highkey bluescreened at the end, that girl is OP

Comments

iChris
>>97997172

Growing up is realizing that Sheera is the one that should be shutting up a majority of the time

Omar Bautista

Yes best girl BEAM is here. I hope we get some of the funny banter next episode

Nicole Guerrero

ANGEL DEVIL HAS ARRIVED, he's one of my faves 😩🫶🏽 manz is beautiful too. also future devil be gettin sturdy 💃🏽

Grael

wow yall uploaded this as I refreshed the page. god is good

Nicole Guerrero

aki's side eye in the car was so funny for no reason🌛😭

Mozart Waddell

Makima's in a whole casting couch scene 😏

Mozart Waddell

I'm happy for Aki. Cursed Devil really gave him an all perks deal.

Maz3r

They messed around with the translation For the future devil in the manga he tells aki "he will die in the worst way possible"

neoplansc

This is the final episode for now isnt it? I havent seen any news about a cour2 personally

Julio Morales

i love that lupa alao saw the couch reference.. 🤣🤣🤣 i posted that shit on discord

faded

Lupa also noticed the angle 💀

Champion Bescos
>>97950588

Yeah, that’s probably the first translation issue that I’ve had all season, but it realllllly takes away from how ominous the situation is and how fucked Aki is.

Nicole Guerrero

Aki basically told future he didn’t want any manga spoilers on how he dies 💀

Chelle

Sheera @ every side character: “they’re a problem”

Dantene
>>97951084

Lol to be fair, it's kinda true in CSM. Nothing but problems being taken out by more insane problems

nami

Im sure someone will point this out but they messed up a translation, Future says "You will die in the worst way possible" and not "your death will fucking rule" which i think is an unfortunate but important line they messed up because it shows that whatever is going to happen Future essentially wants a front row seat to witness it

naa

"i'm going to kill denji" lupa: no you're not "i'm gonna slaughter sideburns" lupa: you're gonna get your ass beat sir?! whose side are you on?? 😂

Coco
>>97951084

To be fair, in terms of powers Denji isnt much of a problem when compared to the people coming or already shown.

uspretty

angel a whole ngga

Jake Thompson

Future just told him all he can do is see a bit into the future, DAS IT. There ain't "more." Also Roshi got so lost in the episode he thought snakes had hands, that's pretty funny.

iCY

i promised myself not to read the comments due to spoilers, yeah u reap what u sow huh

ERRORCODE616

Lololol Lupa I had the same reaction to that Casting Couch angle they had on Makima when it happened in the manga.

YungZeus

Makima? More like Piper Perri…

Infantrymedic11
>>97950588

I agree with how the original translation showed how fucked Aki situation is but to me, the anime translation matched the whole vibe of the future devil personality, I think the voice acting is what sold it to me but I think both work well.

MonarchXIII

My boys Beam and Angel finally make an appearance!

naa

btw angel devil isn't a girl, he's just a very pretty/androgynous dude

Mozart Waddell

I do hope Madoka gets the get back on Makima for inadvertently getting his partner and colleagues killed. It's apparently obvious that this was all a ploy for her to consolidate power. He was right to leave Special Division. Goes to show no matter how good the pay/benefits are, it's not worth it if you're deemed expendable by your boss.

BlackAirForcesEnergy

What's crazy is it only gets better from here. If they get the same team with the same production it's going to be insane.

Rosinante

I actually think it’s a pretty big deal that they left out the part where the future devil explicitly states that he wants to see Aki’s death with his own eyes because it’ll be in the worst way possible. Adds a little more depth imo

Mari

Damn we really only got one episode left 😥😓

Daniel Borrego

i love that EVERYONE thinks the same thing when they initially see makima on that couch :D

Eunice

You guys should react to Shang chi if you guys haven’t watched it already

MDLNubes

The creator of Chainsaw man filled this show up with cultural references. Wouldn't surprise me if that hall was actually Inception. Pretty sure it was a casting couch ref in beginning.

Smash Bran'Discootch

Roshi: "Okay, what was that?" Makima: "Death." Roshi: "What kind?" Makima: "Instant." Roshi: "But there was no sound, he just died!" Makima: "Yeah, its terrifying. It's a terrifying thing to watch happen. It's called a deterrent."

payasoloco

It be cool if you watch avatar the way of water for a movie reaction

Devin B
>>97952929

Rick and Makima would get along greatly. They both give 0 fucks.

Smash Bran'Discootch

So wait....if the snake can eat a devil and then use it once...does that make the Ghost Devil.....A Consumable Item?

Planksir

As someone mentioned earlier, the future devil line was translated wrong so that makes me feel that Aki is gonna die a brutal death. bruh...

Joey Zero
>>97952223

It’s crazy how the entire first season is slow and tame compared to later episodes. Can’t wait

Smash Bran'Discootch
>>97952265

Not really? I mean what he said gave the exact same, "Oh man your death is gonna be so messed up that I absolutely wanna see it" vibe as in the manga without slapping you in the face with it. I actually think this was done a little better. As soon as they said that in the manga, I was like, "Welp...I know exactly what's happening from here." This conveys the exact same thing while leaving it a bit ambiguous. EDIT: Sorry, i phrased that in kind of a rude way. This is of course just my opinion and yours is just as valid. Sorry if this came off douchey.

Planksir
>>97953633

Also Future devil gave Aki a hefty discount once he saw his future lmao

Smash Bran'Discootch
>>97950328

I concur. Best boy. I don't think they said his name this episode but I was stoked to see him animated. Violence Fiend was great to see too.

t_t

That thumbnail kinda sus

Chocobo

already feel like Lupa gonna say something rotoscoped 😂😂😂

Puige Hanovo
>>97952265

They didn't leave it out. It's the same sentence and wording as the manga, the CR translators just messed up. They've done it before on CSM. Other sites have the proper translation.

K T

When Roshi said that he likes the Violence Fiend, well, you're in the ride dude. My personal fave is the Shark Fiend. 🦈

Niuwah

I commented last episode that the future devil definitely wasn't going to take anymore of his lifespan because he only has two years 🤣 but this is hilarious. If I was the future devil I would do the same thing, cause Aki's life sucks ass 🤣🤣

Aziouss

If there is an angel devil does that mean there can be a human and god devil? I mean shit like that can explain makima and her opness!

Zephyrs

Im anime only so idk if this is gonna be correct or not but; Ghost demon was terrified of Snake Demon User SD User got a nosebleed after commanding Ghost Demon She formed a contract with Ghost Demon for sparing it, she gets the entire body to use for a short cost, like nosebleed. Theres gotta be something about this girl to get lesser self harming contracts, possibly similar to how Aki and the future devil are basically contracted at no expense to Aki

ken_tka
>>97952265

well it doesnt even matter that they left it out bc now you got the manga spergs spamming it in every comment section

Darius Churchman

Makima’s power didn’t work on the girl, thats why she got a nose bleed like the rest but didn’t die

Toasted Toad
>>97950588

Yes, that's the first translation I've had an issue with. I'm not going to explain why here because I don't want to accidentally drift into spoilers, but I did not like the change.

ken_tka

i feel like lupa smoked a bowl before this

Chan
>>97952265

Literally. Under a YT comment section, I had some of the plot lines spoiled by a kid named 'Spoiler Devil'. I'm not even mad at it tbh, funny ash

Rosinante
>>97952265

not at all! I appreciate the reply. I only say it cause I saw a couple other reactions where they just completely missed the point of the exchange which was a bit annoying lol

Mirrorline

WHY would Crunchyroll change the translation to "because your death rules"?!! The future devil said that Aki's death is 'Saiyaku' which means horrible. Changing your death is horrible to your death rules is such a big change to the narrative and will cause a lot of wrong assumption. WTF CR?!

Neutr0n
>>97955750

yeah even in the official translation of the manga it says "you're going to die in the worst possible way"

Didier
>>97952629

It's like a mix between the Casting Couch meme and the Piper Perri Surrounded meme.

ken_tka

lol why was roshi so confused when the ghost devil came out

ken_tka
>>97955304

i thought that was because making the snake release a devil takes a bigger toll on her

Coran

I’m confused about what y’all thought Aki was about to do with his eye lol. The future devil literally said he can peek a few seconds into the immediate future and that’s it. We’re not going based on jojo seconds where it lasts like a minute lol he can only see a very small glimpse of the future and it’s maybe enough to barely dodge something if he can foresee it coming. Other than that he has to rely on pure physical ability hence why him slicing the ghost devil up was still impressive cause he had little assistance.

Infinity

Violence fiend better not get killed off I wanna see him just give people hands.

Coran
>>97951529

I just commented this I’m glad I’m not alone, I was like what are y’all expecting him to do pull out a genjutsu??? He can only see a few seconds which is barely anything.

JsnSkg

TFW Makima is more gangster than the literal gangsters. XD

Amna Khan

Don’t you guys think that Kishibe looks similarly to this actor Mads Mikkelsen?? It kinda looks like him, if I’m wrong.

Davido

Y'all forgetting Kishibe is him. When he was introduced he told Makima to shut up in the middle of her talking. He also said he is the strongest Devil hunter

Muse of Salzburg
>>97955750

It’s an odd change but it’s at least not out of line for the future devil, and it kind of implies the same thing

Mozart Waddell

I miss Arai and I hope Power never tucks her shirt in again.

Mikaele Rosecrans

Lupa don’t think I didn’t hear what u said when Denji flew or the teacher was talking “welp they only got one bell”

Mirrorline
>>97955750

Not really. To me it implied a very different death for Aki. Your death will be awesome and your death will be horrible is 2 different thing for me. CR purposely change the direct translation which super bad. Why would you change a meaning of a word?? Ive seen a lot of anime only watchers exited to see how Aki's gonna die. Spoiler alert: Aki's death was not awesome at all. His death was Terrible.

xsenntric

>Makima asks yakuza for the names of all people in the gang with contracts with the Gun Devil >Everyone with guns in the rest of the episode are the one's who get nosebleeds and die

Mozart Waddell

One of the great mysteries of CSM. How is Aki's sheath on his back straight yet his Katana's blade is clearly curved 🧐

JsnSkg

Lmao I love Roshi's Cliffhanger Stare at the camera.

Kermit
>>97957188

Trying to apply logic to anime is a one way ticket to madness

Mikaele Rosecrans

Y’all are weird for pointing out the couch scene yall nasty af 💀

Tyler

With CSM coming to an end I just hope that it doesn't end up being the new One Punch Man where the sequel season is a noticeable step down.

Sergio
>>97957469

sadly i feel like that’s exactly what’s gonna happen, unless they take like 4 yrs to make it

Chad

that couch scene is gonna be a meme everywhere lol

Didier
>>97952265

Everybody sounds kinda douchey on the Internet, because there is obviously no way for nonverbal communication, no way to express your emotions directly (like the tone of your voice, the stance of your body, etc. They are sometimes more important than your actual words), and the Internet is too casual a place for apologetic mannerism each time you write a sentence; so what goes on in your head translates directly into your keyboard without filter. And people can never truely feel your emotions through your words; they can only interpret it. That's why people invented emojis, but most of the time using them in a conversation will make you sound either needy or immature.

Leandro Da Silva

Just wait till they realize that Angel is a dude 😭

Kermit

10:25 Me spending 5 mins analysing the couch trying to figure out what tf is wrong with it before realising what they're referring to.

SnailSpray

knowing the author the makima couch scene was probably done on purpose

Sung Woong
>>97956762

The author of chainsaw man is a massive cinema fan. One of the reasons why the OP has a bunch of movie references in it. Would not have put it past Fujimoto, the author, to have drawn inspiration from Mads.

Louis Kalman

Aki is such a raw character, even if the future rules

Carlos

I had to read ahead on the Manga, shit is too hype. Mappa gonna kill their animators on the upcoming fights

Louis Kalman
>>97955750

I nitpick a lot but I don’t see why people are so upset about this one personally. It’s much less ominous but still Future commenting on how he enjoyed seeing how Aki will die one day

Mirrorline
>>97955750

Its because the author wants the audience to know that Aki's death will be horrible. What happened in the future with Aki has been foretold since this episode. Saying that his death will be awesome will divide how people are gonna think the way he's gonna die. That's why the author wanted to let the audience knows that Aki will have a terrible death since from the start.

Mervyn Larrier

I love how Roshi could get over the Violence Fiend's power being beating niggas asses 💀💀💀💀

marii

aki…

PatiPati

Since you're anime only and next week's ep is the last one.. I wanted to ask. What did you expect from this show and did it live up to the hype surrounding it? I'm curious.

Umbra_Nex

I think you guys missed it in the mix, but the Future devil said that his power allows Aki to peek a bit into the future "but thats it". So he was probably already using the power which is why snake girl thought that he had gotten better, but it doesnt seem to give him anything crazy.

Hans Wurst

Never thought CSM and Mushoku Tensei would have something in common. Good on Aki for having his own Eye of Foresight.

Darby

the fact that this outro was animated by one dude is also fucking wild. props to mappa for committing 100% to this show.

Mirrorline
>>97963839

Not really. Ive seen some artist that already posted about their part for this week's outro.

Phroug

I honestly would've thought that the Spider devil would be MUCH stronger, like up there with the Gun devil. I mean, arachnophobia is VERY common, I see no reason as to why it would be in any lower tier

Corey Leach

Bro you can't tell me there ain't no Nigga devil around based off of how many ppl are scared of us. 😂😂 Also the War devil and Death devil gotta be a serious problem.

Tyrese Marshall
>>97964625

its not an extreme fear tho no matter how common. People throw around the term when they r just slightly startled by a spider. A gun will make many freeze in fear especially since the weapon is banned in most major countries.

TokinMex

The future devil basically gave Aki observation haki

Devin B
>>97964625

@Crismel Mejia Jimenez she's not a fiend though. She a devil that takes on a humanoid form most of the time.

Rami Homsi
>>97964625

more than a GUN lmao?? Cmon man, only a relative few amount of people are scared of spiders, but everyone is afraid when they're on the wrong side of the gun

Yahroh

Ok....Im about to go read the manga. Why do i have a feeling Makima is a Human devil. The devil name being Lillith

Cowie

Snake has few commands, Tail, swallow and spit it out. So yeah Sawatari can have snake eat up devils and then control them after she commands snake to spit them

Tyrone Williams

Makima straight up told bro: "Nah bitch, I'M the necessary evil."

Kou

I love it when Makima smiles

Eric Armando Miranda

the future devil easy contract wasnt because he only have 2 years lifespan but because he gonna die before that in a manner that the devil would enjoy

Taylor
>>97955750

Yeah but a devil saying "your death rules" still implies a horrible death. The fact that HE wants to see it so bad that he didn't make him give up anything shows that it must be so horrible that it will entertain the hell out of him.

Mirrorline
>>97955750

Yeah but it can still lead to different expectations on his death. If they would have just translate it properly, they wouldn't be any. And tbh Your death is horrible is way better then your death rules because it shows how doomed Aki is.

Tradell
>>97950825

Nah they have multiple scenes in the show mirroring other events in shows, movies, etc. that was more than likely very intentional lol

Mute_Otaku

The shark and violence devils are my favourite since they become friends later on but also manly love their design along with other characters that haven’t been introduced yet not till season 2

BZD

I think the future devil also wanted to escape. So if Aki dies he will probably be freed.

Arc
>>97964625

Oh she's by no means weak, later you'll see she has an extremely powerful ability, that we see only twice in the show - the main reason Makima keeps her around. The appearance of a devil is mostly chosen by them. Spider chose a humanoid smaller frame and she's also weakened because of the limited blood that the Hunters are giving her. Future is also extremely OP but he's rather small and friendly.

joshua rosario

wow i never thought of ppl being of zombies would lead to zombies being real!!! lmaooooo the world is fucked they fonna die purr

Mirrorline

oh man, I just realized that these guys completely missed the big hint that Kishibe gave about Makima in this episode. I thought they would catch it since they always get subtle hints that are left in shows.

Burning Talons

The Makina and Yakuza scene was intentional btw to portray the Blacked scene

Burning Talons
>>97951633

He talking about Aki, In the manga I guess the Future devil confirms his death as the worst. Not really a spoiled since we all know that mfer is toast. Just don’t know how yet.

Jerry89

Makima smiled cause he knew she was lying he called her a liar

Ougi

i knew the moment they were gonna be reactng to this show that roshi would love the violence fiend, bro is literally violence in human form

Skebaba

Angel Devil bussy got me actin fr fr

Skebaba
>>97968933

How fucking OP must a fucking VIOLENCE Devil be? Like that's literally the most common fear in the world, besides maybe the Death Devil or some shit like that

Skebaba
>>97964644

Do you think War Devil is a friend of Gun Devil's? Also @Burning Talons there is NO Devil Devil, because fear of devils in general just empowers ALL DEVILS (even the fear of devils caused by Gun Devil just flatout baseline boosted all Devils in existence because it made bazillions of ppl fear the Devils as a concept)

Skebaba
>>97967133

I mean makes sense. One of the big boi Fears that every Human has, is the fear of OTHER HUMANS

Skebaba
>>97967233

Why does it take low-tier payments tho? A mere nail, something that can literally just regrow after a few months or w/e

Manju
>>97957469

as long as its still made by mappa then it'll be fine

Didier

The Future Devil said "saiaku na shinikata", which translates as "the worst way to die ever". Maybe the Crunchyroll translator is a n00b in Japanese and thought he heard "saikyô" instead of "saiaku", but unfortunately that's not the first time this happens with Crunchyroll. For example last ep, when Denji wondered about his heart saying "shinzô dake ja naku, hito no kokoro made nakunacchimatta no ka?" (basically "Did I not only lose my heart organ, but also my human heart?"), the Crunchyroll translation made it sound too vague. Denji was wondering if Pochita replacing his heart organ made him lose his humanity, but many reactors thought he was talking about how his own harsh past made him oblivious to social interactions. This, in my opinion, is a translation failure. Even in this episode 11, there are few moments like when Kobeni says twice "kaeritai" (I wanna go home), and they translated the second time by "I hate this" (they probably just thought it sounded funny given the context of the scene, in an American way). Or when they made Kishibe say "I don't care what fucked up shit you have cooking [...] You get a pass..." to Makima, because making an old Japanese man express himself like a suburban American zoomer makes perfect sense, right? Or when they made Kurose say "So she let you have it?" to Aki instead of simply "So she slapped you?" It's like Crunchyroll are trying so hard to sound "kewl" and contemporary with their slang that it looks like it's written "Hello, fellow youngsters" all over the characters' faces. English is a language inherited from Norse Vikings' oral traditions. Therefore it was mostly transmitted orally through the generations, just like African languages or Carribean Créole; and unlike European Latin-based languages or East-Asian languages that are deeply rooted in rigid transcriptions (try learning Chinese or Japanese through oral exposition for 20 years of your life and you will barely be able to express yourself, because you won't understand the root of the language's system, whereas learning English from oral exposition in less than a year is totally feasible). Because of this, English is a melting pot of different origins. It's an ever evolving language in perpetual motion that creates new buzz words and expressions everyday. What I mean is that like the dead slang of your grandparents, those subtitles are gonna age like milk. Imagine a soundcloud rapper listening to a beatnik interview, trying to understand what the fuck the interviewee is actually saying. This will be the same type of alien experience your grandchildren will go through while trying to watch Chainsaw Man through Crunchyroll subtitles. Translating in the most formal way possible, unless indicated otherwise, and as close to the source material as possible, would have been the safer way to go. Say, let's theorize that maybe Crunchyroll are actually thoughtful and thought about the American cinema's influence on Chainsaw Man, and wanted those characters to express themselves in casual english like cool American dudes wearing black suits would do, à la Réservoir Dogs or Pulp Fiction. It's just a theory but it's totally possible. But then it would have made more sense for them to wait for the dub to change the dialogues. Dubbing is an adaptation. Subtitling is a direct translation. Please someone thell them the difference.

Dirty_Oldman

Lupa with the chainsaw at the end; I looked away and thought the video restarted lol.

Step Joe
>>97970470

Nah bro, just goes to show how much crazy shit they deal with. That a zombie outbreak isnt even that big of a deal.

Step Joe
>>97969611

I think the future devil just sits dormant in his cell while watching through Aki. Dont think he actually lives in his eye since devils still have a physical body.

Step Joe
>>97967693

Eew nah bro. Those be the seats where you gotta look up at the screen all the time. Well say 5th row, best seats.

Step Joe
>>97967233

Devils set what kind of deals they want. Doesnt matter how little or how much, anyone can give anything.

joshua rosario
>>97970470

Well I’m speaking for normal ppl cause that shit would end the world, one bite at a time. But obv if there are devil hunters the zombies are like slimes in a dungeon

Step Joe
>>97955135

I shall not confirm nor deny anything. But if there were a God devil, it wouldnt be as strong as an actual god since people dont fear it all that much. Mainly the opposite which is worship

Terp31
>>97978733

Damn bro wrote a whole essay over a few slang words. Who. Cares.

Tyler
>>97957469

Not really that weird. CSM's release reminds me a lot of OPM. A fresh new anime that is super popular and has passionate people working on it who deliver quality that outdoes anything else that has come out. Quality like this would take a ton of money and man hours and I am just concerned that they will keep that consistent in the following season is all.

Scott Brown
>>97978733

Where the hell do you get "suburban zoomer" with "I don't care what fucked up shit you have cooking"? That's absolutely something I could see a middle-aged hard-ass fed/military guy saying. Also, this is such an incredibly annoying comment it's actually blowing my mind. The Denji heart bit aside, this series is so intentionally goofy that I think these translations actually all work very well.

سلمان

min 10:27 me and Lupa same Reaction hhhhhhhh

danial javady
>>97978733

The japanese manga has the exact same line used in the anime. They translated it to "your death will fucking rule" as the translators believed this captures the intent the author was trying to express. When you directly translate Japanese into English, you lose nuance. I speak japanese and this translation is fine. Another example is that the translation of "damare onna" is just literally "shut up woman" but it doesn't capture the intent the author was expressing. In Japanese, it is extremely rude to tell someone to "damare"; Even more so adding "onna" at the end. But in English "shut up woman" isn't as offensive as it is in Japanese. That's why they changed it to "shut up bitch" because it expresses intent better. Direct translations lead to loss in meaning from Japanese to English and vice versa because the languages share very few traits, which is why translators have to be more creative than usual. In this context, this is actually a good translation. Because it follows the flow of the dialogue very well. "You must be thinking, that's all?" -> this is supported by the intrigue by the devil in to Aki's death being theatrical. There are multiple right ways to translate this. The only one who can make assertions is the actual author himself because only he knows just exactly what intent he meant to deliver. The translators here didn't fuck up, at all.

Step Joe

Angel bussy will suck the life out of you😵‍💫😵‍💫

nami
>>97952307

im pretty sure that was intended lmao with all the references fuji likes to add i would not doubt it at all

Darion Wilson

SHEERA looks like she be wanting Lupa to shut up...

Thetrillest Khi

yeah the future devil basically just wants to watch his future and death because devils find that suffering amusing

The Pebble

So if conceptual demons exist, shouldn't a "Fear Devil", exist and they would be the strongest?

Bird
>>98008364

A fear devil wouldn't be fed by all fear, it would be fed by the fear of being afraid, which while present isn't that significant.

The Pebble
>>98008364

I see, then with that logic I guess the Death Devil would probably be the strongest; I mean people are scared of guns because they kill you after all.

Champion Bescos
>>97978733

Damn, Didier, sorry people don’t like reading comments pertinent to the show in a… comment section about the show? Lol. Took me less than two minutes to read and I rather enjoyed your information. Even if most people disagreed with what you were saying, it was still an informative and thought out post. Now while if I personally don’t take the translation issues quite that seriously, I can see how nuance is lost in the pursuit of being relevant or catchy with a different/specific audience, and in a series or show like this - where almost everything is intentional - it can be annoying. That being said, the entire production behind this adaptation has been near flawless, so we can let some things slide. Thanks for sharing man.

Grelk
>>97978733

yeah i don't know why people are acting pissy about your comment i agree with this completely

Aye Jaye
>>98008364

Yes a death devil would be really strong. I'm not sure if it would be the strongest, there are things people are afraid of more than death that we don't really realize. Understand, with conceptual demons existing, nothing is off the table. I'm sure something like a pain demon would actually be stronger than death.

Drake Rage

The girl with the snake... she got a nosebleed just like the other guys that Makima killed this episode. Her contract with the snake has only taken her nails so far in the show, so I was thinking that the nosebleed was from Makima trying to kill her, but it didn't work. Really interesting, it could be an inherent power that Makima can't kill people who have contract with Devils or the snake girl might have another ability up her sleeve that negated Makima's long-distance killing ability.

ok
>>98020046

I agree but I took that as her being foreshadowed to die in the next ep or something tbh

ok

Roshi when you say "use it" do you mean his sword? or the future devil power? because he has BEEN using the latter.

ok
>>97951529

im extremely confused how they didnt pick up on the observation haki thing like it was explicitly stated. tf?

ok
>>97956463

but like what is it to even "peep" like it was told to them. what are they ignoring???

Em
>>97978733

THANK YOU danial, it gets so tiring seeing people who don't speak japanese beyond a basic level complain about translations not being "literal" enough. wanting japanese translations to always be "literal" proves you don't really understand japanese OR the translation industry.

Isaac
>>98008364

People would be more terrified of things that cause death than death itself. People know they will die, the fear mainly focuses on the HOW part. So if there was something to fear greater than Death it would be fear of the Unknown because people are scared of uncertainty. At least that's how I'd see it.

Persto
>>97978733

Just gonna add my two cents, regarding the translation bit, I completely agree with Danial. As someone whose native language isn't English and translates as a daily thing, it is very important to not translate literally. Few times will you be able to translate literally word for word and get the same level of context or nuance than if you added what the words are meant to convey. This goes for any language and not just translating to English either, languages aren't similar enough to where direct translations will mean the same thing, even moreso when those languages have different cultures behind them.

Pain Amvs

I DONT GIVE A DAMN IM A CHAINSAW MANNNN YEAHHHH

YungZeus

@Rami Honestly, the gun devil should be pretty weak. People aren’t afraid of guns but the person holding it.

Mirrorline

For those anime-only watchers of this show, manga readers are furious about the wrong translation during the Future devil scene because that line will be brought back later in the story, and changing it will cause a problem. It's only the English translation that decides to change it meanwhile every other language follows the correct translation.

I don't know if anyone has said this already but the future devil gave aki the ability to see slightly into the future but that's it he can't do anything else

UPDATE TO ALL THE OFFICAL SUBS!! Almost all the subs changed the line of the future devil from "Your death in the future will fucking rule" into "your death in the future will be the fucking worst". i know manga fans were mad and plz dont try to explain why but I saw a reddit it post saying crunchyroll and others changed the sub for some reason so i thought i would share

They were probably too focused on the action and didn’t really read and comprehend what he said.

How is that a spoiler it’s literally just his gender and isn’t central to the plot at all. They even refer to him as a he in the episode if I recall.

Well he’s a fiend not a devil so he’s not as strong as he would be in his actual devil form.

The Violence Fiend reminds me of Mr. Foster from Killing Floor

well they said they had to constantly poison the violence devil to keep him under control or else he would be too op.

SeriouslyJet

Just realized in the opening song in the movie theater scene. Everyone of the Special division 4 is present except the Violence fiend and at the ending song no. 11. They featured all of the eternity devil arc characters except for Arai and inserted the violence fiend in. Hmmmmmmm...

alyssa

the angel devil is actually a boy! and he’s cute as hell <3

Vayne

makima basically told the yakuza " yall my fucking dogs now bark" LMAO

Vayne

He’s been using the sword too. It’s not the Curse Devil’s nail. The story doesn’t really point out the switch but they’re not the same at all if you watch both scenes.

Angel devil is a dude btw not a girl, he can still get it though
