To be fair. Vanitas and Noe knew Ronald was a problem, so it isn't falling for his trap as much as trying to brainstorm a way out without looking suspicious. They were caught lacking because they weren't thinking about Ronald's actions as much as how to get out of their situation.

I highly recommend you watch Bleach, to prepare for the last arc that will be animated on October 2022. It is bound to be one of the best of the season. I believe that because it is the final arc (most amazing one btw) and conclusion to one of THE BIG 3. (One piece, Naruto, Bleach). Please like this comment so they consider it.

Vanitas was born a human but got some powers from the original Vanitas. Dante and the other two had a vampire and human for parents which is why they're dhampirs.

he didnt want him to go because he didn't want Noe to learn about his past. Its not like they really friends or anything. Vanitas is extremely private and basically a loner. He doesn't like or want connections with others and especially doesn't want people peeping into his past. Thought that was made super obvious at this point lol. Also Noe is just a normal vampire lmao what sheera on about. His lineages special power is to see memories in blood but otherwise he's got all the same strengths and weaknesses of other vampires in fact most of the other big wig vamps you've seen so far would clap him instantly in a fight so he's not even that strong.

Oh boi... Things are about to get CRAZY from now on!!! Also, that "surf board" comparison can't be unseen now! About Vanitas and Noé, I'd say they're not really friends yet, and Vanitas is more pushing him away because he doesn't want him to find out stuff about him, etc., but there's also a bit of that tsundere "we're not friends, but I'll tolerate you by my side anyway" thing going on already. I just love the dynamic between these two, it's so much fun to watch.

This show also does a lot of Pandora Hearts references since it's by the same author. Like with the fake names 'Vincent' and 'Gilbert' that Vanitas gave on the spot are the names of two major characters in PH. It's also funny because the personalities of both are almost EXACTLY the same, but it's not that noticeable until a bit later

Its not that Vanitas and Noe fell for the trap. Its more of the fact that Roland was a freaking Paladin and the two of them could do literally nothing to him. So they just had to hope and pray that Roland was actually telling the truth or didnt know who they really were.
