Goodbye Mob, its been quite the ride!

Comments

HessianX

The last time Mob Psycho will emotionally break me. Until I watch it again.

slipHAZARD

Hands down this is a perfect anime

E N

It wasn't brought up at a weird moment. Ritsu was stuck in the past there, thinking that Mob still needed someone to tell him that it was ok to express his own opinion. The flashback was a way of symbolizing that, and when it snapped back to the present, that was Ritsu realising he didn't need to do that sort of stuff for Mob anymore.

Kd

Must’ve forgot mob rebuilt the school he destroyed

Renni .

It’s so sad :( imma miss this show

Mari

Is this the last season of mob ?

Alex Lieu

i feel like you guys would have fun with devil is a part timer if you haven't watched it yet

Mari

Damnnn, I thought there was more, it has been quite a ride though 🔥🔥

Kablamoo101

ONE has created this masterpiece alongside One Punch Man and potentially his new manga Versus. I will forever respect the man and the way he conveys emotions

Mari

I’m not even about to recommend any anime to watch to replace this, imma wait until another show ends because I know danmachi is 100% is going to win the next poll for sure

Mahmii

What got me was that unlike in S2, Reigen is finally not celebrating alone. This finale had me crying like CRAZY

danial javady

I think you're being too critical for not liking Dimple coming back. It follows the theme of Mob perfectly. The moment dimple disappeared I never for once thought he wouldn't have been coming back.

Devin B

Reigen looked like he could've been in the movie Bubble with all the parkour he was doing

Kozmo

yeah this show didn't have the guts to kill off villians let alone someone like dimple

Champion Bescos

Gonna miss this fucking masterpiece of a show. It’s my wife and I’s favorite (shared) anime, one of the few nether of us watched ahead on or read ahead on. A show that had heart - loads of it - with incredible animation and voice acting and music to supplement that heart. 10/10, just like Bones’ other masterpiece FMA.

6CatsInAnAlley

Dimple died like three or four times and kept coming back from a fraction of his energy, so nothing new there to be honest

Nugby

temporary wouldn't have made much sense to me, that would imply he was basically just a passing spirit at the time, but considering he was already a ghost, why wouldn't he have been able to stick around? but that's probably just me, lol, I never mind characters coming back to life

Grimm

You guys should watch Barry if you haven't watched it. I think you guys would love that show

Davon Thomas

Never forget last season reigen had no one to celebrate his birthday with. The finale ending with Mob becoming more expressive and having tons of friends then Reigen also now being surrounded by people who also care about him is a great ending.

Louis Kalman

Great episode. I think the weird thing with Teru’s hair and the wind blowing was a flashback to last time Mob took his hair in a fight. Ritsu met Teru when he had the goofy ass pillar wig; it blew off from a gust of wind that lifted those girls’ skirts and showed Teru’s bald spot. Ritsu had a panic flashback to that moment because he thought Teru’s hair was a wig and the same thing would happen. It doesn’t because it’s not a wig (or he learned to superglue that shit.) Confused me at first too.

AzureSiegfried

My favorite anime of all time comes to an end :( I'm gonna miss this show

不死鳥

For the city fixing, they have psychics so a whole ass house can be fixed in like 5 minutes

HollowedSlayer

I was caught off guard by Dimple. I really thought Reigen was gonna tell Mob he had powers the whole time.

Earphone Jack

This episode had me crying! I kept saying “OOOOHHHHH!”, especially when Reigen told Mob the truth and at the end when they all surprised Reigen for his birthday! There will never be a duo like Mob and Reigen! 🥹🥹🥹 I was shocked at Dimple coming back because I wasn’t expecting it. And I LOVED when 99 started playing when Reigen was running towards Mob! The first OP is my favorite one!!!

Isaac

Dimple never died because he was dead to begin with. He's a spirit and spirits are eternal last I checked. He was never exercised or sent to the beyond like spirits usually do. He battled a force, won that battle and sent it to space and ended up coming back. He never died unless I'm missing something here.

Lola

Literally one of my favourite show loved this one so much so sad it's finished 🥲 Also, you guys should absolutely watch Saiki K, same vibe with an overpowered MC but more comedic slide of life and also a goated anime!

Erica Collins

Man I'm gonna miss this show sm. It was one of the first few shows I started watching in my beginner stage of watching anime. I want more & I really wish it wasn't over but the ending was really nice

MDLNubes

There are some scenes past 2 episodes where it fades to black that, at least for me watching solo, that I saw myself in the reflection of the screen.

MDLNubes

Last episode it flipped from Mob, to Magic Mobs outline, the outline framed my reflection. I think it was super clever of the animators. I personally related to Mob many times, and sure others did too. And those moments near the end solidified Mob Psycho as one of the Top anime ive seen. Almost every episode every season was a banger.

MDLNubes

about 21:40 in last reaction ep 11, is when i saw it the 1st time.

Argo2Unitard

Damn, y'all really thought Dimple was gone for good?

Red

Gonna miss you Mob

Deku Kana

3 episodes behind and man I don’t think I’m ready

Darby

I haven't seen any of Mob but I know it's animated by the same studio as MHA and people have been hyping this show's animation this season vs MHA. Not gonna lie - after checking out some of this season, the art style/character design are so simple that it allows animators to have so much more freedom in animation vs. those in MHA. It's like the equivalent of animating a stick figure vs. a fully detailed character. I'm not saying Mob's animation is bad by any means but the art style takes me out completely. One Piece is the same for me, although the world building and story carries that show. I've heard Mob's story is very good/touching so now that it's over, it might be worth a binge watch since it's only 37 eps.

Toes24

Bro there's no way you just said this

Tye

gotta be drunk. not saying MHA is bad, but bones definitely went all out for Mob this year. watching a few clips of the third season really doesn’t do justice. there’s so many details in every episode-honestly, this is one of the best manga to anime adaptions ever. studio bones really loved this anime and it shows.

klah

like yall were saying just because mob knew already doesn't take away the weight of reigen admitting it out loud. ??? mob disregarded him because he was never honest and didn't expect him to be, so reigen opening up genuinely surprised him

Darby

lol MHA isn't even that great of a show aside from the music but you're blind if you think Mob's characters aren't basic as shit which adds to the ease of animating movement. The same reason Toei chose to go less detail with the DB Broly movie - it allows much more freedom with animation.

Darby

it's considered one of the best adaptations BECAUSE Bones stayed faithful to the simplistic designs that ONE uses..

Argo2Unitard

Amazing, another opinion from someone who has no idea what the fuck they're talking about. You gonna go to a hospital and diagnose people next?

Mirrorline

Dimple have come back multiple of times before. They never showed that he get exorcised back during the broccoli arc. They showed him carry the tree away and that's it. We assume that he was dead and so was Mob. Then he explained how he managed to survive. I dont know why you are hating on him tho. Also, nobody know the identity of the person that destroyed the city besides Mob's friends some even thought it was natural disasters so im sure everyone kept their mouth shut so that nobody knows it was him that went berserk.

J

After this I think they'll be working on One Punch season 3 judging by the fight scenes in this season of Mob Psycho you'll probably already know that the animation gonna be 🔥

dom

why aint they watching this in dub

Darby

It's comical how you can be so angry over a comment while simultaneously missing the entire point of the comment. Bravo, you 'tard.

Luffy_77

Bro, Mob is by far better than any current mha seasons(not in general, just the seasons out so far), this season was the calmest season out of the three, and just cuz you don't like the art style don't mean it's bad, shit you got one piece goofy ahh art style that everyone falls in love with and still thousands of people dislike it, if you don't like Mob art style then cool, not like it'll stop being one of the top new gen anime

J

It’s in good hands but no news on release probably mid year of 2023?

Darby

Aside from the travesty of them animating Lemillion's stand against Overhaul after losing his quirk like a damn slideshow, they've stayed pretty consistent with how they animate MHA. Do I wish they could always animate at the level they did with Overhaul vs. Deku or Deku vs. Todoroki - for sure but with seasons that top 20+ episodes and span 6 straight months, I don't see that being realistic. Bones does great with what they have to work with in terms of One's art style but it just ends up falling flat for me. I've heard the story is incredible though and that's really all that matters in the end. I mean shit, Black Clover looked like fucking garbage for 50% of its run and I still love that show.

Darby

I don't think Mob's animation is bad, nor do I think it's a bad show. I've heard the story is amazing and Bones is extremely respectful of One's work. I just don't find the basic art style/character design appealing but it's what allows Bones to produce quality episodes consistently over its run.

N1ckv3n

Could you please watch the No Game No Life movie before the end of the year? It's a movie, not a series, it doesn't take long

Kisuke01

I don't have psychic powers but I'm one punch man that crater I created with my body is living proof

Mozart Waddell

It's because they started the show in sub. The only way they'll react to a show in dub is if it's either highly recommended by their editor Zemo or by us in the poll. Hope this clear things up. I did hear the dub was well received though.

dom

thank you mozart youve actually cleared it up for me

Mozart Waddell

Roshi your Tsubomi impression at the end was hilarious

MonarchXIII

That's just your opinion though. I personally think the sub is so much better

Darby

I edited my original comment to come off a little less dickish on my end and to explain my point better but either way, let 'em troll. Now that the show's over, it's the perfect time to just binge the series so maybe the story will allow me to overlook the character designs. Regarding MHA: the only season I really thought they dropped the ball on animation-wise was S5. The Class A/B tourney had some nice moments but the My Villain Arc was pretty bad imo which is disappointing. They did a decent job with Tomura's backstory episode but other than that, it was mediocre.

wavyesper

Cried my eyes out. One of the best anime of the decade

Prime

Animators have actually stated that the simple designs of Mob are much harder to animate than expected.

Devin B

@HIM one thing MAPPA definitely isn't doing is taking any breaks if they keep animating all these shows.

baja

Man, fck Dan machine. What's wrong with you thirsty mf

EZ

dimple was never exorcised so he was never truly dead

Rena

dragon quest: the adventure of dai (2020 tv series)

Randy Petitmaitre

So you're telling me tsubomi whatever her name is sat through all that shit just to tell my boi MOB no wtf she crazy 🤣🤣🤣

Orlandez Malone

Im a little confused. Why did Reigen confessing bring Mob back? I thought he already knew about him and his lack of actual abilities. Was it just the fact that he was confessing and his speech after that did it or did Mob seriously not know? I also think Dimple should've stayed gone. Maybe a flashback to him during that moment but it seemed kind of pointless for him to be back in the final episode

zILovePelmeni _

the scene with the cat made no sense at all, this whole arc was about accepting his powers and after that he still doesnt use them for helping a cat? And bringing dimple back to life made a little sense because dimples life energy comes from believing in him and mob never accepted his death and that caused dimple to not fully vanish as dimple himself explained

Vns Tsoom

will you guys watch Saiki Kusuo no SaiNan? it's really funny anime.

Mirrorline

I think its more about him saying it to him clearly. Because even after what happened back in s2 when Mob saved him during the interview that Reigen had, he still haven't actually say that he was a fraud.

Random Guy

The thing with the cat scene, it's not that he hasn't accepted his powers I think it was a subversion because even Ritsu looked confused, Mob doesn't always want to rely on his powers and it's shown right after because we see him still working with the body improvement club, a club he only joined in the first place because he wanted to be strong for Tsubomi but it's obviously become a personal thing. As for the Dimple thing, I think it's mainly because Dimple in the season was shown to draw power from belief so I think it's enough that Mob's own belief kept his spirit there.

MasonSage04

Him confessing didnt bring him back, it shocked ???% enough to listen to him as he would never expect that out of reigen, it was Reigens speech about peoples other sides and respecting yourself that brought him back

MasonSage04

You missed the point of mobs speech, mob said to ???% “no, i want you to accept me too” because Mob was the artificial self caused by locking himself away, they became one so it makes complete sense that mob would use him muscles hes working hard on

Rosinante

Lupa had me dyin right off the bat "impaled by building rebar" gdi

Blackbulls6

The hair thing was a callback to when mob’s brother first met Teru. So are we going to hashtag #RestoreTheSheeraCut to make dimple die permanently? 😂 her theory was better than the execution

Vincent S Deluca

Spirits exist based on the number of people who believe they exist. As long they aren’t straight exorcised they can come back/get stronger as long as people still believe in them. Mob still did so he wasn’t completely dead just hella weak and slowly coming back from lower orbit lol

関口信玄

Let's remember that Tsubomi wasn't phased by Mob's powers, and treated it as a normal thing. Even lost interest in them after a while. She built different.

関口信玄

"School is open?" Never heard of time skips?

Tyler

I was surprised people actually thought he died. Everyone should have known he was coming back lol

Mari

I don’t even like danmachi but you know its true though, it’s no way it’s not going to win the next trio poll, I really wanna see them react to Madoka magica or Goblin slayer

Hi How are ya

Yes MAPPA is doing one punch man season 3 this guy is confused bc the studio that did mob was BONES.

Jazko

spirits can exorcise other spirits so it was believed that he was “destroyed” with his last power was to wipe everyones memory and send the tree into space.

Oliver

Dimple is back i am happy

Bosastar

Damn it’s crazy how Mob ended

Kwaku Afari

Honestly I never got the impression Dimple died. I always thought he would be back.

Infinity

i mean she didn't say no she said "I don't see you in that way yet". I think his chances are good and she seems more like the slowburn type and has to have things build up. Hope they do like a final send off OVA or something down the line with a time skip a few years to let us see how things worked out for everyone.

Kumi Chan

Mob kept dimple alive through firm belief that he was alive.

starpathic

this is a good point and something I totally forgot about. we've seen it with the dragger and also that spirit from the first episode of this final season that grew based off negative emotions. and if normal human thoughts can give strength to spirits and keep them tethered in this reality than an esper like mob who is straight10x or more the most powerful espers we've seen should be able to keep dimple alive through sheer will. Ah maybe this is even why dimple wasn't exercised in season 1 when Teru tried to kill him for real. Mob simply did not believe dimple was dead and so he wasnt

DANIEL PEREZ

plus all mob did was fan over her never took that step to talk to her more and get to show her why he liked her.

Kay Goodman

This definitely one of my favorite anime. Intriguing, funny, and heartwarming. I'm glad they ended it well and didn't try to drag it out. Great series.

Rami Homsi

It's not really about guts though; Dimple being okay fits in line tit's with the tone and themes of the show

Rami Homsi

Hard agree, I hope they eventually put it on a poll or something. A dramedy like Barry would be perfect for this channel

L.C.

The amount of reactors that forget multiple things and past season events is wild to me. I have no problem watching multiple shows and keeping up with everything and also remember most of the past seasons of anime I have watched. Maybe its just me. The hair thing with Ritsu seeing the wig blowing is from a past event. He was just remembering it. It was brought up at a weird moment though.

L.C.

Also once again explaining it to another reactor channel the dimple thing was not a cop out. It was explained what goes on with spirits when you deeply believe in them and focus on them and try to make it as if they are real. Mob believed enough for dimple to gain power and return. It was literally in season 2.

Ohais

I mean, they understand that that's how it works. But it also makes his whole emotional death scene and sacrifice feel almost meanlingless when you look back on it. Almost all death scenes that end in resurrection in movies and shows feel like that. Like it's not a sacrifice if nothing's lost. Supernatural is the poster-show for that. Almost every character gave their life as a sacfrice for everyone's survival, and then was resurrected a little later. It just sort of makes the stakes feel non-existent

Matrim Hall

Axe Phoenix is the go-to cologne for any self-respecting middle school boy! You should know this, Roshi!

DANIEL PEREZ

it fine cause he did die but mob is so strong he could bring back people, ghosts or anything back dimple became more than a gag character. mob knows if dimple tried anything super bad he would smack him back or erase him. in any anime op MCs don really care of rules especially if they have reality bending powers.

Wolf

As other people said, it wasn’t about the fact that Mob (more then likely) had more then an inkling of a feeling that Reigen was a fraud. It was about Reigen letting go of his pride and actually admitting it to Mob out loud which ‘???’ didn’t expect from him, hence calling him a liar. More importantly, he helped Mob realize that instead of hiding and running from his ‘true nature’ and locking it away while thinking of it as a separate part of himself , he should realize that both parts are 100% him and he needs to accept that side of him rather then lock it away.

Nicole Guerrero

I’m gonna miss this show so much, nearly cried during this finale ;(

Zatch

It’s not about the mechanics of it, it’s the fact he’s back at all. It takes away from the meaning of his death earlier.

Zatch

Yes lmaooo the way it was written would definitely lend someone to believe that.

LeHarlequin .

Damn, how's seeing Mob laughing actually making me wanna cry? 😭😭😰😰❤️‍🔥
