It's Jrs fault for fighting them without knowing about them completely. Baki's circle of fighters will fight regardless of their condition at any moment which is why they accepted fighting the prisoners. They will run it back if they have to. I think Jr fighting his Dad will maybe make his understand it.

Considering doppo kept fighting after his hand was cut off getting mad at the boxer not being up to the same seems one sided, jr gets destroyed because hes not in the same class and all his early fights work to delude the notion that his a list in skill but the new kaiohs were weak by everyone elses standards so his best claim to fame was worth less then nothing. Jr just knocked em out and walked off. Jack showed how you finish fights in baki, something jr whos a sportsman in mindset failed to do amd thus got demolished. Frankly top boxers were made fodder in universe midway during the maximum tournament after tyson got folded during his later match. Even a faster younger version of ali is just a stepping stone for the ridiculous monsters in baki. Think its also worth noting kozue says during this episode that i dont mind meeting you for lunch but thats all you should expect from me, she maintains solid boundaries that this aint a date lol.

Although Ali jr's chin checks are very effective, there's nothing deadly about him. A move like that works in an arena with rules, but we've seen the extent other baki characters go through to win a real fight. These mf's are monsters fr. Bro really isnt cut out for their world. He was so cocky, running around and challenging everyone to a sparring match. I cant wait for yall to reach the newer seasons, shit is nuts

Just my 2 sense, they doing Ali Jr like this because he thought he was hot shit basically. (As a Blackman myself you hate to see it) He basically sped ran through the the old heads but those weren’t (real fights) due to this shows standards. Mfs was fighting with bombs and hidden blades, cut off limbs etc.Kozue being the way she is will be cleared up. Also with fight with his dad, Ali Sr got his body broken down by Junior when he was old and already messed up Jr just made it to the point he drooling on himself. So with Ali Sr coming for his fight it kinda signifies that he’s doing the exact thing he did to him in a way. Overall very “eh” story arc and writing but it’ll wrap up decently

Junior has been approaching each battle as a ‘match’, rather than as a ‘fight’ which is the problem here and now it’s royally coming back to bite him in the ass. Doppo even hints at this in his shit talking: instead of beating each opponent so bad, they would NEVER want to face him again (case and point: how Jack dealt with him), Junior just got the wins and called it a day, allowing each person to come back and get even. It’s the reverse of the prison arc situation, and if any of the main characters approached the fights with those psychopaths as a ‘simple match’ we would equally call them out as idiots. None of these people are sportmen, and they certainly don’t give a damn about things like sportsmanship and honour. It’s a street fight, anything and everything is fair game. It’s a hard lesson that has been shown since the very start of the prison arc, that treating these encounters like matches (and not fights to the death) is a recipe for disaster. Especially for a character like Junior who has only really dealt with fights in a sporting/official capacity.

I think the point is that JR is convinced hes the strongest and acts like it, but he's an Arena fighter and hasnt earned that yet. He only fights in top condition and never truly to the death. Orochi, Shibukawa, Jack, Baki, etc are all hardened martial artists, they fight in whatever condition they happen to be in (Like Baki fighting on the brink of death poisoned lol) injured or otherwise, its not expected that you will always be at the top of your game.

This was a lesson for Mohammad ali jr basically he thought he he could fight these top combatants and think shit was sweet lol these dudes are ruthless they fight whether they are injured or missing limbs it’s not really shocking that they wanted a run back. Pretty sure this way of thinking was established in season 1 of Baki.

This arc is basically about Jr's growth. He's going thru Baki's journey in reverse. Learning what it really means to be strong and fight. The earlier clappings were them playing by his rules. If they play by his rules he's a great arena fighter but he's not truly strong as exposed by his constant lying. It's going to only get worse for him soooooooo hope you weren't riding on homeboi lol.

Damn people are so butthurt about this episode wtf, its not that deep XD. Pretty much every character so far got hyped up like crazy just to get destroyed and humiliated for no reason in other fights. Prisoner arc was the exact same, especially the last guy (vacuum martial art thingy) got 3 or more episodes of build up as the final boss who is actually about to kill the whole cast just to get slapped around like a little bitch on the floor begging and all that shit. Even after that his supposedly revenge arc was denied and he got shit on even further. Ali jr is not supposed to represent the usa or smth ppl in the comments are legit so butthurt and hurt on a peronsal level like damn.

Doppo's explanation was definitely poorly worded, but he was basically explaining that everyone in Baki's league are ready to fight regardless of the situation. Remember that in the Death Row arc, not only did they all agree to fight when and where ever the inmates pulled up, but several of them got seriously injured and either kept fighting or came for a run back while still recovering. They're basically showing Jr that if he wants to be able to fight Baki then he needs to either be strong enough to never get hurt or be able to recover quickly and keep fighting.
