S tier season

Hot D, Golden Kamuy, and She Hulk also coming today!

Comments

OrganizingBee

at this point they've met up with the next white whistle (who's a baddie with character design as good as bondrewd) and made a lot of progress going down the 6th layer. And we got some interesting side story about some shenanigans going on that's prolly related to the 2k years thing

Antionette.SP

Theory: Each member represents an aspect Shii- Reg ( A being whose very core was the desire to find their "Haku" and understand it ) Kuu- Nanachi ( A being whose very life is reinforced by the wish/sacrifice of another ) Gutsu- Prushka ( A being who literally became a pure crystallization of a desire/wish to adventure ) Mei- Faputa (A being of chaos who through the help of others found liberation of a wish and extraordinary value ) Haku- Riko ( A being who against all odds, can manifest their wish )

Novac_Isefitch

Amazing reaction as always this anime gets a 10/10 for me. The only gripe i have with season 2 is how they did Vueko, so dang sad bru her story.. but ahhh The music was so good as usual ~ Love this anime well done~

OrganizingBee

There is one account from the 7th layer from 250 years ago and it was so batshit insane they turned it into a nursery rhyme/fairy tale. The most recent chapter went over it

OrganizingBee

It's the only part of this show that the dub doesn't do as amazingly well. Everything else feels perfect, it's just the screaming here ending s2 isn't so guttural

Yamahai

I haven’t seen it yet but I think ik what you’re talking about. Is it in the book nanachi reads to mitty in season 1?

Jacob

its coming out late 2024- early 2025!

Hollow

Pfft Only you guys would be cracking up laughing after this season. Great show, great reactions.

Lil_jupiter

fucking cried for the last 3 episodes one of the only animes to get me like that

SoggySoup

I straight up didn’t even realize this episode was 40min long and I watched it a few days ago lmao

Pimmelwarze

If the author wasnt a pedophile that show would be one of the greats

Pimmelwarze

I mean I havent seen anything indicating an 8th layer but well it makes sense to not know it sfter the 6th layer people dont return sonof course they wouldnt know if there is anything beyond that

KaladinStormLight

its amazing how they complexly misunderstood so much of this series until like episode 10 they had no idea going up was bad and thought going down was bad stunning and then Roshi completely misunderstanding the conversation at the start of episode 6 thinks its Lyza something about watching the team Riko. Then completely forgetting names in season 2 so they had no idea who the main characters were speaking 2 buh thank god Lupa was here to react he made it watchable

GojosHoho

Well that was traumatizing 😭😭

NeTro Rayan

Here, rewatching for the third time. Still Great even with the horrific events.

Tay

2025 and still hoping for a season 3 release 🙏

Anarchy

Well it has been announced that instead of a season 3. It’ll be movies.

Anarchy

Well yeah it’s been years since they last watched it. Of course they couldn’t remember everything. And of course they didn’t understand everything

Anarchy

Okay. Nanchi makes sense since they literally keep repeating how nice she smells. But did they really have to say it for Faputa like that, like bro what

Vinne

Damn at least it'll catch people up

Student Loans

Manga reader here. It's still gonna take a while for a Season 3 to happen. Luckily, we are getting a new movie that continues the story in 2026! There's not that much material, so I assume we'll get a lot of anime exclusive additions.

KalGaming

Movie confirmed, October 23 2026 (Friday) ( you probably already know this but thought of mentioning it ) Can't wait for the movie, and your reaction guys

Generic

That's the Japanese theater release date, international streaming is probably gonna come a while after that sadly

LordTouchMe

"Hot D" made me wonder what the hell I had missed until I realized it was weirdly spaced abbreviation of "House of the Dragon"...

DT Mik

damn cant wait for that hot D lmao

FBGChiChi

Hot D I’m intrigued

Nish

Been waiting all day for some Hot D from Roshi 🙏🏻👑

Mauze

Am I the only one that thought Highschool of the Dead and not House of the Dragon

Seibahhh

sad part is manga is only 4 chapters ahead and that means season 3 or sequel in probably 6 to 8 years since the author is releasing only 4 to 6 chapters a year

L.C.

My number 1 series of the year so far. Literally a masterpiece of a season.

Devin B

Nah same here. I keep thinking the same thing.

James

They fucked around and caught up to the manga so now we gotta wait a long time again 😭

Adrian Monroy

Another day without Edgerunners :(

Lock in

Yeah this and Summertime render have been peak anime for me rn

L.C.

Yes she joined the squad. Her saying "I will think about it" is her sassy way of saying yes

Tyler

Glad to see appreciation for the OST since it is very unique and fits so well. Kevin Perkin is responsible and he has also done the music for Tower of God which I also think was amazing.

Dantene

So glad this show has been adapted so exceptionally! Can't wait for what Akihito Tsukushi has in store over the next 3-4 years for the gang.

P J

And now we have to wait another five years for season 3 because the manga is barely past this point in the story, feels bad man.

SWAGxMAGICIAN

This and Kaguya are the best this year

Yamahai

We don’t know if the 7th layer is the bottom, the 6th layer is just the only layer we have any info on. The 7th layer and below is completely unknown. Also, to put it into perspective, this entire arc takes place near the entrance of the 6th layer, we’ve barely explored the 6th layer.

Joshua Burns

She was born from a relic essentially so she might just be one now

Kaitsu Tokiyas

this season is literally gold one ! they put everything great on this season. great animation, great voice actor, great music , great writer so the pace of this anime is feels so good ! when I read the manga I really confuse what is happens... when I see the anime version, its all clear what was that, and the feeling on every character. and Im really glad everyone get nice development riko is not useless anymore, he can be more dependable leader . and that OST , me too I need to buy that album , kevin penkin do really great job ! I cant wait for next season of this anime,

ERRORCODE616

Vueko thought she was a hollow this entire time. So it was a relief to her that she was still human. Also the saddest part of this episode was when she had transformed and we were hearing her inner thoughts, because it showed that Mitty was probably conscious the entire time she was with Nanachi, just trapped in that form. And Faputa didn't realize until the very end that she hadn't just inherited Irumyuui's rage, but her love too. This is the most tragic show I can't stop watching. EDIT: The next layer isn't necessarily the bottom. It's just the last layer that people have even scraps of knowledge about.

Excalibur Umbra

We're gonna have to wait five years for a new season with how this man releases chapters

Kaitsu Tokiyas

yes this is still on " the gate " on the manga we still see them around this layer

A

I was definitely worried with the pacing at first but the anime definitely did the manga justice. If there was ever an arc that could be summed up as "tragically beautiful" this would be it. (OH FYI regarding Faputa's comment about Riko's soul. Riko was born in the abyss/was stillborn and was revived by a relic. So she's more or less not entirely human) Also the composer is Kevin Penkin. I haven't listened to much of his work outside of this, but that man put his whole foot in this soundtrack.

Vinny Deluca

The Stones Faputa put on Veruekos grave we’re the same thing she made of reg to keep her company when he left. He made one of her (with the three lines like her hair has) and one of Irumyui (big tall one with the circle like the entrance to the Village). Same idea to keep her company while there all gone Also There may still be more layers, they are in 6 rn and White Whistles have said there is a 7th, beyond that no info has made it back up though, could be last Layer but the Abyss could go down to 15 for all we know

Matrim Hall

The soundtracks from both seasons and the movie are on Spotify! I highly recommend liking them.

Spriggz

The bottom of the Abyss is full of nothing but poo... yo Lupa stfu LMAO!! Had me cracking up after such an emotional episode

Pan Cakes

LESSSSSS GOOOOOOOO

godUsoland

Fun Fact: The Voice Actress for Faputa said she lost her voice screaming so much in this episode lol

Idris Naama

Do you know why it takes so long?

Seibahhh

the author is sick and has to take medication. Also he has not assistance and the chapters are long and very detailed. So he takes his time to release a chapter

Jonathan Jackson

Look up Kevin Penkin on Spotify for the soundtrack! He also did the OST for Shield Hero and Tower of God

Deshawn Smith

Literally all of his music is great but i find myself always coming back to the MIA soundtracks the most. Tower of God, Eden, and norn9 (otome game) are some of my other favs by him

Deshawn Smith

Yeah and she also had alot of other roles this season that factored in

N1ckv3n

Pakkoyan (The Cyclops who threw Vueko down the stairs) was Vueko's lover. In the manga it is understood that they have a love story and that they have also had sexual relations. So Pakkoyan sacrificed herself by throwing Vueko down the stairs to stop Vueko's pain and to stop the Sixth Layer curse that takes away humanity and makes you a hollow. Unfortunately Vueko had forgotten the existence of the curse and in any case she thought she was no longer human, these two things plus the coincidence of the fact that right there the wall had broken, led to her death. If there hadn't been a hole in the wall there, Vueko would have survived and could have stayed with Faputa, Reg Nanachi and Riko.

Daniel Borrego

unfortunately this is probably the end for the anime as its caught up almost to with the manga and the author takes friggn forever to bring out new chapters. maybe in 5-10 years we'll get a 3rd season.

Skebaba

I think Vueko was hoing around in general, since Irumyuui says "smell of mating with LOTS OF PEOPLE", implying it's more than 1 person she been hoing around w/ Also +1 to Reg's ever-growing Harem

Fuck You

So the show is really about Reg building a harem bwahaha

Kami

She said her mom was with lots of people and she smells that way so its just an assumption but the fact they gave her a moment with that one girl id like to think it was mostly her like they show in the manga.

Kami

soundtrack for season 3 releases October 26 big HYPE.

YonatanDS

that talk about the butt of the abyss in the end is Roshi trying to keep his humanity and Lupa and Shiera going full Hollows, i love it.

Tyrone Arcega

Anyone here knows the full music that roshi sings.

Tbush

I was under the assumption that she was the tribe's stress reliever. Not only was she one of the older girls of the group (I don't know her age but she seems older than Riko 150 years ago) but she was infertile, so no matter how many men she relieves, she won't get pregnant. The perfect sage for the jobs

Tbush

The official anime twitter account announced on that they made a perfume for this season. Last season they made Nanachi perfume, this time it's Faputa's turn. / You can experience the smell that Rico experienced with your nose!? Supervised by the original author, Akihito Tsukushi, the fragrant scent of Fapta has been made into a perfume✨ Reservation period: Until 23:59 on Sunday, October 23, 2022

Drake Rage

This was so good. I didn't even realize it was 50 mins long.

Cl0s3tW33b

Great show for sure. Side note: I thought when he said "Hot D" he meant High School of the Dead... I'm dumb bruh.

🥭

YESS

Alex cleveland

Welp S1 came out 2016 and S2 came out this year.... guess we waiting 6-7 years for another damn season 😭🔥

Dane

Yea I'm about to start reading the manga at the rate this released lol. Great show/reactions. Spotify has the first season and movie OSTS for those who want something to chill to.

moist mage .

We aren't going to see another season for years bro, there is like 5 chapters from where season 2 ends.

Lil Uzi Vert

the cyclops & vueko are lovers in the manga. their relationship was omitted in the anime. also, the wait is gonna be crazy for season 3. we won't be getting shit for at least 4-5 years.

Tom

This series is amazing but its hard to recommend to a friend.

Norrin Radd

You slangin Hot D on your channel too?! This is easily the best value on Patreon! 💰

Daylight95

7th layer is not the bottom. There are tells of an 8th layer. The Manga hasn’t shown the 7th layer yet, but (spoilers warning) riko and the group just came into contact with the white whistle skargo and her group. They around current 200 meters from the 7th layer. Will be years befor and adaptation will be made.

Daylight95

Prepare to go two days ahead in the story because it ain’t progressed much after this point

Aziouss

Jesus fuck what is with genius authors and being sick... Even if this is never finished i don't mind the experience is just so unique that it is memorable.

Cark

(SMALL SPOILERS FOR ANIME ONLYS) The cyclops girl (who threw vueko down the stairs) was actually her girlfriend when they were humans! In the manga it actually shows them, well, doing things, which they cut from the anime, which is why it kind of comes out of nowhere when she tries to save Vueko as her last good deed. Actually, back when Vueko first reappeared in the village, you can see the cyclops girl glancing at her multiple times before looking away. She was one of the few people to recognize her because she was part of the original group and also her ex! The guy who yelled at Riko for grabbing the paper in the market in the first couple of episodes was also part of the original group!

Daylight95

Girlfriend was the chick who got picked up by one of those flyers when they were following the village. The cyclops was just one of those original few survivors

Yamahai

No the original comment was correct. That person just looked similar

Roy Vincent Morales

do they have enough source material for season 3? I guest in 6-7 year they would
