Japanese roasted sweet potatoes are amazing. They're a lot sweeter than the ones found in the US. When cooked they caramelise and ooze out some of the sugars. The inside texture is almost fluffy. I highly recommend trying them if you ever get the chance!

Just a movie suggestion: Saint Young Men. It's a wholesome little anime movie about Jesus and Buddha having a little vacation in Japan for a while with some shenanigans going on while also trying to keep their obvious identities on the downlow. Real cute movie. Hopefully people been pushing for classic anime movie gems like Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Paprika and Tokyo Godfathers.

Nah, they live fairly close. The "in your area" was referring to a power outage, not the storm. Power outages, at least in my experience can be extremely localized. I live in a very small town, and my power could be out, but a few blocks away it could still be on for my neighbors.
