Hey Doc. I really wanted to be there, I was doing yard work and set a phone alarm but didn’t hear it go off. Yes, I think young people are more blunt talking about sex, many baby boomers like me have reservations about discussing sexual experiences, preferences, and sex, choosing our words carefully to be sensitive because of how we were raised. Most of the time when it came to sex with my first wife, I felt it was up to her, and I was wrong to ask or want it—especially when she’d just lie there, unengaged. I could never finish that way, and she always seemed upset when I asked for it. Tom was great opening up with you, that was a good book club!

Some kind of glitch occurred. Wasn’t able to get on. It Is what it is! I’m sure it was amazing! Ciao

Hope you enjoyed the yard work, I find it relaxing. 😌 What you said about generational stuff around sex is also my experience. A lot of people raised in that era were taught not to speak openly, or to avoid saying the “wrong” thing. And what you shared about your first wife… that kind of dynamic can leave a deep imprint on the heart. You’re not alone in that. I’m glad you felt comfortable sharing it here. And yes, a BIG thanks to Tom for being so open with us!
