We also gotta remember that this show isn't just about the relationships between carnivores and herbivores in society, but also about going through changes in high school. Legosi's learning about the difference between infatuation/lust and love, while figuring out his place in the school hierarchy and the world. It seems like the anger we saw in him at the end of the episode might have been a combination of him realizing his true feelings, and also his instinctual territorial nature as a wolf.

Unfortunately Legosi has lived his life suppressing himself. Keeping himself in check and always worried about others. He is extremely dense about himself and others while also being quite reflective on his actions. So he has no clue what he is feeling and he is bound to make unwise choices because he never really matured in a few ways.
