I did some searching and the lowest temp Rukia said was -273.15 degrees Celsius which is about 459.67 degrees Fahrenheit. The baseline temp of space is 454.81 degrees Fahrenheit, so Rukia basically put him in space temperatures for a second.

-274 C° is actually know as “absolute 0” because it is the coldest temperature possible. Heat as a concept is simply friction between atoms. High temps imply highly energized atoms. Absolute 0 is the point in which atoms have no energy in a given space. Essentially, like Rukia said, everything that cold is “dead” including things that weren’t really alive to begin with.

I do wonder how Kubo would have written this battle if Byakuya had stayed dead. Rukia was always gonna be the one to kill Äs Nödt, that much seems obvious. Fighting him and earning Byakuya's approval, as opposed to fighting him to avenge Byakuya's death, seems more in character for Rukia, but I would have been fine if she wanted revenge. She was gonna get closure from this fight regardless. If I had to guess, Kubo had two paths laid out. Rukia would either overcome her insecurities, or she'd surpass her deceased brother.

nah keeping byakuya alive ruined this moment. It could have been a beautiful moment of rukia coming into her own instead it's not her moment is byakuyas with rukia being present she would of lost the fight without his intervention instead of overcoming it herself. It's bad writing and no amount of cope will change that.

I'd be pretty annoyed if I was an anime-only viewer who managed to stay spoiler free all these years only to see spoilers for future episodes in the comments. I feel that similar to As Nodt's VA, Gremmy's VA will play a huge part in next episode. Gremmy in the manga was a super talkative person. He had a joy and arrogance in explaining his power. As the fight progress, you saw him venture into a new "uncomprehensible" understanding of his power. Kubo did a decent job trying to portray it thru text but I feel the VA's work can really take it into another level to make the experience more rounded to the viewer.

I do remember people having a bit of an issue with the counter to fear on how Rukia made herself basically an ice zombie, but I've seen enough ridiculou anime logic to not care that much. There is one good thing about Shiranoyuki’s bankai. Pretty much everything within that blast radius is frozen to the molecular level. Pretty sure Byakuya had to flash step out of there to not get caught in the blast. So the chances of anything surviving, or moving fast enough to close the distance between the outer radius of the blast and the center before she thaws, is extremely slim.

Fun fact. The exact temperature of absolute zero is -273.15c and the closest scientists have gotten in a lab is -272, getting close to -273. Theoretically it's impossible to hit -273.15 though since even the "warmth" or energy from a star light years away is enough to prevent temp from hitting that low, even in space. If temperature was to hit that low, matter in that temperature would be destroyed because atoms would break down.

If we're gonna start talking about science in a real way, then no, absolute zero doesn't "destroy" atoms. Matter cannot be created or destroyed, it only changes forms. Particles will slow until a practical stand-still at absolute zero conditions, not break apart like they're disintegrating from a thanos snap. Absolute zero is not some kind of apocalyptic event that shreds atoms, it's just the absence of disorder/energy in a system.

I need to know wtf is going on with Uryu. Since the beginning of the show it's only been a few days from episode 1 to now cuz the Quincy King talked about how hes gonna destroy the world in 9dys and the quincies came back to soul society only a few days after the first attack. Uryu was still friends with and hanging out with Ichigo at the beginning of the season, so in a matter of days he went from being friends with Ichigo and the other soul reapers to finding out about the quincies, deciding fuck my friends, joining the quincies and deciding he's gonna help them kill all his friends?!?! This makes no sense. He just woke up one morning and decided to team up with some people he ain't never met a day in his life and kill all his friends for no reason because what? He was bored and had nothing else to do that day? He just came to this conclusion outta nowhere in a matter of days. I'm hoping he's on some undercover type shit cuz it's not making sense
