this school arc feel like its gonna go crazy

Comments

OnePerson

Mushoki actually having an opening caught me all the way off guard lol

Weiss Schnee

School arc is peak mushoku tensei

Eric martinez

This is unironically peak romcom

Jazmyne Mattucci

i wonder if they plan to change his voice in this arc? like make it gradual or its just a new voice

Drakey

this is the PEAK arc, im so excited for it to be animated

Hakurei Oni

I really wanna see how far this goes, Rudy gonna treat Sylphy like one of the guys and give her slap on the ass "Nice hustle" lol

BrakerFluidAddict

I want to say that guy calling himself a genius was the kid that was in love with Eris in that one bonus episode in season 1 where Eris was like a goblin slayer or somethin. He confessed to her then she went on a tangent about how much she admires Rudeus

cyrus gudino

Just so you know that Cliff Grimoire guy who says he’s a genius was the guy from the OVA featuring Eris. He was trying to marry her pretty much, but she said because Rudy is pretty much better in every way so he clearly took it personal in this episode

Peter Tran

Cliff met ERis from the OVA remember?

danial javady

i hope rudy starts questioning his sexuality because he thinks fits is a guy

Silver
>>114732717

He did sorta make comments along those lines when he first met Sylphie when he thought she was male

ninjaguy Jr

Some important things - The black haired Sasuke dude (Cliff) is the guy from the Eris Goblin OVA. Thats how he knows Eris. Also Miss Silent is an entirely different character from Sylphy. Sylphy's full fake name is Silent Fitz but everyone calls her Fitz and everyone things Sylphy is a guy. When characters just say Silent or Miss Silent there are refering to another person. You better read this or you can just keep being confused and find out later :)

RuTo-San

Miss silent is another girl that they’ll introduce later on she’s a character we’ve seen before

Peter Tran

Miss Silent is a completely diffferent character

pee

Pretty sure Zanoba means someone else when he said Miss Silent, we saw 1 other person at the end of the last ep that we didn't see here

Vayne

the OVA that had Eris and that young boy was Cliff the black haired kid

Zerø

bro's like "am I, am I gay ?"

Devin B

If they were going to give this show an opening they should've changed the song cause hearing it without an actual opening just takes away from when we hear it in one.

Gilthwixt

"Fitz" making Rudy question his sexuality is probably the funniest shit of this whole arc.

Jr
>>114733027

Definitely could have ended that sentence at "later on"

RuTo-San
>>114733027

Bruh it’s not really a spoiler you’ll recognize her when they talk/introduce her.

Nelo_Lobo

Rudeus thought Slyphie was a boy when they first met too, so I can understand him fumbling his perception check here

Gordon Lou

it isn't a subtitle error, just english and japanese being confusing. Zanoba said the english word, "silent" when he referred to the person named "silent" while for silent fitz, "mugon no fitz" is said which is what it means.

Ricky Pereira

I just like how it’s a repeat of when Rudy met Sylphy when they were kids and he thought she was a boy then too😂

October
>>114733027

it is pretty fucking obvious who she is. The only reason you wouldn't know is if you forgot about season 1, it also doesn't help that they literally show her again at the end of the season 1 and last episode

Donovan Doyle
>>114733027

It is a big deal if the character gets introduced not wearing the accessory they had in s1

R-Jay

Black Hair Kid Definitely OVA Kid

TrixieTurner

Jesus christ I hate this secret identity bullshit, I hope they don't drag it our it's actually ruining the episode for me.

Overload

Sir whores charge for sex, she pays

NecDW4
>>114733570

RUDEUS! TURN ON KARMIC DICE, IM BEGGING YOU! NO! NO DONT START A NEW GAME ON HARD MODE!

Vayne
>>114733274

also someone mentioned it but the "Ms Silent" and "Silent Fitz" are 2 different people

danial javady

"I won't tell!" LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Grant Beaudette

When he first met Silphie, Rudy thought she was boy for like a year. Hopefully this one won't also end with him stripping her against her will

Godrick

least favorite arc in the whole series... that actually speaks to the quality of the story cuz its still not terrible.

Thev2g

Is that Power's VA from CSM voicing Linia?

Adamantite Momon

That OP was BEAUTIFUL, clever use of symbolism with birds…also the ED was so wholesome ☺️

Jacob The weird

Did they watch the OVA or did they really just forget? I’m not trying to sound mean I’m genuinely curious.

Thev2g
>>114734515

yesss! The different colored birds representing sylphie roxy and eris was chefs kiss

かもめのたまご

Miss silent is called silent in English and Fitz is called silent in Japanese so they are different.

luckywizard
>>114733027

They don’t know it’s someone they’ve seen before so yes you are spoiling dipshit

Thiivi

I really hope Sylphy has a reason why she's not telling Rudy who she is that will get explained in the next few episodes. If not, then I cannot think of a reason why she wouldn't tell him. Especially after he literally told her that she is the only person he's still looking for.

AnimeCam

my thing is why would a guy be hanging panties out to dry? and be on the side that only females walk. Bro cant but 2 and 2 together,

Ale

Wait, what the fuck did Sheera say about Cambodia LMAOOO

Ruin

I love magical school arcs magis was my favorite so I hope this one delivers the same.

Danny
>>114736341

bro i don't even know. She be saying the most out of pocket things some times but's it's funny as hell

Ruin

And omg whatever you guys are watching this on really censors the show he called her slutty as hell 💀💀 idk why they would do that

Freeofgreed
>>114732220

Goku is a whole ass grandad and still has the same voice he had as a kid. They ain't changing Rudy's voice.

Freeofgreed
>>114734198

This one episode was better than the all the episodes of the previous arc, so it can't be that bad.

jordanp63x2

A cool thing to note: Sylphie (Fitz) can use healing without incantation, thats something rudeus cant do himself

Andres Holguin

to clear it up, silent fitz and miss silent are two different people. As shown in episode 0 no one knows that sylphy is a girl but the princess.

Andres Holguin
>>114736294

She's a princess and maybe since her two bodyguards are both guys they are excluded from this rule?

FreshxEli Tv

Roshiiii 😂😂😂 I literally seen the sexy red tweet before watching this I’m in tearssss she dead ass tweeted that crazyy

TrinitytheApostle
>>114736341

Might have to do about the stream last night that- someone mentioned that the average peen size in Cambodia is 3.95 in

Jalani Abdul-Aziz

Can someone without spoiling ode please tell me if there is a reason why Sylphie is not telling Rudy that she’s Fitz. Like is it a major thing to come up cuz if it is then just say yes/no😭

Colonel

Sheera's portion of the intro is unmatched lol

Taveon Staten

Don't forget when they both first met and they got caught in the rain and went to Rudy's house Rudy thought she was a guy an took her shorts off

FreshxEli Tv

Wait a min HEAR ME OUT YALL What if Rudy Invited Fitz to his room to get some BOOTY but like He ends up Seeing the PUNANI and gets SOFT🤔🤔😂😂😂😂😂😂

22TheDon
>>114737712

I don’t remember but I thinks it’s because she’s afraid Rudeus won’t recognize her, but I’m not sure

Patcharapol Arunwatthanangkul
>>114737712

she has to keep up the "Mystery silent spell caster, the most powerful guardian of princess Ariel" persona rather than a countryside girl elf in love with her childhood friend.

Luhbabytay
>>114735463

If she don’t wanna tell him then she don’t wanna tell him, it’s as simple as that.

DocGreen
>>114734198

Well its also the longest arc this far. The school plays a big part throughout the rest of the series even past this arc. But this arc specifically is the more down to earth personal arc

Ranginald Vagel
>>114738417

That ain’t how it works, she’s a perpetually youthful elf and she works that out everyday that shit grips harder than a pro boxer’s fist

Rocksolo

I don’t know what she on but the dragon god made it pretty clear that Paul only was suppose to have two daughters originally 😂😂😂

Saiden
>>114737712

Imagine if the person you idolized for 8 years greeted you as if it's the first time you've ever met. What if they don't remember, even after you shove the wand they gave you in their face?

Yoru
>>114735299

In the light novel it confused me for a bit, but at least here we can hear them say it in English/Japanese to help. Bringing in two "new" characters at relatively the same time with the same title is rough.

Dede

‘Miss Silent’ and ‘Silent Fitz’ are two entirely separate characters. The choice of words for the subs don’t help with the distinction but remember ‘Miss Silent’ literally doesn’t attend anything school related as noted by Zanoba. Silent Fitz meanwhile is a known and active member of the school body, hence the popularity. No one knows Fitz is actually a woman, but that’s not the case with Miss Silent

ULTIMATE TROLL

Y’all need to get on arifureta that shit busts

Maroki R6

Black Hair genius kid is from the OVA that you guys watched where Kid Eris went adventuring by herself. She kicked Cliff’s ass, and boasted about Rudeus

Jalani Abdul-Aziz
>>114737712

If anything that’s more the reason imo 1: it’s been over 5-6years since I seen you and in that time there’s no way to know if they’re not dead already (yes they had the list of survivors but that shit was paper there’s no way for that to be 100% accurate or uptodate. Also can’t say Man God told him she alive cuz i don’t recall him asking for her status or location + she obviously don’t know Man God so in turn she couldn’t be sure HE was alive) 2: he last saw her when they were like 8 she had green hair and could barely use magic. Now a random ass elf BOY with WHITE hair pops up and you don’t wanna tell me it’s u?!

DevilMayCarter
>>114742406

While it doesn't reinvent the wheel or anything....it is one of the few S2s that improved.

Cameron Robinson

Show only: Even if Sylphie wants to tell Rudeus, the princess would probably veto that because she may not comfortable with that information getting out. The character of Silent Fitz is irreparably tied to the princess now, and if word gets out that it was a false persona, or the princess was coercing a teleported mage as a basically indentured servant/slave and keeping them from returning home; it could hurt the princess’s reputation. While we know that it is not the truth and that Rudeus is trustworthy, the princess does so I assume the secret will be kept until the princess learns to either trust Rudy’s or Sylphie goes against them.

The Anime Dude

Just like he saved Sylphy from bullies when they first met, Sylphy came in clutch here.

Cameron Robinson

Disturb Magic is what Orsted used on Rudeus in Turning Point 2 and we see him trying to learn it in the next episode. Now he has it mastered and it may be a taboo or rare spell seeing how everyone was reacting and that Fitz didn’t know it after, I am assuming, studying magic for awhile.

Leon

lol I just realized that when Rudy was surrounded getting called a pervert and all, that he was probably getting PTSD from his previous life when he was bullied.

Saiden
>>114737712

You've got a good fix on why Rudy would want Sylphy to tell him, now imagine yourself as Sylphy and re-read my message. Sylphy doesn't have our or Rudeus' knowledge.

albert rodriguez

there is a difference when they say silence and silent fitz one say it in english silence and another in japanese when they say silent fitz

Chef MellowD

Wait, so nobody is asking why fitz wears panties? Or why the girls were just okay with it when “he” said they were “his”? Or why fitz was in that dorm….Or why fitz isn’t exempt from being outside on the girls side after sundown?

lyssa

I still wanna see what’s up with zenith ngl

Ethan Galarza
>>114744429

They think it’s the princess’s panties, and to answer your second question it’s because they’ve to stay by the princess side for protection so they’re the exception.

Emiliano Ruiz Chong

Regarding the situation between Cliff and Eris. I don't know if either you don't remember or you didn't watch it, but there was an OVA where they meet, make acquaintances and Eris shows off. Nothing else.

Cody
>>114744429

Because Fitz says they are the princess' and he was washing them and dropped them out the window on accident when hanging them to dry.

Kami_Psy

Cliff is the boy from the OVA you guys watched with Eris putting in work

Cody
>>114734198

As long as there is no Eris I'm sure it'll be fine. I really can't stand her

Luffy_77
>>114742406

I liked the plot and characters but the animation is just unbearable and it just won't make a good reaction, there's better shit out there for them to watch like Danmachi

Luffy_77
>>114737712

She's just afraid that Rudy doesn't remember her or that he won't care that she's Sylphie, its the same concept of someone not telling a girl/boy they like them cuz they're afraid the other person doesn't feel the same way yk

Luffy_77
>>114738104

Bro holding back tears trying not to spoil lmaooo I feel you bro but don't worry the show will bring that back on it's own lol

Luffy_77
>>114734158

Wow I never even thought about that, just gives more insight on the stuff that happens later thats a great detail!!

Luffy_77
>>114734763

Bro the OVA was like a year ago and they watch liked 50 shows a year just as an estimate so can't blame them for forgetting a lot of details on this and other stuff they watch

Saucy Jonathan

Y’all need to watch gurren laggan I be y’all will like it

L.C.

Can someone please correct them on all of the shit they forgot and glossed over in this episode cause they were too fuckin busy throwing out joke after joke. They completely glossed over the catgirl being the daughter of the chief in doldia village which is the same village all those furry people were at in season 1. They completely forgot about the OVA episode. Multiple things just screwed up about this reaction

L.C.
>>114738120

You sound like some 12 year old kid. You old enough to pay for this subscription? Cause that is a joke a 12 year old would make.

L.C.
>>114748942

When fitz asked if he was here to study the teleportation disaster sheera automatically assumes and says "nope" after rudy made it aware a good couple of times that he was there to study the disaster and fix his ED.

Jr. Martinez

I’m with roshi in this I would have known who tf that is change your hair color idgaf 😂 I would know my women and especially with that response “I won’t tell “ that’s no guy shit 💀

ThatOneGuy

Not Rudy and Sylphie reliving their how we became friends story again lol

Oliverson

just a bit of context. There are two "silent" students. Fits (sylphie) and another.

N1ckv3n

I hope you read the comments to remind yourself of all the things in this episode that you didn't remember or pay attention to

Jamie See

Yall not gonna watch new ending too.

TimmSchmimm
>>114748942

bro they watch like 4 episodes of different shows every day... I think roshi is actually someone who is pretty crazy at remembering those small details in most reactions, but sometimes it just happens that they dont remember smth.

olle spengler

disturb magic is the spell orsted used on him that he copied and learned. Zanoba is from ep 20 with the prince that kidnapped him and hes the one whos a statue fanboy, who had a the roxy figure. and cliff is from the eris goblin ova. also there are 2 Silents

MARK BRADSHAW

It's crazy to think this is the first ep that has an opening sequence

Hipuno

I think some of the subtext from the duel scene got a little lost in the adaptation, but originally they embellished quite a bit more on the gap between rudeus’ practical application of battle magic and the hogwarts classroom kid magic they got going on with most students at ranoa. Its as if you had a kid who’s the best in his PE class at basketball go and ball up against a guy who’s been playing pickup in a few parks with grown ass adults everyday for the last 5 years. They seemed to condense the point down to rudy mentioning that sylphie’s hand are soft like they've never held a weapon as if to say she hasnt had to fight to live before and it shows.

JsnSkg

FUCK FOREVERRRRRRRRRRR Yeah, 15 is adulthood in this world. It's like this world's version of 18, so basically Elinalise is saying, "I could use some FRESH 18 year olds to fuck." LOL.

JsnSkg
>>114748942

I watch 20+ anime per season. I can remember shit just fine. It's actually not that difficult. Maybe they just don't have that brain capacity, which sucks, but oh well. Also, a whole village is not a small detail. Doldia was a multiple episodes. There's no way a person can completely forget that shit, unless they're actually quite literally stupid.

JsnSkg

The irony (and nostalgia) of Rudy assuming Sylphie is a boy again. XD But this time it makes more sense, given that's her public identity as Fitz. But man was it frustrating her not revealing herself to him. I hope they don't do this silly song and dance for too long. I need them to have a proper reunion asap. I highly doubt he's gonna figure it out himself unless something EXTREMELY obvious happens. Her hair is different, she's covering her eyes with big shades, and her voice probably sounds a bit more mature and confident since he last saw her.

JsnSkg
>>114752865

That's a great way of putting it. Really puts things into perspective. Yeah some subtext stuff is a little tricky to portray in anime without a narrator or something, but in some situations even that might be weird or awkward.

JsnSkg
>>114737095

I thought that was pretty obvious af. Idk how they didn't get that lmao. Silent Fitz is called Silent Fitz, or just Fitz. Nobody has ever referred to "him" as "Miss Silent." Literally wouldn't make any sense for just one person to be like, "Miss Silent" out of nowhere. So using common sense, that makes them different people. Lmfao how could it be a subtitle error if they literally said, "Silent-sama," do they not use their ears here??? XD

JsnSkg
>>114742305

But they literally say "silent" both times, in Engrish. Has nothing to do with subs. This is just a whole common sense thing and simply using your brain.

JsnSkg
>>114743098

But it's not for the princess to decide who Sylphie wants to reveal herself to? Lol. She could literally explain the whole situation to him, and he'd just not tell anyone. Easy. But whatever. They better not keep up this bullshit for long, though, cuz this kind of thing gets mad annoying real fast.

JsnSkg
>>114744429

Fitz never said they were "his" panties. Did not say, "my panties" ever. Just that "he" was hanging them out to dry. So OBVIOUSLY, being close to the princess, they belong to the princess (in the eyes of other people). Pretty easy assumption to make.

Eugine Hasselhoffner

To explain the "Miss Silent" part: Miss Silent and Silent Fitz are two different people. The reason this is so confusing for many people, including me when I first read the light novel, is because in the original Japanese, Sylphie's alias was 無言のフィッツ (Mugon no Fittsu) which means "Fitz of Silence," or better, "Silent Fitz." In contrast, Miss Silent's name is the English word 'Silent' even in the original Japanese light novel (Except it's spelled with katakana). This makes it a very awkward translational artifact where two characters have distinct names in the Japanese, but remarkably similar names in the English, and no really good way to fix it.

zILovePelmeni _

yall forgot literally everything from s1 haha

Gorge Montoya
>>114737712

In the light novel and manga, at this point you don’t know that Sylphi is Fitz. In the LN they even make it a mystery to the point that when they slowly start dropping chapters that reveal that Slyphie is in the magic academy, she herself refers to Silent Fitz as if it was a separate person. After the reveal, you can go back to the chapters and read the comments as Sylphie speaking about her persona, Silent Fitz.

zILovePelmeni _
>>114757900

??? they forgot about the beastfolk, disturb magic, Cliff and that slyphies wand is actually rudys wand he gave her

Philbo
>>114757900

I was about to say too lol they forgot a lot more than that lol 😂

Kevin Brown

This is exactly what happened in S1 when Rudy met Sylphie. He thought she was a dude. Rudy gonna cure his ED by getting Sylphie naked again in some ridiculous way. I've not read any light novel or manga. I just feel like that's the direction this is going 😂🤣😂

i2agnerok

Lupa’s face was my exact reaction to sexy reds tweet 😭😭

Zachary Provenzano

why i think he is falling for "him" is because dude has Erectile Disfunction, a broken heart, and truama. Maybe his mind is like "wait if i cant get hard is it because im not into girls as much?" Idk just a thought idk LOL but im sure that will change soon lol

Lucius Reinhard

Idk if this world is actually super comfortable with transgender people and its just normal or if it totally slipped rudeus’ mind that a “guy” is washing “his” panties and lives in the girls’ dormitories

SupremeCai

Not me spamming refresh on the page waiting for 🕷️🧍🏾‍♂️

Douglas Wolfe
>>114783620

The big chick says that they are the Princess' underwear, it is unexplained why they werent upset that Fitz was there in the dorm but it may be that as princess' guard he would be an exception to the girls only thing.

シュモーク
>>114783620

They said they belonged to the princess, "he" is her bodyguard/attendant and probably does her laundry.

Walking Stick
>>114783620

But it was the princess's panties, both her attendants are male so they gonna have to accept that.

WeavyBoo
>>114737095

JsnSkg Bro are you full on listening to the Japanese while reading subtitles? Do you do that perfectly 100% of the time? Give them a break that they didn't completely catch the details and nuances of something spoken in a completely different language this once time

S
>>114748942

Nah, you don't have expanded brain capacity, you just watch the same shit multiple times because you watch reactions so you remember stuff better.

The Zany Spirit

"That's some Gear 5 shit." Now that's some clownfoolery.

Damarcus Miller

Jesus I’m not even going to say anything about remembering characters again😭 good reaction…

Damarcus Miller
>>114795153

@13:57 yeaaa roshi when did he see ERIS!? Lmfao man can’t lie watching this episode had me a little irritated 😭 catgirl also slipped your minds.. how did you forget about a whole arc, when they helped that village(It was legit 4-5 episodes) ?? The boy was also in the OVA? On to the next episode 💯

Damarcus Miller
>>114748942

@L.C I feel your pain watching this reaction😂😂😂 atleast Lupa remembered the nigga with the statue.. that’s the only person they remembered out the three of them

SY MMS

Sylphie boutta have my man rudy think he gay for no reason😭

Zee Wrld

Cliff is the guy that was with Eris in the special ep after she left.

Kevin Kovacs
>>114734763

I mean they watched at least 10 different shows since the OVA plus some other ones in their own time.

T.E. Stroud

“I won’t tell” :D Ya’ll missed a lot of shit, though, but whatever. Some mfs are overreacting and pretty disrespectful in these comments.

Skebaba
>>114733027

Yeah, unlike Silent, which is SAID IN ENGRISH, whereas Silent Fitz is technically just a nickname, and is in Japanese (Mugon no Fittsu). This is kinda on the 3 for not listening to the audio tbh

Skebaba
>>114733615

I personally blame it on not leaving the 2 as is, without translating (i.e Silent is Silent, Fitz is Mugon no Fittsu)

Skebaba
>>114734158

I presume not, given by now she should have the horni for him, so it's bound to be more consent-oriented

Skebaba
>>114736294

Correct. You can't say to a ROYAL "no you can't be protected while inside the dorm REEEEE" now can you? They literally bodyguard Ariel 24/7, even while at the dorm, thus they need to be inside the same personal area or at the very least in rooms surrounding her room

Skebaba
>>114737095

Yes I am, at least when it comes to names, even if I don't actually understand most of the sentences, just words here & there. Names are kinda obvious, since they said Silent IN ENGRISH, those kinda stand out even if I'm not paying that much attention to the audio per se, because my brain suddenly reacts to the non-Japanese sounding word being used. Listening to audio while reading subs ain't that hard, there's a reason we have both eyes AND ears, instead of 2-in-1 sensory organs...

Skebaba
>>114742305

No they DON'T. They use Mugon no Fittsu when referring to Silent Fitz, then "Silento" or w/e the katakana is actually written as when romanized, when namedropping miss Silent

DJ Muldrow

The black haired kid is from the OVA Eris saved him but turned him down because rudeus is the love of her life

☆～Nyaa～☆

Yeah, the anime never explained the thing with Elinalise, ya'll got spoiled previously.

Empathizer

Got Rudeus wondering if he's bi LOL

Alex

Nah, she's nasty like that as well.

Jake McGrevey
>>114817536

Yeah she comes in the room talking about the goblins and sees rudi depressed about the fight with Paul

HessianX

Disturb Magic was dragon god's special move from last season.

Pedro Barrera

I guess some already told but just to update comment, Cliff is the guy of the special episode where Eris rejected a guy (Cliff)

KeYo

so wait nobody questioned why mister fitz was hanging his panties out to dry? i guess its a school where nobody ask lol

Wild
>>115237205

somethings are just too weird to ask and you'd rather not question them, im sure u had those situations in school, cause i know damn well i did

Josh Mr.Fire
>>115237205

Sylphie said she was hanging the panties after it was established that they belonged to the Princess. Fitz is close to the princess, so the dots connect

Daniel Robb
>>115237205

Fitz does the princess' laundry maybe?? Idk how that went over your head 😅

SilverX7

Wow, I just put together the red, blue, and green feathers/birds in the OP is Roxy, Eris, and Sylphie. That’s good shit right there
