Sakuga. Seeing how fluid this is, I can't imagine how crisp the fluids of Dress Up Darling S2 will be. Can't wait

It’s funny how during the initial discussion, Lee and gangs were saying this is like those shows where kids were fighting adults one on one, and the anime in the same episode addressed that issue by letting us know that the kids ARE fighting adult but struggling. It took the 3 of them, especially Tokiyuki to wear down the uncle, making him too tired to fight normally and losing afterwards. That’s the sense of realism that I like about this series. And there’s no S.O.B. scene asking why the uncle betrayed him and his brother. Just straight behead the betrayer and offer him to those he betrays.

art style went hard this episode, excited for this show if they keep that up. and the whole gambling/game imagery let you know exactly who this uncle is without having to say much

Patrick Rukundo

lol Jeez they had every animation style possible during this episode, fun watch!

Japanese History gets to those peak levels of brutality, Burn down a capital here, wipe out a clan there. Real history is brutal without all the filters

Can you imagine what this kid could do if he actually wanted to train? He would be super OP!🤯

I especially like that the adult on their side literally did nothing physical just slightly tactical. It shows the kids are really working for the W.😁

They let us know the struggles the kids get are real struggle. It’s not like they won easily. It took one to dropkick and struggling to get away, another to hit the sword away from his hand, and Tokiyuki to slice his head off at a high speed.

I'm genuinely surprised by this anime. I didn't even know it existed, but it might be the best this season imo. The timing, choreography, sound design, art, and story telling are exceptional. And I love the unexpected brutality, it makes the fights more thrilling and dangerous than your standard shonen.

Thumbnails are huge. I slept on this anime until it got mentioned on a podcast because the thumbnail looked like some creepy BL stuff. Great show

Mochi

this is my favorite anime of the year to date
