Oh mb bro ? Did that hurt your feeling brother ? Lmfao why y’all so butthurt over none aggression comment, bro so soft for no reason

Kyle Pacanowski

I think they're maybe half-sisters or something.

poisonivybag

So glad you're enjoying the show! I loved how they did Maomao's scary face, it's a little different in the manga but the split second screen here was very effective. The mystery will only get better with different characters Lakan, Maomao's mum and Suirei 👀

DjCve

I'm so glad Roshi said something cause: 1) Same eyes 2) Same resting bitch face 3) Same flat-chest-ednes that Maomaos mom has But yeah, it looks like he knocked her up, to survive she had to start selling her body which in turn made her sick eventually, such a fucked up story I really like how they did Maomaos "fuck no" face too, I read it a few weeks ago cause I couldn't wait to find out and that whole manga page gave me the chills

DANIEL PEREZ

if jinshi really wanted he could just have laken killed by "accident". he is high enough that even if someone found out he could use the he was trying to overthrow the emperor. but if jinshi does that any chance of him being with mao mao is gone, cause of their status. also mao mao's mother was raped and even if she fought back lakan would have not just her killed but pairing, mei mei, and joka too. it all goes back to the if you are high enough you can get away with your shit for long enough.

Qwerty

10:37 wth was that😂😂you lot were in sync

nb butthurt its just common sense. and if u been in the community long enough youd know not to ask sum thats been answered the same way everytime asked.

romeo
>>129516827

I can’t even ask a question now ? 😂 are you like 10years old ? Or are you special in some kind of way ? I paid for the sub and I asked simple question that’s it. You’re the reason why community like this are toxic for no reason it needs to be.

Sean Taylor

Only show on the schedule Ian watch should I start from ep 1?

Elicia Mitchem

Please watch The Dangers in my heart

Adiuva
>>129516827

They are EST and today is still Monday, so likely sometime within the next 6 hours unless they state otherwise.

Chris Hee

My guess is Suirei might be Suiren's daughter? Because if it follows Chinese naming patterns, they have the same last name? which means Maomao may have worn her old clothes, last episode hahaha

Molly 80

Ngl this episode was really f’d up. Lakan need to go asap I’m not sure why jinshi can’t have him arrested for conspiring behind the scenes and seems like a threat to the emperor.

Gilthwixt

Mannnn I prefered calling this show "House + Law & Order + Downtown Abbey" but y'all had to just slap "Maury" on it 💀

Gilthwixt
>>129522350

Absolutely. I mean, I feel like most shows you should always watch from EP 1 if you can, but this show especially since it's part-mystery thriller.

Shiratoshi

Lakan doesn’t want Maomao for anything nefarious right?

Ash

Send Lakan straight to jail

DjCve
>>129519221

I'm not sure what's their policy about promotion of other web sites, so in order not to get myself clapped I'ma just say google the show name and add "manga online" at the end

Starscreamer

The placement of the hair in her face....Maomao's mother's nose is probably decayed off due to the disease.

Earphone Jack

MaoMao’s death glare was not that scary in the manga. I literally went “Woah!” and had to rewind it to make sure what I saw was what I saw. 😭

Earphone Jack
>>129519221

Yeah, when I first read that manga page, I was like “Jinshi, protect her!” Then here in the anime I was like “Woah!” because it was more scary here.

YoungSalsa

Spoilers: Lakan the best character and best backstory #GOAT

Shin splits
>>129525580

From what they’ve said Lakan is a high ranking military officer and quite accomplished too. So having his arrested without concrete evidence doesn’t seem like the best move

Kisuke01

"I heard you're an Apothecary how good are you?" "I'M THE GOAT"

DjCve
>>129519221

Honestly the animation and VAs are doing a great job so far, so I felt bad reading ahead, but I have 10 volumes of the LN ready as soon as the season ends

poisonivybag
>>129523847

There's also the fact that Suiren is quite old and has basically raised Jinshi his whole life. Having a young daughter at her age wouldn't really be possible.

lyssa

I’m all caught up now

Alex Villa

Naw because I was like damn mao mao life is so wild and full of tea. Shes just like me, having crazy ass family and friends and the drama that comes along with it lol all us minorities be livin through the crazy ass drama and situations and some of us just end up weird because of it lmao

Alex Villa

I hope you guys eventually check out a sign of affection it’s such a cute romance anime 💖 the animation is beautiful and the characters are great. Hope when you guys have a slot open you’d check it out 🥰✨

Rajah Williams
>>129520417

Lakan has a higher status than you think. There's a reason that Jinshi can't do anything about him. Also there's more to Lakan. You may feel different about him after seeing his backstory.

Skebaba
>>129523847

Yeah Suiren is basically old enough to have served 2 gens already as an aide of sorts. I mean she must be rly high up as far as nobility goes w/ also enough tenure to have been entrusted w/ the (supposed) Crown Prince (since the Emperor rn has no male offspring, ergo the younger brother is the interim Crown Prince as per imperial hierarchy of succession) all the way from infancy

Skebaba
>>129525580

Especially since the shit he's done so far has been to commoners (i.e literal nobodies. As per feudal hierarchy, anything a commoner would say vs a noble would be treated as lies, because all commoners can do is lie & complain, only a Noble is honorable enough to speak truth instead of lies), so there's not much you can do system wise, especially given his high utility (it might be a different case if he was lower nobility & a useless sack of shit w/ practically 0 competence)

Gabriel Sanchez

I didn't take it as maomao being jealous or showing emotion towards him but more of being asked about devaluing. She doesn't care about jinshi really

Dooly
>>129639289

Don’t think they’ve done a shojo series, have they?

Brobi-Wan Kenobi

Maomao wasn't jealous. Her thought about being able to pull off the conversation without showing any emotion was because Jinshi asked a question about a subject she is sensitive to (how to lower the value of a courtesan). Also for right now at least I'm pretty sure she doesn't like him like that at all. Currently she doesn't even think she's capable of loving someone.
