We know what was in the envelope, I'm gonna paste this comment talking about it: Regarding Sodachi's letter, there was a Chinese article back then that discovered what was in it. It's a bit of a long process but you'd need the actual physical light novel to solve it, Senjou's texts are the puzzle, and it relates to the positioning of the Kanjis and shit. You have to read it sideways too. Long story short, the puzzle, when solved, becomes "Youishite yobe", which roughly translates to "Call/contact/invite when you're ready". Hitagi's weird texts is telling Koyomi to contact Sodachi when he feels ready. I'll link the reddit post that explains it better: https://www.reddit.com/r/araragi/comments/aa353s/spoiler_solving_the_riddle_of_sodachi_letter/ TL:DR - Sodachi left her phone number in the envelope.

Homura

"I'm looking for a girl who's lost. That is, in the end, how it all begins." 20:03 Ougi is referring to Nadeko here, she is the one who told Nadeko that the talisman from S2 is in Araragi's room. At the end of Season 2 Kaiki speculates that she's the one responsible.

Homura

Hanekawa and Araragi are third years, Third Year Highschoolers in Japan can generally choose to be absent regularly because they're meant to be focusing on studying for University entrance exams so prep schools like Naoetsu High don't mind if you take time off as long as fulfill a quota of attendances. Since Hanekawa isn't planning to go to university right away she can kinda do what she wants with that time.

Vueko

I'm gonna drop some explanation here, I'm pretty sure its not spoilers or anything like that, just stuff that may of been more clear if you guys knew the timeline of the show and had notes. In a conversation with Nadeko, Ougi said herself she was looking for Hachikuji but couldn't find her, that was after Hachikuji passed on during the darkness arc, which is why she couldn't find her. Also back in the arc with Nadeko before she went full snake god, Ougi seemed to have some part in Nadeko becoming a god. The scene at the end of this episode takes place right before Ougi goes to talk to Nadeko, as seen by the scenery. The timeline for this show is real confusing unless you write down the dates of the arcs, which are usually shown on the first ep of the arc. You guys already enough on your plates with all the other shows to worry about all the smalls details of this show so don't worry about keeping track of everything.

Oikura's house was already stank as fuck because of all the random piles junk lying literally everywhere. As dark as this sounds, the rotting corpse and eventual bones would fit right in. I hear the light novel describes her house in a bit more detail.

Ice

Explaination for the weird confusing hair scene: Ougi kept insulting Hanekawa that she's grown weak and isn't as much of a genius as she used to be. To disprove this, Hanekawa washed the dye out of her hair to show that she HAS changed (the white hair representing her character development, as established back in Nekomonogatari Shiro), but that her status as someone very intelligent HASN'T changed because she's still smart enough to solve the horrifyingly dark mystery within 10 seconds. TL;DR - Essentially, Hanekawa was proving that even though she's changed, she hasn't become weak.

PolarToni

I highly recommend Talentless Nana, you guy's would love it :)

Explanation for what was written on the letter. You have the know japanese in order to figure out the riddle but they were giving hints in senjougahara's texts. Putting those hints together it translates to "Call/Contact me when you're ready." Sodachi doesn't just vanish without a trace. She leaves him her contact.

Mahir

ya'll i just saw they had talk to me on the list that is on youtube can someone tell me when it is?

Sun

drop the new frierun episode today too bbg.

Danny

I always just interpreted that scene as Hanekawa cooling her brain so she could think better. Have i been wrong all these years? 😅

Near

hopefully next ep this week is coming too :D

man I remembered this, It was the first time I was so pissed on a cliffhanger, like a literal cliff without any continuation or answer that is shown on screen like on the next episode, so I went full hackerman mode and just surfed through the internet to find this answer, and boy it was the most satisfying thing I did for an anime cliffhanger

the best part of a story that doesnt spoonfed you everything that happened on screen, there's no correct answer. The "washing her hair to show the tiger stripes signaling her character growth and that she is still on her peak form even after all this time" answer sounds cooler cuz it's deeper, but yours are also correct

Oisif

it pains me to see them skip the opening again lmao... but man, really thank you. Your reactions gave me a chance to relive the sodachi arc, the arc that made me an absolute fan of the monogatari franchise

Episode 1 of that was wild when it first dropped. Doubt they'll ever do a season 2 but I'll probably read the manga.
