The patreon player has been ass for a lot of web browser users however it seems to have gone ultra instinct ass this past week. Constant buffering and fluctuations between low resolutions. Smooth brains at patreon made it harder to download videos as well... because apparently that is more important than fixing bugs with their webplayer people been reporting for years.

Especially since it impacts the dynamic between the two. Part of the reason David finds Ellie so special is because he was impressed with the way she handles herself during this segment and it adds a layer of trust between them (same reason Tommy trusts Abby in TLOU2).

Hey, hunter here, can confirm that yes you would want to bring down the prey in one shot. The meat doesn't get a chance to toughen up or "sour" from the adrenaline, plus it is illegal in many places to leave behind a kill which in worst cases can leave you chasing a buck 2+ hours into the bush. PS. that winter looks normal up here lol

There were many moments in this episode that reminded me a lot of the traditions and beliefs of the extremely evangelical neighbors I grew up around. Everyone in the family sits and waits for the man/head of the house to eat first (and he had a larger portion), the weird dynamic of calling abuse "love" and justifying violence with scripture, and the way David would just LOOK at someone when they questioned him and they would shrink up and go silent, echoing the sentiment I've heard for years and years that you should respect your elders/betters unquestioningly. And of course, the kicker, which is that he was bastardizing the religion for his own goals and selfish motivations the whole time. That he never really held those beliefs and certainly never practiced the forgiveness and compassion that he preached. Idk if that was purposeful on the part of the writers or if this is just cult behavior in general. Maybe that lack of distinction was the point.

Dude, the reason David didn't want her to die is because he wanted her as his new pet. He wasn't going to just leave them be after he left the first time, he was always going to come back, kill Joel, and take Ellie. He was confident that they couldn't escape very far because of the snow + Joel's injury, and he wanted to start to groom Ellie and make it seem like she can trust him. It's wild to me how you can't tell that's what he was planning to do. And okay, maybe you can somewhat justify cannibalism in the apocalypse, sure. Do whatever it takes to survive. But rape and pedophilia serve NO purpose in any context; the apocalypse has nothing to do with how fucked up he is. He even made a point of saying that he used to teach kids, that he has a "dark heart", and that he struggled with it before the apocalypse. I’ve heard actors apologize to the others on sets after acting out a vile character like these, as disgusting as this character is I can only give props to the actor for toughing out the role I don’t think I could do it even for the sole sake of acting.

Ohhhh regarding penicillin, intramuscular injection is an option that's the best. It has the least to consider for someone with no medical training in terms of adverse effects. Meds in veins work very strongly and very quickly, so you need to be able to calculate how much to inject over a certain period of time to not fuck up a patient.
