Tamara Palmer

Fun Fact: Maya Erskine, who plays Mrs. Smith in the show , is also the voice actress of Mizu from Blue-Eye Samurai. Her career is taking off and it’s awesome!!

sfxyor

Kai Lee

James Stephenson

"I don't remember the silence being this long" my dumbass not realizing I paused the video 😂😂😂

Jazmyne Mattucci

ngl, John's breasts are mad distracting and not in a sexual kinda way. Like a 'damn bro your big ol milkers just out' kinda way.

faded
>>129624813

Realistically i‘m sure he has the money for a better PC 😂 just think about the Patreon money alone

Renni .

heeeeheeeee

Oni Legend
>>129626162

Nah that nigga was dripped out both here and in the last couple seasons of Atlanta

Spriggz
>>129624876

Even funnier because I was thinking of Mizu when she said she was half asian and half white lol

Myla Mason

Hopefully yall see this but the girl who plays Jane is Mizu in Blue Eye Samurai I wanted to point that out

ninjaway478

Maya Erskine (Mrs. Smith) is the voice of Mizu in Blue Eye Samurai

Tamara Palmer

Ironically she (Maya Erskine) is actually half-Japanese and half-Scottish. Her birth mother is from Tokyo, Japan while her father is descended from Scotland.

X-Kun

I was BORN in 2005 bruh

KarlWittaC

I don't think the hair thing was extra. They are supposed to look convincingly like a couple. She is supposed to play it off. Also, they should know something, anything about each other if someone were to try to verify their relationship.

Alexander Szabo

I did not realize Mr and Mrs Smith was getting a series lol

Alexander Szabo

Wth I just watched the 2005 movie with my parents a few days ago lol

Jalan

Actually the first two were not the Brad and Angelina’s version. John and Jane are just a code name for whatever company this version of spies work for

SY MMS

If John had also agreed to stay for drinks they would've been cooked

Amos

We hereee

Toj

Roshi “fasting” ! Ok bro mad respect 🫡

Nick 8

John’s drip isn’t THAT bad

Tellyg47

Always interesting how John save their lives. When the cake lady offer them a glass of water and Jane accept but John quickly decline. The way he deducted that something was off and that he needed to get out of there was well shown.

A. P.

Bro to see Maya go from her character in Pen15 to Mrs Smith is pretty wild lol crazy transformation. Glad y'all watching this. Rewatching the first episode put some other things that happened throughout the series in perspective for me so that was dope.

Url Robbo

imagine your uber is your getaway driver after you just blew up 9 people

Professor00

Even the Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie version was a remake. I think the original was a TV show from 1996

em

the fuckin udders on this man don

ItzDIESEL

Idk y'all misread that earpiece scene that's supposed to be his wife in public so his doing that while putting in the ear piece is way less suspicious than just handing her it and her putting it in clear as day

RiQo11

If you guys didn't notice she is the vc for mizu in blue eye samurai

rickie woodson

rewatched the movie just in anticipation for this. there was also a 90s tv series apparently that is seemingly "unrelated" but its the same title and premise. its closer to this show than the movie cause in the movie they dont know each other are spies and work for different companies and the movie is about what do they do when they find out each other's secret. vs the 90s show and this they are both spies working for the same company pretending to be a married couple

rickie woodson

spot on roshi! that is brad and angelina in the beginning. at the end of their movie they were supposed to kill each other but defected so their companies went after them but they took out all the foot soldiers and thats how it ends. so most likely they went into hiding after that

DJ

You can feel some of the “Atlanta” carry over in the shots that Hiro directed.

bark
>>129639413

Pretty sure he also worked on The Bear as a producer as well

rickie woodson

they were specific lupa. "intercept the package". this is spy shit aka eyes only. foot soldiers are only given the bare minimum needs to know info. steal the diamond, none of your business what i do with it or how much its worth. get the package, none of your business whats in it.

rickie woodson

fun fact: the actress playing jane (maya erskine) voiced miku in blue eyed samurai. back to back maya shows!

StorySmith []

2005 was high school for yall? Damn I thought you guys were closer to my age. 2005 I was in 5th or 6th grade. I wouldn’t graduate high school till spring of 2013

Paul Walker

Other than the initial interview scenes when John is broke his wardrobe goes hard in this show... the character even goes out of his way to bring it up

Jaelyn Mcgee

I think I was in my sophomore year in high school when this came out

Jaelyn Mcgee

I'm still kind of confused by Lupa's bandaid, he has one almost every reaction now

Carlos

W Sheera for acknowledging The Americans is a very good show. Super underrated series. Need to do a rewatch one of these days. Also calling Alexander Skarsgard Great Value Brad Pitt is hilarious. Wasn't expecting him to be randomly in this.

J Man

Oh no! Not great value Angelina Jolie

Carlos

Also y'all are foul for reminding me that the movie is almost 20 years old. I was also in high school.

immortalmayfly

I just realized Maya Erskine is Mizu's VA from Blue Eye Samurai

XJ.

Y'all should react to Devs or The Leftovers. Y'all probably won't get these shows requested a lot but they're 🔥 shows by FX and HBO. And Severance too or The Changeling (Apple TV). I would recommend Archive 81, Black Summer, or Flatbush Misdemeanors but they've been canceled but some fire shows too nonetheless.

Romari Richards

are yall ever planning to react to Reacher?

john

15 mins in i already disappointed in western series pushing unnecessary sexual tension without any basis for it.

Oni Legend
>>129652583

“Unnecessary” my nigga they’re literally pretending to be married. The episode is literally called First Date. Its not unnecessary or lacking basis simply because they found each other attractive…which is how most sexual tension is started

Z

Damn RIP Off brand Brad and Angelina 🫡

Tim Drake

So happy y’all reacting to this

Metweet .c

I guess itd be funny for you guys to rewatch the movie since the vibes are just totally different. Just camp, funny and action based

Anna Anthony

Ngl, the movie isn't "the best action movie ever made" but like it's fun as hell. Just like this show!

Anna Anthony
>>129652583

"Without any basis" is wild, considering Mizu and Gambino are (respectfully) conventionally hot individuals. Abs are attractive in any gender. #corestrength 🤣

Aggtown_817
>>129641157

Roshi keeps him caged up and only let's him out for the reactions. Didn't you know? Guess he must've been acting out n sheera had to remind him

Fablee
>>129641300

Yes The American is brilliant, compare to this it’s a disappointment towards the second half 😅

Gilthwixt

I absolutely clocked that thing as a bomb as soon as they got on the train and even more so when they tried the misdirect with it being "just" a cake. That's classic spy shit to the point it gets parodied in Palm Springs. As for why the first lady had it, there are several possible scenarios. She could work for the same agency and is evaluating them. She could be another recruit and this was a way to test her and the Smiths at the same time. She could be from a rival agency with similar goals but the Smith's agency wanted credit. Or it's compartmentalization, having multiple hand offs makes it harder to track the bombs origins, and the Smiths were more disposable and/or it gives the lady plausible deniability

Gilthwixt
>>129624876

It's wild how she's also half-white in this show. Is that actually her IRL background and they just write the characters around her 🤔?

cami ً

started watching it expecting it to be similar to the film but was pleasantly surprise to see it being its own thing! very excited to keep watching it

Gmac paddiewac

dont tie it to the movie. its supposed to be more in the vein of the 90s show

Torrin

The movie is actually a remake off of a show from the 90s and this show is more similar to the original show than the movie

Castles
>>129644278

& in this show she’s also half japanese and half irish haha

Edwin Melendez

Maya voices Mizu in Blue Eye Samurai as well!!!

Mike A

Now that I know you've seen some of it, I'm gonna need ya'll to do a watch for The Americans. That show is peak TV.

pmreez

Yall should watch Pen15 with Maya Erskine, such an absurd funny show haha

rajave
>>129624534

Yeah when I saw that scene I was thinking "ah this would be a good reaction show"

danial javady

@Yaboyroshi day 32040 of asking roshi to check the logs to see what is causing the crashes (I can probably help)

Serg
>>129641629

Don't compare the two this is it's own thing and more grounded

Guav

Yall wipe the salt of the pretzels???? oh hell nah

Jake Coulter
>>129681438

Hmm this is good. Love the theories. I was thinking the lady was full aware the cake was the bomb when receiving it but “they” had to cut loose ends with those people. But still don’t know why they had snatch the box and what was the original goal. That’d be cool if we get some fuller context at some point but probably not, at least this season.

Jake Coulter
>>129652583

Yeah man this is like basic CIA case officer shit. You have to fully commit to the role and objective lol.

Jake Coulter
>>129641300

Is American really that good? I trust yalls opinion and taste but just gotta know

Jake Coulter
>>129639800

Yeah that is literal CIA shit. Everything is a need to know basis. You don’t need the details or the objective of mission. You just need to complete the tasks given to you.

Jake Coulter
>>129631288

Yeah fasting is no joke lol. End of day 2 you really start tapping into primal instincts. By the end of the day 3, there’s an oddly great clarity and peacefulness.

Jake Coulter
>>129627364

Yoo this is a pretty wild thing to hyper focus on lol. Idk what you got going on bro

Carlos
>>129641300

It's excellent but definitely more of a slow burn thriller as opposed to an action series.

Soul Pirate Ruichi

I get the pretzels with no salt at auntie anne’s because I just can’t with the gigantic salt

Azzy V

Maya voices Mizu btw @yaboyroshi

phantomzxro1
>>129638329

I agree they are a nod to brad and angelina smith characters but I don't think it's really their characters. The movie billed brad and angelina as the best spies in their companies. Doesn't seem like it connects that they would be taken out so easy.

Bria A.
>>129638024

ironically an author was considering suing them shortly after the movie came out for plagiarism

lyssa

I saw this was thinking of the movie with Brad Pitt I believe ?

Tay

idk if yall have seen it but at some point The Blacklist HAS to make it on a poll got a feeling you would really like it

howwlll
>>129624876

I haven't even watched the reaction yet, but I searched to make sure this was mentioned lol

Tay
>>129728644

would be a long ride for sure but an enjoyable one. I never finished it because they had to stop recording during the pandemic and I fell off keeping tabs on it. Mr. and Mrs. smith literally just reminded me of it lol but if they pick it up I'm here 100%.

Drake Rage

Yeah, idk this was a very underwhelming episode, maybe it picks up?

Ziggy
>>129739038

Aww I kinda liked it guess its not exactly the advertised vibe 😔

Johnson951

I think the Couple in the SUV in the beginning was the original John and Jane from the movie.

DsWorldd •

52:10 yeah roshi?? They gon recognize Max the cat but not their friend Sarah??😭😂

Mike A
>>129698575

It's excellent. I'd put it up against shows like The Sopranos, The Shield, Breaking Bad. It is a period piece though, so I get that some people might not vibe with it.

AB

Andor?

Elle E.

💀 SpyJobs@gmail.com

Gmac paddiewac

its crazy she went from killing all the white men in japan to spy

Gmac paddiewac

the director of this show is Childish Gambino's music video director and does some films in Japan as well

BlueCrane

old ladies reaction was lowkey real chill thinking about that she literally just dropped a fucking bomb lol

Chris Hee

Donald Glover is 40??? nooo yeah this first mission is cool, but mysterious. Hope we get more info as time goes on!

Luffy_77
>>129640427

Don't quote me on this cuz I don't remember, but I believe at some point I heard them say they graduated hs in like 2008 so if I'm remembering that correctly youre not far off lol

Chef MellowD

Roshi : I was just gonna show u this quarter behind your ear Me Literally Rolling Quarters: 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💀

xProKnockz

I’m curious as to what they think will happen to them when they’re finished

Corey Leach

Ngl i hate the movie trope where niggas are wasting bullets on a single object or surface that someone is behind. I'm with Roshi like she should've shot bro feet or something.

Jimmy

Sooooo not to be an ass but interracial couples stand out, they do. Not sure how covert they are with that in mind.

Marcus Johnson
>>131732147

It's cover fire. You keep them pinned in that one spot with continuous fire. However, yes I woulda tapped them toes and made him fall to get a kill shot.

Leo

Donald glover plus Hiro murai the unstoppable duo this is finna be good also John definitely clutched Jane's ass was trying to stay and have a drink like ma'am we are leaving we don't know these people 🤣.
