If he was black, his backstory wouldn’t make sense. No Nigga would have the ambition that he has, that goes against its very definition with unfulfilled ambition that likes to complain and loves to worry- Word to Martin Luther King from the Boondocks. Disclaimer: A black person and a Nigga is not the same thing, they’re inherently different as almost anyone can be a Nigga depending on how they act based off of their upbringing.

No that’s literally not true. The racist personal investigator was talking about Weathers fake father. They mentioned that they also burned down their house. They assume that Weather is mixed. The backstory wouldn’t make any sense if they were all of African decent. The literally tell Perla that she can kiss anyone she wants but not Weather because she’s white and they assume Weather to be mixed.

Weathers father was black. He’s a twin of pucci meaning they share the same father. Pucci’s father was literally black and it was shown in the ep. Even IF they were talking abt a different dad. It still wasn’t misinformation bcz in both cases weather’s father was a black man

Weather Reports "hair" is actually a hat. It’s a reference to the character on the album cover of "Travelling Without Moving" by Jamiroquai. Weather’s back story design is literally just his hair tho lol.

Just because someone has darker skin dose not mean they are African. It’s just there pigment that’s different. They are referred to have Sicilian decent, and thus have tanned or darker skin. This obviously isn’t always passed down as seen in Weather, Perla, and IN REAL LIFE. Again the back story would literally make no sense if they were African.

Thank God they kept the racist plot in there because I was worried they were gonna whimp out on that part. I actually read a head on the manga and assumed they were gonna work around the racism by straight up ignoring that part. I like when plots that take place at certain eras in American history and actually work with what people were like in those days in the plotline instead of avoiding it.

I don't think Pucchi was wrong either. Priest take confessions VERY seriously. They kind of have too. It not about him choosing his job over them. Plus he was worried about how finding out the man shes in love with is her brother would affect Perla. So he was just like I'll pay some goons to threaten him and they'll break up simple. He had no way of knowing how that would turn out. Extremely bad luck. And I think Pucchi and Wes are half black cause it shows there father and he looks black idk thou.

I think the author was trying to highlight the fact that no one in that situation committed a sin cause Weather and Perla fell in love not realizing they were related and Pucchi was trying to protect her sister while holding on to his faith by not spilling Weather's mom's confession. Just the way he went about it was kind of sloppy but it was a mistake on his end.
