It's understandable that Harley is this extra cause her relationship with the Joker was just her doing whatever he wanted and it just so happened that she wanted to do the same things too. She's learning that she can't always do the same things as her partner but it's gonna take time for her to adjust to a normal relationship.

Their relationship didn't start like that because of Kite Man in the comics. In fact, other than this show, Ivy never dated Kite Man. But they're actually pretty wholesome in the comics, it's just the show's portrayal is different because it's just starting out and Harley still doesn't exactly know what a healthy relationship looks like

She's literally doing the same thing to Ivy what she did to Joker, with the difference that Ivy isn't abusive, so she's not taking advantage of Harley's obsessive behavior to use her for her own ends. I like both characters, but I've never liked Harley for Ivy for this and other reasons. I'm assuming, and hoping that they'll explore this, and Harley will grow from the experience into a less toxic partner.

I get why Harley is being so obnoxious here. She was in a horrible relationship, went on a mad journey of her feelings for Ivy and now she's in her first actual loving relationship that she clearly doesn't wanna screw up. She's forcing herself to like what Ivy likes which is pretty unhealthy but that's on brand with Harley in this particular show, despite having a PHD in psychology. I'm excited to see how they'll pan out this drama. I do like that both Ivy and Harley are being forward to eachother. Ivy saw the signs of Harley's boredom and flat out said they don't need to do everything together and Harley is showing her commitment ( too much ), admitted her faults on getting the Sanctuary destroyed and what's most important is she's giving Ivy confidence in an old plan she lost faith in and she wants to do bigger things to make it happen. Just gotta see how they deal with this in the long run since they're still new.

Thing is though there's atleast some benefits. Never a boring day, plus Harley just gave Ivy confidence in something she lost faith in and is committed to follow despite it being unhealthy for herself and her brand of chaos. Just gotta see how they'll grow and hope for the best.

I said it before in season 2 and i'll say it again here. Harley Quinn should really just focus on the comedy. They are soooo fucking bad at doing romance and drama

giving this a second watch but im not feeling this season. trailer didnt do anything for me and this ep couldnt keep my attention. this new dynamic (no psycho or kite man; harley with ivy) just isnt working for me. in all honesty its been going down in quality with each season for me. LOVE season one, 10/10. season 2 was an 8/10 for me. the joy and excitement and energy that was in season one just wasnt hitting it in season 2 though it definitely has some great moments and episodes (really loved all the "normal" joker stuff but that was like two or three eps then he was back to being a clown). can only hope it comes up from here but from trailer it seems like its just going to be a guess who scooby doo situation "ooh look at this quest star! i love them not the episode!" or "this episode is focused on this guest star and i dont like him/her soooooo....meh"

Honestly, if harley could just find a way to go fuck off and do her own thing every once in a while in a cathartic way, shit would actually be pretty ideal for them both from my pov. Get's some time alone with her plants to, her GF is happy doing her own thing and then when they are togeather they are both in the "its nice to see you again" mode.
