that he wanted Robbie to move in with him and "decided" to go pay him a visit at his dojo. Caught him praising his first and only student at the time and out of spite decided to go run off to his rival that HE KNEW his dad had beef with. Robbie plays a big part in their relationship problem as well.

I dont think Miguel is trying to elicit sympathy but perhaps understanding when he tells her about that, Sam was a bit condescending in that moment but also understandably so, she has had an easier life and Tory went psycho and overreacted. Still though she missed the point in that hospital scene and Miguels reaction shows two thoughts, 1 "Yeah yeah i know" but also 2 a hint of "Cmon Sam".

This is probably the least controversial season, yet this comment section somehow managed to find controversy in it. The show is pretty clear that Johnny made a fucked up choice here. I've disliked the Robbie character since the episode he was introduced, but that's Johnny's kid whether he likes it or not. Miguel and his family have always been very understanding with Johnny despite how impossibly difficult he is. They would've given him a pass to go see his son. Even if they wouldn't, that's still his son.
