Pain with intercourse (penetration) can feel confusing, frustrating, and pretty isolating. In this live treatment demo, I walk you through how I treat dyspareunia and vaginismus on a real-live female model. 👉 Curious what a female pelvic floor muscle exam looks like? Watch this video.

This is not a “just relax” talk or a one-size-fits-all stretch routine.

In this video, you'll see:

How painful intercourse is often less about damage and more about protection

What pelvic floor tightness can look like and how we work with it, not against it

How breathing, positioning, touch, and pacing matter more than forcing penetration

Why treatment needs to feel safe, collaborative, and adaptable to your body

This demo is meant to help you understand the why behind the work, not just the what. Whether you are a patient, partner, or clinician, this is a behind-the-scenes look at a sex-positive, evidence-informed approach to care.

Take what fits. Leave what does not. Go slow and I hope this helps!

A big thank you to our professional teaching associate who made this educational possible. ❤️

Dr. Suzy, your presentation hit the spot—pun intended. Kudos to the model, takes balls. Your vid clicked: I rubbed my ex's tiny vulva and vaginal opening, slow lazy circles... she really loved the pressure on her perineum, said it relaxed her. Turns out I was loosening her pelvic floor without knowing. She had excruciating pain sometimes. Never got it till now. And yeah—she'd 69 with me, massaging my inguinal area where I've got 30 years of groin pain, while I worked her vulva. We just... synced up. Sometimes it was sex, sometimes it was just cuddling. your vid got me thinking about my daughter. She's scared sex'll hurt with her boyfriend. Told her years ago to get her pelvic floor checked—she still hasn't. Maybe she'll listen now. She's not a Patreon member... can I show her the video anyway? Love you, your crew, and everything you do! Thanks, Rex

Hey Rex, Thank you for sharing that. It sounds like you two really listened to each other’s bodies. You were onto something without even realizing it. I’m really glad your daughter feels safe talking to you about her fears. Pain with sex is common, but it’s not something she has to just live with. Pelvic floor therapy can definitely shift fear into confidence. You’re welcome to share my public YouTube videos with her. Patreon content is for members, so she’d need to join to access those. Appreciate you, Rex. And I appreciate the kind words. ❤️
