I was thinking about checking this out because one Chinese anime's always hit and two its Directed by the same person who wrote and directed Link Click (Li Haoling) so I know its good.

This anime is a joined production between Japanese and Chinese studios. Both Japanese and Chinese dubs ARE the original dubs. They are doing nothing wrong.

All good, but why are the lips synched to the Mandarin track? Shouldn't we just go with the natural voice and acting in that case? (No big deal, but I've always been subs over dubs and this is double huh with dubsubs over just subs)

I get what you mean, maybe it's because I never notice the lip sync stuff, but it's not that distracting for me. As for the main reason I think it's okay for them to go Japanese, it's the familiarity factor. Even if they can't understand most of it, they are more familiar with it than Mandarin. That could impact the enjoyment of the show for them.

I was told unanimously to do this in Japanese. I covered link click before, fantastic show that received the fewest support of any anime I’ve ever posted and we did that in the original language Mandarin. As a reaction channel my goal is to post the content you guys want to see the most in the format you want to see the most

In short I chose Japanese because that’s what the community said and we are active on the patron section on discord discussing anime regularly. And link click didn’t do well with Mandarin

I love the different animation styles in this show. Looking forward to seeing more. Thanks for the reaction guys. Also Witch Watch is definitely a fun show and it is animated by the same studio that did 100 girlfriends so you know its going to be peak.

NGL this animation style isn't what I typically like. But they did the thing. Once that theme hit in that fight I was hooked. That ending was crazy.

On the post-convo, X and Nice aren’t the same person. Think it’s shown in the opening (which might have played at the end there) and was being mentioned when Ling got fired, X is the number 0 hero, and there’s a competition that has come back to try and take that spot. . Considering that Nice is very public in advertisements, and was effectively getting attacked for making the manager’s life unnecessarily difficult, yet was still beloved by fans, something tells me that ‘hero’ is an exceptionally loose term… maybe.

I'm sure someone probably already pointed it out, but D Nasty's talk at the end showed that he missed how Moon being found dead was a week after the incident at the show filming. So, I don't like how we got a week time jump with zero understanding of what happened during that time, and hiw Homie Hero missed the hot af blonde 2 feet from where he plopped down for bed. :/ This anime looks utterly badass, and I love it, but little shite like those things really irk me.
