Yeah Father Juun isn't the usual arrogant Boss character, he does have the Wisdom that comes with age and it sucks to see Ah Sahm leading Young Juun down the potential wrong path for his own ends.. both brother and sister doing some fk shit man, lol. It is crazy how much more I like the majority of the supporting characters right now, even Leary. Leary is clearly a very complex character that isn't racist, he is trying to do what he can which happens to be violence to prevent the Chinese from taking all the jobs from the Irish that just fought the Civil War, so like he said, they have paid their dues to the country, and he said Black people have paid their dues as well since they were brought and forced to work as slaves, but then you can't blame the Chinese for taking all the jobs since they are making almost no money working in the factories... its all so complicated which does make it more interesting but sucks to be in any of their shoes in that time period.

Mai Ling continues to be the worst person in the show for me. Leary and Buckley a close second. I don't care about her looking out for her Tong that's acceptable. She literally works with Buckley weasley ass who whole agenda is to bring chaos to Chinatown. He won't them in headlines so he can make the whole population of Chinese suffer. Scary thing is Mai Ling is intelligent and she knows his endgame. Shes just looking out for her and her select few and damn all the rest of the Chinese. Trying to buy a lemon stand out to help her people. Fuck out of here you about to be the reason I can't get anymore lemons 😠

Same thing for me but at least with Leary and Buckley they know they're doing bad things for the sake of being bad. Mai Ling wants too much control of pretty much everything and like you said she puts up this front that she has the Chinese best interest at heart but she really only cares about herself.

I had high hopes for Mai Ling during the first 6 episodes. She didn't even apologized to Ah Samh for sanctioning his death. When she tried to justify her actions I was done. I'm hoping we get some character development from her and not cheesy easy cop out by having her character murder Buckley on a whim.
