I can tell the mangaka was a fan of D. Gray Man lol

Fun fact: The author of Vanitas also wrote an earlier manga, Padora Hearts. In one of the final volumes, there is an image where the main characters of Pandora Hearts cross paths with Vanitas and Noe, signaling a narrative passing of the torch.

I haven't read Pandora yet (it's on my list!), but I've seen a lot of illustrations of it, and her art is absolutely gorgeous, as is her Vanitas art. Definitely a must-see for anyone interested in traditional art.

Noe's new motivation to watch over Vanitas and his path does make the subject of the name of the series "Case Study" of Vanitas have more perspective. But also doesn't bold well when as was stated at the beginning he will end up killing him, it's a thing to keep in mind as this is all his recollection of events.

I watched this as it came out and still haven't figured out Vanitas true motivations

Devin B

When Noe first met Vanitas he probably thought that he could fix everything wrong with curse bearers but he had to learn the hard way that not even Vanitas can save everyone. What Vanitas did to the little girl was a form of salvation but not the one Noe had in mind.

So for some reason, Videos are not showing up from my Laptop. My phone is fine, is just i'm not seeing any thumbnails popping up on here. Is there a solution by chance? I refreshed it too many times and still didn't work smh

Now that you mention it the big ass claw gauntlet stands out to me. Like yea Allen Walker???

wavyesper

Vanitas's smirk at the end kinda made me feel gay

Ruthven's character design is so epic. Also he shares the same VA as Kira Yoshikage from JJBA, and Paul Greyrat from Mushoku Tensei.

Ped

Ruthven's black flames remind me more design-wise of Benimaru from Slime's, since Amaterasu is pretty pitch black while this and Beni's are more of a... light black? Idk how to describe the color.

KiliSloe

Hope they react to Magi someday.

Bossman15blaze

I believe that vanitas motivation is save them because he hates the blue moon vampire the og vanitas. The first blue moon vampire wants to eradicate the red moon vampires and out of hate our vanitas wants to save them from charlatan who I believe is vanitas husk or body. His soul and power is probably in our vanitas which is why he can use the book.

Jah

Hope you feel better🙏🏾
