i think there are only two reasons xavier wants wednesday to stay away from tyler: 1. general racism. the normies stick to their own kind and vice versa. 2. jealousy. he clearly has a crush on wednesday who is spending time with tyler. he is competition so he is trying to keep them apart so he can have her all to himself.

That scene with the dean was pretty cool. The dean claimed that the "world isn't always black and white" arguing that they need to operate in a morally grey area for the sake of normie-outcast relations. Yet in that scene, Wednesday is visually black in her aesthetic, with what she is wearing, while the dean is aesthetically white. I think it probably represents that their perspectives will ultimately obstruct any compromise, clearly angling the disagreement as black and white as they likely disagree on what's morally grey about the history of Jericho. Visually Wednesday is on the left, and the dean is on the right, just like when the dean says "black and white." This show rocks; I'm glad we are getting a reboot of the Addams family.

Wednesday blinks only when she seems interested by someone, for example when the therapist asked her about her novel (wednesday likes to write the novel) so she was caught of guard that someone asked her about something she enjoys. My personal opinion.
