Identical to what I have to do. Viagra, Cialis, etc did not work for me after prostate surgery, but Trimix has for the most part. I’ve talked to my doctor about switching to Quadmix to try to get the erections to last just a bit longer because they sometimes wane away in about 5 minutes (but sometimes they last for 40-50 minutes). That’s one of the things with using the injections- it’s a lot like a science experiment for the 1st several times you use it because you’re trying to find the right dosage, and that can take away from the actual sexual experience. I tried using the vacuum device & cock ring, but for me it was very uncomfortable and the cock ring made my penis feel numb & cold. The sensations when using the injections are also a little different- sometimes feels like your penis is not really a part of you- maybe because arousal isn’t necessary 🤷🏼‍♂️ Someone mentioned the auto inject device- I wasted about $50 on one of those. Tried it once- the sound & recoil (much like a gun) caused me to flinch and pull it out before i had fully injected. Wasn’t sure if I got enough medication in & you can’t inject again for 48 hours, so that killed that sexual encounter (and I made myself bleed more than normal by yanking it away on reflex). My advice would be save your money & learn to just use the syringe. Getting your partner to learn to give the injection is a great idea because that’s easier than trying to learn to use your non-dominant hand for shots on the opposite side. As far as pain, I was very apprehensive about doing injections because of a lifelong fear/dislike of needles, but these truly DO NOT hurt at all!! You feel a little pinch & it’s over. Maybe a .5 on a scale of 1-10. And like he said in the video, the erection will stay for a bit even after orgasm which is awesome- if you’re in good enough cardiovascular shape to “keep pounding” 🤣, you can go for quite awhile!! Hope this helps some of you who had questions.

Dr. Susie, it did not appear like he got a very firm erection. Do you think if he had used a higher dosage of trimix that he would have gotten a bigger/firm erection? Also I did not understand what dosage he loaded in the syringe, can you clarify. Also, when I looked into trimix injections it was explained to me that the injections could cause scarring on the penis which could lead to Peyronie's issues. If you have a link talking about the findings that penis injections do not cause scarring on the penis please post it for us. Thank you.

Dr. Susie mentions that being nervous can reduce the erection. Dunno about you, but I'd be pretty nervous doing a demo. This gent has more stones than I do.

Your model is very generous in helping others. I saw a post on Youtube some time back by an escort who was describing an older client using Trimix. She was very supportive/thrilled and loving towards the client that the limitation could be overcome.

Dr. Susie Gronski - Doctor of Physical Therapy

Hi Carlos, I appreciate your thoughtful questions. To your first question, it’s possible a higher dose could have produced a stronger erection, but since our volunteer was demonstrating in front of an audience (without the other key ingredients like eroticism, stimulation, and arousal), a softer response is completely normal. As for dosage, it’s individualized and titrated based on each person’s response. There’s always some experimenting involved, and it should be guided by a physician. On Peyronie’s, the stronger evidence points toward it being inflammation-related. Reduced penile function or blood flow can contribute, along with direct penile tramua, genetic and other factors. While some studies have found a small correlation between penile injections and Peyronie’s—anywhere from under 2% to about 20%—that’s correlation, not proven causation, and factors like injection technique likely play a role. The AUA guidelines don’t list injections as a risk factor, though if penile fibrosis develops during therapy, the recommendation is to pause injections (spontaneous resolution has been reported once injections were stopped). Anecdotally, several urologists I’ve spoken with haven’t observed penile fibrosis or scarring as an adverse effect to penile injections in their patients. Interestingly, early Peyronie’s treatment sometimes involves injection therapy itself to help break down scar tissue. I hope this clears things up. https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJM199604043341401

Dr Susie thank you very much for such a detailed explanation.

As a Trimix user, I can say that the dosage definitely matters when talking about firmness. It’s possible that he didn’t give himself his “normal” dose that he would use for sex since he was just doing an injection demo. I typically need about a .5mL dose to get hard enough for penetration, but I can give myself lower doses between times that I am intimate with my wife on the recommendation of my doctor as a form of therapy for blood flow, just as you would with a pump. This could be for a masturbation session, or if I don’t have time to pump, I can give myself a half-boner by using .2 or .3mL just to have that “full” feeling. There is a possibility of scar tissue building up, but you should vary the injection site along the shaft & and you should alternate sides each time you inject. If you have trouble using your non-dominant hand, it could be worthwhile to get your partner to learn to give the injection when you need to stick that side.

Dr. Susie, just curious but is Allan one of your patients or is he a model for pay.

Do the two cavernosa communicate at the distal ends or along their length? Wondering how the tri-mix on one side can cause both the engorge? Or does only the injected side engorge?

Dr. Susie Gronski - Doctor of Physical Therapy

The cavernosa are two separate chambers. The medication is injected into one of the chambers and diffuses into the shared blood supply which makes both chambers engorge with blood.
