overall we like how it ended! Definitely fit the theme of their character arcs from the beginning the way things played out for everyone

Ending felt extremely rushed in my opinion. Certain plot points like the random car crash and Wendy checking herself into a wellness center just felt out of place. Also thought Marty as a character didn't get to have a strong finish either. Still enjoyed the show though!

Honestly I don't really know what to feel about that finale. Would've definitely liked a more concrete ending and less of a soprano like one. But overall this was for sure one of the better shows Netflix has had to offer, I'd probably give it a 8.5 or 9 out of 10. RIP RUTH

Y'all (at least Sheera) feel so much empathy for Wendy, but I'm just sitting here rolling my eyes every time she gets emotional. She's way to conniving and manipulative for me to believe anything she says. Even in the conversation with her kids, it still felt like she was just looking for sympathy from them.

I wanted two people to make it out alive: Marty and Ruth (RIP). I can't stand Wendy at all and the kids are ungrateful weirdos. Hate to see Ruth go out like that, but this essentially became: Marty the breaking bad story lol. Y'all see the smile he had in the end as Jonah was going to shoot the PI?

This ending was terrible. Ruth deserved better despite what the actress who played her says. The Byrds getting away essentially Unscathed is also not satisfying.

Dead ass. I can't stand Wendy. She's most of the reason for half the shit in this show. I don't think she is worse than her dad but she does not need her kids, and I don't feel any pity for her.

i enjoyed this season, but i did not like this ending. it didn’t seem like a season finale, and marty standing there menacingly at the end smiling only proves everything ruth said about him “pretending to care”. the byrdes are not good people. this is how it should’ve ended ~ wendy should’ve died in the car crash, and because of wendys death - marty struggles to hold everything together without her, eventually leading to him being killed by the cartel or arrested - jonah and charlotte go into witness protection - ruth comes out triumphant.

great one to watch next is snowfall . breaking bad level of acting , crazy character progression, inspired by real events . main protagonist actor is often compared to denzel washington . dont sleep on the show its on disney + . show is like crack no pun intended

I didn't really like the ending of this show, the only way I even found out it had ended was that Netflix tried to autoplay some show about the stars saying goodbye to Ozark. It felt like a good season ending but not a series finale.

it’s not soap opera at all, it’s actually fckn bleak if done right. the family we been following for 4 seasons wanting to be free, meet a tragic end. ruths entire lineage was killed off it would’ve been bitter sweet to see her survive in the end.

Yeah, all I can say is I'm glad you didnt write the ending. You can absolutely dislike what happened, but any sentence that starts with "this is how it should have ended" I am very unlikely to take seriously. Especially from someone who has, without a doubt, never written a screenplay.

I honestly wanted this to end with a "you don't get to win" situation. Seeing the Byrde's get off like that was kind of underwhelming. Also, while I'm a fan of Ruth, obviously she was going to get killed. She was getting way too cocky and honestly wasn't smart enough to be able to get out of situations the same way the Byrde's do. Poor Three... 😫 The Langmoore curse is alive and well
