Witcher is our word roshi sayin witcha

SexyMrMe

yess finally

Gadiel Torres

Notification crew let’s go 😂😂

SomeStupidGoat

Day 3 of asking you guys to also react to the witcher animated movie on netflix, Nightmare of the Wolf. Its got gorgeous action scenes and it provides some cool background info on a character in season 2 as well as an event than is mentioned in season two. I recommend watching it between season one and two so you know enough about the universe when you watch it.

Quintin

How do y'all upload this the minute I get into bed

Stephen Delong

Been replaying 3 and loving it. Would love to see Lupa or yall play on stream!

Lily Rose

yennefer storyline : way in the past. geralt storyline : in the past. ciri: present day. yennerfer storyline will eventually catch up to geralt and they will both eventually catch up to ciri. there are no flashbacks, just three storylines. this isn’t a spoiler, it’ll just better help you understand the story.

Tamales1612

I enjoyed the show so much more once I figured this out after the first 3/4 episodes. Rewatching it now I'm picking up on way more details that give you hints for the time of every storyline

Redd

Season 2 throws everything that the movie established out anyways. Good movie, but it doesn't actually matter for season 2 with how they contradicted all the info in the movie.

Wrëck

Yo lupa ima need dat song 💳💥 🪑💳💥🪑💳💥🪑💳💥🪑💳💥🪑

Solivigant Kaiba

13:45 Nope, they put them in rice. Maybe they'll turn on again.

Marcelo Lima

Yooo you should react to Kengan Ashura. Pure hands, martial arts and crazyness!!!

SomeStupidGoat

It isnt that bad, plus it still introduces you to a character in s2 beforehand which is cool and gives you background on an “event” that is mentioned several times in s2

SomeStupidGoat

also at the end of the day even if you ignore s2 as a whole the movie looks gorgeous and works as a stand alone feature

UI

yennefer is a quarter elf. her dad was half elf

ManicMeeks

Lupa with the Goofy scream LMAO! I am in tears...tears.

Smash Bran'Discootch

Lupa is over here remembering the Bloody Baron mission. But nah, it isn't a Botchling. A botchling is the OTHER aborted fetus monster. But it's a super easy mistake to make because WHY ARE THERE TWO ABORTED FETUS MONSTERS.

Jay CacBh

omg wow. i literally started playing the first game and the whole scene with the striga fight and the guy who cursed the queen is the opening cut scene of the game

Redd

Someone gotta inform Lupa that nothing story wise from the show has anything to do with Witcher 3

Yungoos

By the way the Woman that plays Yennefer , is casted to be Zatana in the new DC movie coming up

Ash

Let's go Yen! Fuck everybody else :)

Tyrese Marshall

Isn’t zatanna Italian tho. Correct me if I’m wrong but this actor is half Indian/English innit

Smash Bran'Discootch

Also....someone please tell Lupa that Axi is the mind control one, not telekinetic blast. Aard is the blast lol But i genuinely love it that he says it with such confidence.

Asellian

we eating good today bois

Teyon Alexander

Geralt always seems to end up fighting princesses lol

Yungoos

yes you are right , Zatana does have an Italian Father Zatara and yes she is Indian/English. Idk if DC just doesnt care about that and just focused on finding a good actress which thats fine. i can see her playing the role.

Youngmamba

Great reaction but nah bro they showed fultest and his sister just to help people understand the timeline not because yennefer had anything to do with what happened there lol. Also I'm happy you guy caught on so quickly there were people honestly didn't even catch the fultest as a kid hint, so yeah they are in different timeliness catching up to each other because sorceress don't age and witchers age just extremely slowly, like geralt is already at least 100+.

Jarelle Hamilton

Lupa: *plays through White Orchard in TW3* Lupa: I am now an expert in Witcher lore. JK lol. Loving the reactions to this show. A lot of stuck up book nerds hate the show because it isn't a one to one recreation of the books. I've read the books and I can appreciate the show for being a show based within the universe and trying to tell a new and refreshing story, while also semi-adapting some book events. It's what I usually prefer in adaptations of novels.

Ky Williams

yeahhh? callin dara onyonkapon😭

Teyon Alexander

Makes you wonder if Yenn had gone to Nilfgard, would things have gone differently? She may have been able to stop the expansion from even happening.

The Pebble

No Lupa, they are literally guarding an abandoned castle where a monster lives, the noise from Geralt throwing the rock scared them into thinking it was the monster and they ran. Dunno how you got confused by this and assumed they thought it was..the castle falling apart? That feels ridiculous just typing it lmao (also botchlings and strigas are two different things, they just both have something to do with a fetus.)

DatKid_Kaneki

this episode had me cringing so much, intense

Ryan Hill

Lupa constantly being hyped about things while being wrong is honestly kind of fun.

Cody Braim

I think Lupa would enjoy this more if he stopped trying to connect it to the game, they're unrelated and very different from one another

Darby

God damnit, the old greg comment sent me. Love the reaction as usual - you three always have me rollin' and you also all pay attention which is rare among reactors, it seems.

The Pebble

They're not unrelated. Lupa only played Witcher 3 which takes place way later in the timeline, this first season is a combination of a few Witcher books and I think the first game, but they are 100% related to the main story in the games.

Cody Braim

The games aren't canon. The first Witcher game is supposed to take place after the last book, but its just a re imagining that the author had no involvement in. The show is adapted from the books.

Jarelle Hamilton

They actually really aren't. Even the first Witcher game takes a few years after the last book in the series, so what happens here is pretty unrelated besides the characters, especially so considering that they are going a majorly different direction than the books in this show. Many would consider the games to be borderline fan fiction too.

Cody Braim

That's exactly what I'm saying, the games take place within the same fictional universe but they're not canon to the books. The books, games, and show all draw from the same source material but should be considered separate.

rickie woodson

this is the ep when i caught on to the different timelines. they referred to calanthe as princess and her father is ruling so this is waaaaaaaay before she was a grandma and seeing kid foltest was just the mega clue of all clues, a smoking gun in the hand of the shooter with ten million witnesses.

Asad Khabir

I highly doubt it. Tho it's a big spoiler. I can kind of explain if you have read the books and played the game

kurumi Tokisaki

i shouldn't have read your comment. You might not think its spoiler but you just ruined the whole mystery of the show for me.Ii hate you and I hope every show you watch in the future gets told to you so you can never enjoy any show, and you become so smart that you know everything and you start to think life is pointless because of this new found knowledge of yours.

rickie woodson

yen got that masala photoshop glowup.

Darksteel78

They're separate in terms of story line, but the creature lore is shared. Take a look at The Witcher 1's intro and compare it to this episode.

Challis H

You mean cause he said Yen didn't have anything to do with the curse? Or do you mean the timeline stuff. Cause dang man, that was filled with hate lol.

Jay Voorhees

Lupa hurting my brain🤣🤣

Nana

I hate when people try to say ‘book nerds’ are angry cause it isn’t a one to one adaptation. Like come on you know that isn’t true. Obviously with any adaptation to a different medium there will be changes but a lot of the changes made in this series were simply not good writing for some and that’s just how it is.

Jay Voorhees

Lupa with this “game knowledge” don’t even know what Axii is🤣 funny asf tho so it’s w.e🤷🏾‍♂️

jordansamuel

Man i’m in love with triss merigold

gino sciabarrasi

that juicy punch line what golden for me also the broach that geralt gave to that kind was renfri's broach unless my glasses have failed me and im really blind

Youngmamba

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 damn bro my bad I just didn't want them to get clapped in the comments for reaching, also im assuming your talking about the yen stuff. Now can you please release the curse you put on me 🤣🤣

Jordan

I decided to stay away from the games until I finish the books and Lupa makes me happy I made that decision. Once I saw how confused he was when he learned the hunchback is Yennefer, I knew he don’t know shit lmao

WindTurningLeaf

Ok, quick overview of the timeline so far: Yennefer at Aretuza and Geralt in Blaviken with Renfri happens at about the same time. This is the earliest point we have, "point 0". Sometime after that, Geralt meets Jaskier the bard, and songs about him start spreading. At some point between then and Ciri's story, the elves try to rise up and fight to gain rights and gain land of their own. They are killed in large numbers. 30-40 years after point 0, we have Geralt and the striga in Temeria. 30-50 years after point 0, we have Ciri in Cintra with her grandmother Calanthe, and Nilfgard's invasion of Cintra. This also means that Geralt has had that whole "the girl in the woods" prophecy thing in the back of his head for about 50 years now.

Connor Sievers

I love how Lupa is just shouting "AXII" everytime Geralt uses one of his signs xD The signs he used up till this point are Aard which is the force push we have seen a couple of times and the one that seals the crypt and the coffin, which is debated to be Yrden (basicaly a magical trap) but I think it would be more likely that it was Quen or Vorg which are both barrier-signs. Geralt also tried to use Axii on Renfri in the first episode to calm her down but that didnt work on her.

baja

I still cant get over the fact how pretty ciri is. She looks like a doll man Wtf That sorceress as well Where do they find these people

Asante Upshur-Benson

I know it’s a long game but surprised he didn’t remember the striga since that’s one of the first monsters you kill in Witcher 3

chase salii

Lupa San it's arrd that's the shock wave axii be the mind control stuff

joshua rosario

im going to honest NEVER look at the intru sigil cuz that shit is always spoilers 24/7 everytime i watch i guess perfertly the problem cause of the sigil and ive only played/know of the Witcher 3

Izaya

Damn, Lupa call everything Axi, even stuff that is not witcher signs lol

Anonymous

You would've been fine even tho you made the right decision (the games aren't canon, but they spoil events from the books since they're happening after them). Lupa just misses stuff easily. Lol

brandon rawlerson

Marketing brilliant moment for ya, You should include 1 teaser episode from the 5$ tier content to funnel 1$ patrons over to the 5$ tier. This is a common marketing technique for larger business models that should work for you too. P.s keep up the great content!

Anas Ghadfi

my mans said what happened to onyakopon im sleep

Yanpo

A point that I believe the show has already explained, if not at least demonstrated during episode 2. All Mages use Elder speak (language of the elves) for all spells and incantations.

German

Istredd said something to Yen in the last episode about the Elf teaching humans to control chaos. And every time they cast a spell they speak in elven language, spells and curses can be casted in Elven language as well.

Tim Chaos

Ahh, the comment section + gatekeeping Lupa… name a more iconic duo, I’ll wait 😏 Really though if it isn’t people getting mad at Lupa for what he doesn’t know in the dc shows, they’re getting mad at him for what he does know in this one 🤪

Yanpo

Season 1 really is so much better once you understand what's going on. Disjointed story telling can be a fun puzzle to solve, but the problem with season 1 of The Witcher is that the given puzzle pieces themselves are difficult to recognize as puzzle pieces since they are sprinkled across the background of important scenes and within lore dumps. It's a little bit easier for those of us that already had some experience with the franchise, be it with the games or the books.

jogurtowski

it was in Elven because all magic is in Elven

Foxyguava

Did Lupa really say "Silver Brass Knuckles"? Bruh. lmao... would you say Aluminum cast iron pan? No. You would just say aluminum pan haha.

Gameguy1128

that's actually a joke that the developer of the witcher games made. The studio that made the witcher games also made Cyberpunk 2077, and there is a porn magazine in it called Milfgaard, spelled just like Nilfgaard.

Lupa is Dadi

when y'all upload this to YouTube make sure to cut lupas "axii" parts out, it wasn't as bad here but the YouTube tryhards are all going to be like "actually it's 🤓" and flame him 😭 it's clear that he knows what sign geralts using but he gets them confused, which is what I love about him! it shows that he has enough knowledge to know what's happening but not enough to spoil himself on this show ❤️ keep it up y'all but don't overwork yourself!!

Thomas_Stilinski

so has lupa played thee main game i remember him saying he only played gwent

These Plums

Lupa, relax. You played a few hours of the game years ago. They called it a Striga and you still don't know the name.

Thomas_Stilinski

Yeah ik but it also has it's own full game and with the way he worded it originally it sounded like he's only played that

Steven H.

I think i remember him saying that he played a lil of actual game

Steven H.

LMFAO Roshi did NOT just call him Onyankapon 🤣

samantha christie

this is random and has nothing to do with the episode but when y'all press play on their videos does it make anyone elses screen go blank?

Ayla

Yeah that happens to me to. It always goes blank the first time and then when I refresh it the second time it works

slipHAZARD

Happens to me all the time as well. I notice it only does it when they use the Patreon player. Even other creators I support the only time I noticed it is with the Patreon player.

Astor Lefflinker

FYI there's a Witcher 1 (video game) cinematic of the strigga fight and its pretty dope just like this one, its on youtube. Makes me sad that most people only played Witcher 3 and completely ignored 1 and 2 which are masterpieces too. I hope this channel also reacts to the Witcher 3 cinematic trailers like "A Night to Remember", those were epic too.

Benji Schulman

Bruh everytime Lupa says Axii when he means Aard, I fucking can't... Shit's too funny

Drake Rage

It's funny because many times it has been that when Lupa says something, the more confidently he says it, the more likely it is that he was totally wrong, lol.
