i think in this case its a bit of both sides. Seri was leading him on (ofc its a habit of being a vampire) and he became insecure to the point where it drove him crazy. good thing our boi Ko was there to save the mess

Honestly I think offspring was the better choice, it's more accurate to what's happening. Offspring evokes more of the "making you a vampire" motif, where if it was servant it'd be more like "creating a minion" not even necessarily a vampire but something more subservient.

The reason Ko was saying he was being reasonable and she hard to deal with is because she was trying to run away. She did lead him on and act in a way to make him fall in love with her, but really the issue is her not taking responsibility. She didn't want to accept his love and make him her offspring because she was attached to him as a friend. However, she also didn't want to actually turn him down, it's probably not something she's ever done and not least to someone she cared about. So she ignored and distanced from him, then when that wasn't an option she was just going to kill him. Meanwhile he at least was able to recognize his side of the problem and admit to it.

the purpose of him turning was that they can stay friends. He loves her but knows she dont and hes okay with that.

Well, that's actually very realistic that he's like that. It's very easy to see somebody else's problems from a level-headed perspective and apply a solution to it, while on the other hand it's one of the hardest things for us to do as a species to look inwardly at ourselves and our problems and be able to tackle them like we can for others. It's just something with how we're wired.

No not really, that's kinda the point of making a minion, you don't have to remove the vampire connotations from the word minion it still fits way better then offspring

That's the point though, you're not gonna have sex with your offspring and if the bloodsucking is correlated with sexual act then yea servant makes way more sense
