Love is war is my current fav anime of the year but if mob keeps up with this greatness up until the finale I think I'll have my answer, most people are calling bleach and csm anime of the year from hype alone which I'm not complaining about, but the love that mob psycho's anime gets is on the level if not greater than csm and bleach, even a1 pictures gives love is war they're best production. we got a lot of studio passion anime this year

I was hoping there would be another twist to the Divine Tree like the Divine Tree developing a consciousness of its own cause they made it too obvious that Dimple was gonna take it over but this is still hype. Now Mob gotta potentially take out his friend.

it seems they increased the coloring quality on this episode. the colors are more intense and thick if that makes sense

Reigen was more than likely brainwashed cause when he did that pose when he pointed his finger Mob realized that Ritsu and those two girls did the same pose when they were brainwashed and he knew that Dimple was behind it. The only thing I can't think of is when Reigen got brainwashed, maybe when he touched Ritsu and it had a delayed effect but who knows.

Pretty sure Reigan is brainwashed. He wouldn't say stuff like that and the show implied that Mob recognized that he was doing the same hand gestures as everyone else that was brainwashed. That is why he started walking away. He knew from that point that Reigan was already under control

Just saw somebody say that Reigen likely got brainwashed through Dimple’s proximity brainwashing. So Dimple was using brainwashing through objects, and the other way as Dimple’s direct range of brainwashing, and Reigen definitely got closer and closer to Dimple’s range. But yea Reigen definitely got brainwashed.

@Wavyyesper This show is fun and I like its writing, but don't be so dumb that you delude yourself into thinking its "fighting conflicts" are the centerpiece of a show like this. The theme of the show is Mob's inner struggles and such, not the villains. There are a lot of shows like HxH where every battle could actually be the end of the protag, but this isn't that kinda show. So stfu and stop being a condescending cunt you moronic dolt, with your IQ equal to the amount of turds I shit into the toilet every morning.

the animation this episode was the best iv ever seen it. even in the first few frames you can notice a darker tone like shadows , the lines are finer, the lighting and background seemed a bit more realistic, and the score was amazing. Another example is Teru waking to the fridge into the shade was animated entirely to good for no reason. Amazing handling of the writing and story moving and great pace. S Tier episode for sure.

Reigen was brainwashed due to the proximity of the Divine Tree/Dimple's location, as previously Dimple had shown he could use hypnosis-like-powers with psychic energy AND items alike back when he was the leader of LOL. The powder and candies of the broccoli are just helpful in getting a farther reach of those not coming near the tree, which I guess reflects how the roots are also covering more and more ground the further its reach goes... If Reigen was actually in control at that point, he wouldn't have just left Mob on his own to deal with that tree. He's very responsible as Mob's stand-in guardian during situations such as these.

Yes, Dimple got to (almost) brainwash Hanazawa, one of the most powerful characters of the series, just for being near and using his powers. Reigen is Reigen, but he is still a normal human. It's implied too that the first members of the cult were brainwashed before the creation of the powder.

It's EXTREMELY obvious that Reigen is brainwashed. Very easy to pick up from visual cues. It's also obvious that the characters in there do not have the same knowledge or perspective that we do, and therefore can't figure out or know everything as easily as we do. I think people are missing how Reigen got brainwashed, took me a bit too. The moment he stops to take a breath he puts his hand on one of the Psycho helmet posters on the wall. Right after this he starts to act off. If he was going to be brainwashed without contact he would’ve been when they went in the room with all the followers that Ritsu brought them to.

Actually Reigen was brainwash the moment he stopped to take a breath. Very hard to catch but it’s after they ran and Reigen stopped to think, leaning his hand against the wall and accidentally touching a psycho helmet poster. If Reigen was going to be brainwash because of just being around the tree it would’ve happened already because the roots are throughout the city, also he would’ve been brainwashed if he stayed in the room with the followers that Ritsu brought them too.
