So....is Shin everywhere at one time? his past and present actions seem to affect the events. The timeline doesnt seem to be really changing, just others noticed his presence at different times each time he resets

Idek how this shit works fam, I'm just here for the ride

SuperflyAlex

It’s has to be his clone that did it the first time

Jason Etuz

Do an UNCHARTED Reaction!!

Joshua Burns

Yo Lupa I’m disappointed you still haven’t sang 🎼summer summer summer time🎼 for the opening 😔

Jalen Perry

Yeah Shins changing his actions, like talking to the officer on the night he would’ve come across shadow mio and recording shadow mio to show to his two friends—those moves caused the past loops to be null and allows new events to occur in his present timeline good or bad (I won’t spoil lol)

Jazmyne Mattucci

God next episode bout to be fucking nuts bro. After what i read, no spoilers but we finna get into some wild shit

Lola

Damn what did the writer smoked to make this show lol Also, when you will have a few spot, you should check out Magi and Steins Gates or even Saiki K as a duo reaction!

HgAlice

Im pretty sure he was already copied in the first 2 episode since you pointed it out both in last episode and this one (from the anime explanation) that he was already copied during the Funeral the 0th and 1st Loop, so it would make sense it was his shadow moving about rather than him, it's just that this time, he wasn't copied during the funeral but when he went to the Kobayashi family. You were probably confusing certain events in certain loops.

DaeShawn

Next episode finna be wild just to let y'all know

Jamie

So... anyone else down to vouch for "Ya Boy Kongming"? Underdog show this season alongside this one :)

Uglygod

So basically when Shin remembered the innkeeper had mentioned he remembers shin asking around for the lady in the first two loops. It wasn’t actually Shin asking it was a shadow. The flash of light that happens at the funeral is when he gets copied and that’s when he realizes he’s always been affected by the shadow sickness from the start of his loops. He infers from all his experience from his past loop.

WeavyBoo

Ya Boy Kong Ming Reaction!

Mari

I really don’t know wtf is going on but I’m enjoying the show though 😂

Lash

by the way i don't think the cop's a shadow since Shin had called him and made the false report. if he is then he got killed at a different time since he didn't show up on the recording of Mio's shadow that shin took during the night.

Uglygod

Yeah to go into any more details on how the shadows work would be spoilers which should get addressed in a couple of episodes so it shouldn’t leave you too confused for now.

Ara Araragi

They also made a point of showing that he still had his gun, which he gave to the Mio shadow in the last loop. Plus it sounds like he called for a detective from the mainland to come help with the investigation, and I don't think the shadows want more people poking around right now. But I could be dead wrong.

Ara Araragi

There's probably something more to the "astral projection" of Shinpei, but it might just be representative of his inner thoughts. The first time they showed it was after he got slapped by the woman on the boat, and Mio commented once that Shinpei was known for "taking a step back" to stop and think about the bigger picture.

Mad4Life

Shadow Realm > Phantom Zone >>>>>> The Friend Zone

Kami_Psy

I'm pretty sure the cop is not a shadow in this loop. He was a shadow in the 2nd loop but Shin called him this time to send him to an entirely different location to avoid that from happening. So unless he somehow got killed some other way off-screen, he should be good.

Redu

This is totally reminding me of some old school visual novel games with time travel. Gotta remember all paths and check out different options

Jarren Jenkins

The cop is not a shadow, remember Shin gave him a fake tip about a fight the night he was going to bump into Mio, saving him from becoming a shadow. Since we don't see him die, you can't assume he's a shadow because the anime would need to show that happening to avoid that confusion.

Jarren Jenkins

Nah they clearly don't want to get caught, that's why Mio's shadow kills Shin instantly once it finds him out.

Liudmila Duk

day 7 saying that the trio react to kanata no astra

Ethan

So, it looks like to avoid character deaths/more shadows each loop, Shin needs to do a couple things. -Make sure Mio doesn't hurt herself on the bike -Ditch the funeral and don't get copied > less shadows hunting for information posing as him -Tell Sou to not call him each night > So he doesn't get stabbed/phone discovered -File a false report for the cop > Keeps him alive and shadow mio from having a gun, and get Ushios phone -Record shadow mio > So he has definitive proof and a real ally who knows not to put themselves in danger -Go to the missing parents house while the recording is happening > saves the parents during dinner and Shiomi (middle aged lady) doesn't die the next morning. I assumed that happened the first loop. -Somehow save the agent lady since she knows stuff early morning. I lowkey think Sou died between days. He says he wants to check something out, then next day immediately says it was nothing and to forget it. Sounds sus to me, like he was suspecting a shadow and got clapped.

zILovePelmeni _

its really not that deep when you see him observing himself likehe did in the living room. Its going to be explained in a couple of episodes, im trynna save u from clapping urselfs haha

不死鳥

About his "astral projection", this is the opinion of someone who knows japanese but hasn't read the manga, he says to do something called "fukan" which is to observe something from above, which was translated into english as smth like "take a step back", and I believe the visuals we see there are just a visual metaphor for his way of trying to calm down and think through things from a rational, "overlooking" perspective

Subaru vs Shin

Why example if it’s going to be explained in the later episodes. Delete comment

Whamz Rose

I knew it was Tanjiros voice actor 😈

Stephen Choi

The cop in this episode is real, but looking back the cop in episode 1 i think was a shadow, and 2 we know he died. The cop in episode 1 didnt give him the phone or mentioned it when he went to the diner, but this episode he did. IDK if shadows gain their memories when they kill the original but thats just my thoughts

baja

And This is only 3 days in, the list is already that packed. I cant even imagine the what he have to do in the future, not to mention we dont know how quickly this spread. We dont even know if this is the right path. He mihmght need to do something drastic at the begining evn

Thamor

He was killed already twice brutally and then just when he could get answers he just runs to the darkness and I am pretty certain this is a death scene in start of next episode.

Thamor

You could call it watching it from 3rd person perspective, like in games you see a lot more around you with camera panned to back of a character than you would ever see in viewpoint from eyes only.

Drake Rage

Yeah it was very sus when Sou said "it was nothing"... that is definitely something a Shadow would have said, just to downplay the importance of whatever Sou was trying to check out.

Drake Rage

They showed us the cop finding Shadow-Mio in episode 1 (Loop 1), and then they showed what happened in the 2nd Loop that Shadow-Mio kills the Cop and copies him. So yeah the Cop had to have been a Shadow the first time too (Loop 1). (Mio shoots them all with the Cop's gun in Loop 1, which was revealed to us in Loop 2, we see that Shadow-Cop gives his gun Shadow-Mio, to kill Mio) So now, in Loop 3, Shin tried to save the Cop which seems to have been successful. I think Sou was real when they all talked, but I think he was already replaced by Shadow-Sou when they met for the Festival. (Since Sou had said he was going to check something out before the Festival, but at the Festival he says it was not important, very suspicious.) Also, I am pretty sure Shadow-Cop took Cop's memories in Loop 2, so the "code words" that Shin, Sou, and Mio came up with (to ensure they are not Shadows) are meaningless.

Erica Collins

Yeah the cop in this episode is the real one. The problem is tho, even if we can confirm that someone is real anything can happen between the time they're not with Shin where they could turn into a shadow. And that's where trust issues come in lmao if we can't differentiate between the original or a shadow, just because we can confirm someone is real in a certain moment doesn't mean later they're still the real one & that sucks 😭😭 Someone in the comments mentioned that in the beginning of the episode Sou could've been the original but ya know how he went to go look into something on his own & when Shin asked about it Sou was like "forget about it"? Well maybe what he was looking into caused him to die & the Sou in his room was a shadow. That's just a theory but it is weird that he would just be like forget about it. Also if that is the case then the whole code thing is useless since shadows can retain the original's memories & personality

Drake Rage

The Cop had to have been a Shadow the first time too (Loop 1). (Mio shoots them all with the Cop's gun in Loop 1, in Loop 2 it was revealed to us that Shadow-Cop gives his gun to Shadow-Mio, to kill Mio.) So now, in Loop 3, Shin tried to save the Cop which seems to have been successful. Also, I am pretty sure Shadow-Cop took Cop's memories in Loop 2, so the "code words" that Shin, Sou, and Mio came up with (to ensure they are not Shadows) are meaningless. I think the Detective Lady is the Key to figure out a lot more about this mystery. She probably knows how to tell if someone is a Shadow since she already knew Shiori (the little girl) was a Shadow when they were going to Ushio's funeral.

Erica Collins

This show makes my brain hurt lmao 😭😭

Erica Collins

Ooooh good point about the detective bc how did she know that the little girl was a shadow??? 🤔

Ethan

Oh yeah, the entire code thing is completely useless, they definitely have their memories. Remember the shadow cop immediately started reciting the real cop's memories, information and imitated his personality. Plus, they mentioned that Ushio loved the fireworks, lo and behold her shadow is watching the fireworks.

Ethan

Yeah, I'm guessing what Sou was investigating had to do with either his dad's clinic, or the pink haired girl who's friends with them. I'm betting one of the two killed him between days if he did die. It would be the only ppl we know of he could talk to/meet late at night.

rickie woodson

what the grudge is going on with this creepy little girl enshrouded in shadow

Mr. Glasses

It's been a while since a show/movie legitimately creeped me out, but this one did it.

rickie woodson

power surge just as it was getting good! come on fpl!

Ohais

I legit have to save these reactions for when it's daytime for me lol. There's no way I'm watching these before sleep

Dréa

I cannot watch keep watching this show before bed 🤣 I'm also at the point where I'm just here for the ride. Theories change every 5 minutes lol

Didier

The worst part about having to meet somewhere at 5AM is that depending on your location you may have to wake up at around 3:30AM (time to wash, to prepare, to travel, etc).

Onyekachi Nkenke

going of sheera's point of the flash being related to the eye, remember at the funeral when the flash happened someone was like please no pictures, so that means other people can see the flash as well. But you could be right tho

Onyekachi Nkenke

and i know why rendering is in the name. So from what I took the shadows practically flash people like a camera, and instead of rendering the picture as a photo, it renders it as a person. So, Summertime Rendering makes sense now as a name

A1_MiLFshAkE

This show lowkey might be one of the best this season fr with spyxfamily & Kaguya. Reminding me of Re:zero with its mystery as well looking forward to the next episode :)

ZX_45

So this is a wild guess, I haven't seen this anime but the shadows might be mirrored when ever they copy some one it sounds like a camera , and when ever a picture is taken the image is inverted. So may be they do certain actions inverted like when Mio brushes her hair behind her ear they do the opposite side.

Jay

idk why but this show creeps me out. makes me nervous and scared LOL

Fooni

I dont think its muliple Shins running around the island. Those moments you see him calling back to are just from the past 2 “attempts” on the island before he got reset

Marko

Roshi stayed clapping himself this episode LMAO

earthphoenix7068

How do you explain the first attempt where the guy saw Shinpei without him remembering though hmm

Ranginald Vagel

Familyzoned is beyond friendzoned, need to do something serious to get outta there

Trell

Bruh is that a sink literally connected to the toilet or am I tripping?

Infinity

not sure if you noticed but he totally has her eye. His off color eye matches hers.

Chaolao

7 months late but yes, yah should check it out. It actually doesn't waste water.
