Guy

This is one I wanted to sit in on. Here are my responses, not necessarily in linear sequence. I define passion as a strong love or desire anything else is just "like" or "interest". Maybe a feeling of urgency? An example of passion for me is my love for J. It goes way beyond urges or desire. It is a full emotional involvement where I want to nurture her and give her pleasure. Passion is any strong feeling of desire, I guess. Can be without emotional involvement and just physical drive. I do not see passion as suffering. Not being able to fullfill a passion might feel like suffering, I guess. I agree that at some points in history women's sexuality and male sexuality is seen differently. Sexually active women are whores, sexually active men are studs. I'm a classic liberal so there are no power games, it's all about sharing. Passion as well. I grew up viewing women as pure, needing to be protected and pursued for consent to intimacy. I think I knew this was not actually real world, but I had difficulty treating women otherwise. On the other hand, boys were encouraged to pursue casual intimacy. Newness may increase passion or desire. It's called the Coolidge Effect where novel situations, places or partners may lead to more sexual arousal. Harmonious is my style. For me passion never gets out of hand. Boring? Others have no say in my sense of passion other than in being respectful of people. I feel no risk in feeling passion. At first I was going to say that I don't really understand other passions. Interest, yes but not passion. But then I thought of my strong desire to advocate for prostate cancer victims. That continues even after my being cured and not having to deal with it.. At one time I had a passion for making multiple male orgasms recognized as within the normal range of male experience and I do still feel a less intense need to preach this. The real issue is that I think men accept the social "norm" as their fate and fail to be curious or appreciate possibilities. Learned to love massage. Cranial massage just melts me down. I do not accept sexual reactions of any sort during massage, though I've had a couple of instances where it was difficult to avoid body reactions. most passionate, least passionate? Feeling of perineal muscles flexing. Doing new things. Coolidge effect.
