Nah he did call One Piece mid... and it is mid... slowest pacing in the industry. You have to sit through 50+ terrible episodes for every 1 gem of an episode. Shit needs to go seasonal. Look at the horrible animation in the last episode with CGI kaido... ugh

I kinda agree the manga is good but the studio has the same as misfit and the animation was really the only good thing it was rushed but shins relationship with Sicily was entertaining but the anime felt slice of life tho the animation made up for it and shin bodying 2 enemies in the fights

Well no, there is story in this anime but it isn't centered around Anos. It's about the world that Anos lives in. There is a great video by Mother's Basement on YouTube that talks about this. Anos is just a vehicle for us, the viewer, to experience the world. All it's intricacies about class and social divide as well as world building elements such as the story behind the two half's of the shell. And using the Iris spell, which is used to build their demon king castles, to build small intricate models. Not all stories are about the MC winning or losing, some are just experiences to show interesting worlds and develop interesting characters. Or tackle material in our world through a different lens. Like with the politcal/class details in that we had over the show.

"Light" in light novel has nothing to do with story quality. It refers to the quantity of the story(being smaller more digestible volumes) and their use of modern kanji which has simpler words to read. Get your head out of your ass, dude. Lol

But yeah, I love Sengoku Basara myself. I love the characters and how they portrayed famous figures from the Sengoku Period. they used the bloom/weed shit to set up the mc as an underdog but we already know hes not one since the first scene of the show involves him causing a giant explosion. the first thing we find out about the mc is that hes overpowered. then the bloom/weed shit tries to make it out as if hes an underdog. then the 1st arc which was all about the bloom/weed shit ends when it turns out mibu was beinf manipulated into thinking she was discriminated against, after that it only serves the purpose of making the characters in the show think the mc isnt op.
