Marvelous JJ

Thank you for sharing the schedule. All great shows, so very happy to be watching sth with you from Monday till Saturday each week ;)

Marvelous JJ

58:00 - The mom is actually played by Jung So-min, who is FL in both Alchemy of Souls and a new drama called Love Next Door, among many others. Although I don't think you've seen any of her shows to recognize her. Actually, both young mom & dad are FL and ML of a show called Because This Is My First Life. Never seen it myself, but just checked the cast info.

Marvelous JJ, Jung So Min is one of my favourite actresses. I'm loving her in Love Next Door. Also, Because This is My First Life is a pretty good show, if you have time you should watch it 😊

YES! Because This is My First Life is really good. I love both leads in that one too. She is also my boo from Alchemy of Souls.

September

Sung Yeon almost got knocked out with how hard he got pushed. Gwi Nam was about to do Heartbeat. This was a good episode I just don't like how it is leaving us hanging I want the whole story. I have thoughts but I'm not going to voice them we will see what happens, I'm working on not writing novels for comments.

Florina Niko

You all watched many kdramas already and you know it, I had the same reaction when he met her sisters, 'You have to bow too'😂

Snax

i appreciate the empathy and understanding shown for the brother. when people were commenting that they saw the show and still hated the brother, i truly couldn't understand. he may have been a bully to his younger brother when they were kids, but he clearly suffered from trauma, and then was misled by his parents for the entirety of his life, being led to believe he was a victim and it was his brother's fault....it was a messed up childhood. ultimately a majority of the fault lies on the parents shoulders. also just want to point out, kids tend to call older adults aunt/uncle, grandma/grandpa, without any relation, as a sign of respect for those older than them. edit: just looked at the schedule.... 3 shows in my top 50s for a whole week..........yall im in heaven. thought id be scraping by with happiness after secretary kim ended....but i am so pleasantly surprised and so ready for my next month of pure stress to be offset by yall reacting...

Becs

One drama, I think you guys would like is Come and hug me the storyline is really good.

Lizbeth Perry

Shoutout to Adorkable for the callback at 1:18:53 whether she knew it or not to episode 2 when Ml said to tKim Mi Soo that there are two people in this world who cannot speak about consideration for others in front of me. One is my older brother and the other is you. Full circle is real!😂

Sne Msomi

Oh mom is homegirl from alchemy of souls and love next door . This was good casting because she also has a big expressive smile like mi so

Anah!

Funny that the parents where the couple in another drama that had ended prior to this one it was named Because this is my first life.

Might have been on purpose if this was aired from the same channel as that other show. So they made a surprise cameo this way =)

The director for What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim is also the director for Because It’s my First Life. The main lead for that drama are Miso’s mom and dad.

I can’t stand the brother most of the time cause he acts as if he were wearing a mask, but after this episode, it makes sense. That man has been living with a lie all his life, and he doesn’t know what to do. It made me a bit sad when Jung pushed him after Mi So fainted. And regarding “the spider”, I think that Jung called her that cause the lady with the red heels also had long red nails, and when she used her hands it looked like a spider, if that makes sense… It’s all very sad. Great reaction guys, and I appreciate your empathy! It's part of the reason why I subscribed to this Patreon, which is the only Patreon I am subscribed to, btw!

Overall I enjoy your reactions and especially the show(haven't laughed so genuinely much while watching a show in a while). But I just can't wrap my head around why you're so quick to antagonize the older brother as a scheming bastard and secretary Kim's sisters as ordering-around bitches. You made this mistake of judging people too soon in "Fight My Own Way" when the TV producer guy was in fact a nice guy who tried to help, albeit wasn't so smooth in the process, and yet you still do it. I get the prejudice against the older brother since he acts as a wrench thrown in the romantic relationship we all "ship", but from a Korean perspective, her sisters haven't done anything so wrong. If any, I can see they really care for their youngest and feel so indebted to her. So they are trying their best to be around her and be there for her. You regard their dropping by her house as invading, and even in this episode, you see them as ordering her around when it clearly sounded like they already had a plan for the next day. I could attribute this to cultural difference, but haven't you watched enough K-dramas to understand that? Then again, I don't know, perhaps the older brother might turn out to be a real psychopath later and prove your clairvoyance right (this is my first time watching this show). But so far, neither the order brother or the sisters did anything wrong.

You just have to know that i am sharing my thoughts that people often keep private. So i am not worried about jumping to conclusions or making the same mistake as “fight for my way”. You’re tuning in to observe how these 3 individuals respond to the stimulus of the show according to our natural state as much as possible. I am capable of saving my wrong opinions and just staring at the tv, repeating exactly what i heard. “Saying wow. Thats cool”. “ i love the brother” all the things that would satisfy you. But i would no longer be myself. My character and personality is that of a flaws person. So my opinions and takes will match my flaws. If i was giving a Thesis or professional review id become highly objective and disregard my bias. But i am trying to just be myself and hope that people appreciate it. I welcome the criticism or difference in opinion though. But i dont think you should bring my history being wrong in fight for my way and suggesting i am repeating the same mistake because this is how i digest Media and i am sharing that with you. I wrote a long essay and will condense it with this. A reaction video is supposed to be a recording of your natural state watching TV. And it should include your good and bad habits unchanged and unfiltered as much as possible. Its purity is lost the more we try and correct remarks to appease viewers.

I maintain the belief that we were supposed to to think the producer was a bad guy and fight for my way. That’s the intention so you can be pleasantly surprised seeing that you are wrong Otherwise the writing is less impactful. I don’t mind jumping to conclusions being wrong and because the pay off for the journey the writer takes me becomes very rewarding. This is not a autobiography , their fictional characters. So it’s OK for one’s emotions to run their natural course and just follow the journey

>>147848489

Maybe I am wrong, since I also watched "Fight for My Way" for the first time along with you. Yes, the producer guy was very awkward and somewhat murky as to what he would do next, but he never stroke me as a creep or a potential serial killer. In my view, yes, you were supposed to somewhat suspect his intention, but not to the extent of utter repugnance you showed in your reaction. I get that, when we watch a show or a movie, we are supposed to be on our leads' side and naturally are supposed to look for a villain in each and every other character. But not all shows or movies are designed like that. I also wrote a thesis that would simply offend you (judging from your response), but my gist is you're way too quick to judge some characters - to an unnecessarily harsh degree sometimes.

Cheol-Woo Park
>>147848489

Another thing I'd like to add is, if we could learn just a little bit about other cultures and the way they think via watching shows and movies from other countries - while enjoying it simple-mindedly - wouldn't it be an overall better and rewarding experience?

YaBoyRockLee Reactions
>>147848489

You were not rude or condescending so I don’t have a reason to get emotional. I just had extra time to explain myself But I see your point of view is the same and I just have to respect that

YaBoyRockLee Reactions
>>147848489

And one more time to reiterate I sincerely respect how you feel and what your thoughts are. I read what you wrote and i will digest that.

Cheol-Woo Park
>>147848489

My dear sir, now you're making me feel bad.. I worried you were offended(even so slightly), but am glad you weren't (never meant to).

Cheol-Woo Park
>>147848489

I understand and respect that this is not a review channel or a streaming service(as you mentioned once in one of your reactions). I rarely post comments but it was some of my observations that I thought I'd bring up, since I had a couple examples now. Please don't take it as a blame, though. Just thought sometimes you guys were being too harsh is all. Thank you for reading & replying.

This is probably one of the more tragic stories. I've watched the show multiple time especially for the next 2 episodes. The fact that he even grew up stable considering everything that has happened to him.

sry, the coolest thing is the flashback of the parents. it´s a separate couple in a different drama. "because this is my first life" it´s awesome
