i mean a character doesn’t have to be vulnerable or have their turn them into a good guy for it be good writing or for her to be “good” or “bad actor she’s giving what the writers and directors told her to give. there are a lot of characters that are one dimensional but i still think the plot writing is still great

Yeah, but Tory and Robby aint innocent in that bs either. Both of them clearly saw Miguel and Sam were on bad terms and trying to make up, and they both made conscious decision to run interference - Tory interrupting Miguel when he showed her he was trying to make up with Sam by making that video, and Robby hiding that Miguel came to return the medal and apologize. They both interfered in the relationship for selfish reasons and then played victim when it went wrong for them.

Your absolutely right but here’s my thing. Robby did what he did after the fact that he literally just got with Sam. Like not even 2 days had past since they got together and Miguel just shows up after not speaking to Sam for a long while. Robbys actions were wrong but understandable. Now Tory I would say is more fair because she had nobody and Miguel and Sam weren’t even communicating at that point besides his attempt to make that video. So why should she let Sam have Miguel if every time you (Tory) see her (Sam) she’s with Robby

Well, going by what she said last year during the press coverage of this, she didn't initially want to, but she hadn't seen the show and people were telling her "You've got to! Cobra Kai is amazing!" Then she watched it, liked it, and (like Tamlyn Tomita) she liked the scripts they sent over for her to read. Her only criteria was that they let Ali explain her side of things, which they did...so she was on board. Regarding her performance, I agree it was a bit off. But to be fair, she hadn't played the character in 35 years. It's got to be hard to get yourself back in the mindset of someone you played in 1984, when the character was 16, and now she's supposed to be 51.

When Johnny was busy being kicked in the face in the 1984 All Valley Tournament, Carmen was literally a baby living in Ecuador. I'm never gonna like Tory ever. Why? Everytime she's on screen she's nothing but this 'hardcore' bitch. And personally, I find the actress just sucking at acting because she ends up making herself look like an unrealistic low budget indie film villain more than a bitch with a grudge. Tory always being "hardcore" is more on the writers. They gave her no development but there have been moments where Tory showed a more vulnerable side and that was with Miguel. Hopefully in the new season, they'll actually give Tory some character development
