I agree with lee. Sumin needs a lot of therapy from past traumas . And at times especially in the moment sometimes I do feel sad for her but ultimately sumin is just a very mentally unstable person with serious abandonment issues.

Oh Damn I got my own vid now lool we was having a fun banter discussion this got deep but respect for the investment. I see what you kind of mean about her and him and the wording evil but I can agree on your take of him that he’s trash regardless of the good he gets from her. I just felt Su min was significantly more evil but I get when you say it’s directed even when she’s harming others she does it in advantage to hurting jiwon. I think we overall agree but as you said you find the husband more trash. In the end they both trash 🗑️ lmaoo so it don’t matter but it was a fun convo. Ima say you low key just as crazy as su min jk lmaoo

That is the shows aim when showing her back story is pretty much traumatised obsessed hurt person gone mentally unstable due to her neglect so I can’t disagree

I think I’m looking at it too much through a realistic lense of real life and how scenarios like having a trash partner later in life can happen but a dedicated crazy person over decades is wild

It’s just crazy cause I always play devils advocate but I couldn’t get past the the point that Su min had multiple chances to stop. She approached Ji Won in middle school and as we saw she continuously belittled Ji Won. And I get that as a child she was jealous of Ji Won dad but regardless she still lost a parent same as Su min. AND Ji won dad was kind to her too… if she wanted to he could’ve been a 2nd dad to her but yk…. Long story short that’s why I can’t have a soft side for her it’s just up on sight

What are you arguing though. Are you venting or is there a point you disagree with? The reason i ask is… i agree what you wrote and my video acknowledges that sumin is evil in all things Jiwon related and that doesn’t give her a pass. The homie is trash to any woman he can be and i make a distinction between them. But both are bad humans. There is a bit of nuance. Specifically answering why i am harder on the man than Sumin

Yeah kinda where I was. To me trash partners happen in life obv he’s a dumb ass and doesn’t see what’s infront of him but to me Su mins obsession to the distruction of her so called friend felt more villain then the husband the master mind evil plan as a villain would call it

You gotta take this kinda stuff fun. They write and cast charismatic people. Even the trash boss i like but his character is trash. But he does things i find amusing as a viewer. Lol. Really the only bad person i cant like is Sumins husband. Hes not charismatic at all but then again i think thats intended. Very good cast

I respect that. You have a fleshed out stance and i know mine is definitely unpopular even as i say it. I feel that way. But i know i will lose on the grand stage to defend my point But i am comfortable sharing

Yeah I can agree atleast Su mins trash is also very entertaining and motivated by something and has a personality behind it from that standpoint it’s also why it’s made us so passionate lol

I'm with Lee on this one. I see it like this - at school, a kid get's a 100 on a math test, but that doesn't mean he is the smartest kid in the class, cuz apart from that he got 50 for history, 60 for English etc, while another kid got 95 on math, but got 90s all around the board. Sumin is the math kid - anything Jiwon related she is the worst, but Minhwa is the overall 'I'm trash trough and trough to everyone ( Sumin,Jiwon, his family etc. ).

Lol Lee you crazy haha I see ya point. I get your understanding. Me & my friends had this discussion when the show aired. Like you a couple of them felt bad for her. I up until a certain point (her as a kid) could see her & forgive her. It's once she got older & still didn't change that you have to call a spade a spade. She worst in my opinion (it's an opinion y'all chill, we all have one sheesh) because as many have stated Minhwan is trash to everyone equally while Sumin is trash to anyone around Jiwon while she has been gaslighting this her for years. Anyone who is around Minhwan for longer than 20mins can tell you is as trashy as they come, meanwhile Sumin is as trashy & fake as they come. She approached Jiwon with evil intentions, felt bad, seen she still had a loving parent & then stood on her evil plan. I still say Sumin mother knew her daughter wasn't a good person, mother's be knowing. She told her to go her go to her dad. The look on her mom's face showed she was fed up with her. Evil hidden in plain sight. I love that she is trash tho. Because you can see how she got to this point but you can also see how if she had truly wanted to be a good person she could have been (she has been with Jiwon all this time, there is no way she wouldn't have had genuine good things happen to her all this time) Jiwon got her the job, Jiwon even made sure she was never left behind after she got man & got married.

I really enjoy the passion and how excited you are about the show. I might be in the minority, but I do agree with you. She has a very weird petty obsession with the MC outside of that I’m not saying she’s like the greatest person ever but she’s not that bad, she just has a lot of jealousy for this one person and makes her life miserable, but other than that she just looks out for her best interest the same as any other person would she’s not unnecessarily mean to others only the MC

Alisha .

you should read the webtoon, it so much better... she is even worse in there and the backstory is a little different which really really really makes her look psycho
