so the whole monolith thing happened in season 1 episode one. when ciri was running away from cahir in the ending before the credits and she made that giant black thing (the monolith) collapse and split the earth. i think they explain next episode what they were created for but yeah lupa and sheera are on the right track. they are like wards of some kind

Like, she loses her powers, then does some fucked up shit that goes against her development in season 1. Then this season kinda just ends, and it doesn't amount to much, everyone forgives her and then she doesn't seem to learn or grow from losing them? Idk, it def would've been a good concept to explore had they spent more time on it but compare end of S1 to end of S2 and its the exact same character lol.

Hell even Geralt prolly couldn't truly save the dude, since killing something like that in its native terrain (i.e underwater) is really time-consuming (it's hard af to fight underwater as is as a non-aquatic lifeform, vs an aquatic lifeform, even w/ mutagens etc), and the elf might have pepsi'd while Geralt was trying to fight said octopus anyway, given it has many limbs etc, it can fuck up Geralt & kill the elf w/ 1-2 tentacles at the same time

Youngmamba all ethnicity or races and skin colors were once slaves or slave owners or handlers. Why is holding onto hatred so important to you? If it happened to YOU, specifically YOU. I get it. @KiliSloe this is true, I didn't say say otherwise so not sure how its a correction, but it's also true slavery was also practiced differently in most African Kingdoms. Slaves could earn there freedom in multiple ways and weren't treated as property.
