In all seriousness, I hear it's great if you're a fan of these types, and the audience is niche. So, I gave it a try after scrutinizing the remaining shows and wanting to make sure we picked something we enjoyed. I think this will be the case here, but we will see.

I also understand its not the popular choice..neither was Orb last season...but we do this from time to time...

Even if it underperforms, as long as it's hype AF for ya'll I don't mind The reverse I see with reactors is boring AF shows they aren't engaged in, and fake reactions. Ain't none of dat here bois. If anyone needs an example of Lee never chasing the bag and doing charity work; it's Link Click

Coping McCoperson

damn lee really hates me, goes for gundam slop instead of fun slop

Thamor

My only hope with female MC this doesn't evolve to Yuri. Otherwise I do know this is stiuatetd to the like 80-90s Gundam storyline.

gg78cc

It really is a fantastic show. I got to check out the first three episods, it's better than IBO and Witch from Mercury. People are judging off this one episode, but it's really great.

Dist

Not a fan of the Gundam designs. But that Grunt Police suit… kinda hot ngl! Also the physics of the space battles looks on point. Huge potential!

Ren Lichtfoot

Red Comet appearing in the first episode, so I know this is about to go crazy. Char is legendary because (at least the original Char) wasn't a "strictly" a new-type. He was just an ace that eventually evolved into a New-Type through his fights with Amuro. So whoever is piloting the Red Comet has to be a beast. I wonder who it is? Something tells me it might be a royal family member, which would make it interesting. I'm already hype for this one.

I’m a big gundam guy so appreciate the representation Sci-fi is neglected in the reaction world, for obvious reasons performance wise. I wish Netflix didn’t f around with moonrise that show deserves hype and week to week attention, it’s so fun and well animated the fights are up there with windbreaker animation at times along with a good space opera story Watched it all in Sub already, gonna let it marinate for a few weeks and rewatch in Dub

It’s gundam 80% of the main characters are Bi anyway it’s part of the franchise at this point It’s what being a new type is all about understanding people lol

Kyle Wilber

Also if you wanna watch a Gundam without really caring about canon, Gundam Thunderbolt is peak modern Gundam animation along with music, 3 hour-hour and a half at most long movies with top tier animation and graphics even being older than WfM “When you hear my jazz, that’s when you die” as dude is doing a drum solo in the cockpit with a old radio

Asserooku

No offense, but I rather have "I'm the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire" for Mecha anime reaction compared to this show. Ah well, gonna re-pledge after new interesting stuff have been added.

Itd be nice if they gave thunderbolt a chance... but they hardly ever react to anything that isnt current season. I'd prefer it mostly because witch and gqux arent really my style design or character wise.

I like the Gundam/MS designs but character design I’m 50/50 wfm was pretty good, GQX might take some time it’s the Pokémon character designer and it shows Yeah thunderbolt might be my favorite Gundam anime it’s peak and so is the manga, just bought vol20-22 super invested in this story and the art is great…they are supposed to still have plans to animate more thunderbolt so maybe if it continues they will give it a chance Recent UC Gundam Tbolt and Unicorn clear. With Tbolt being a side story it would make a fun hype quick Patreon exclusive but I do get why they wouldn’t do it at the same time

TexMexNinja

Thanks for giving this show a chance. Whether it succeeds or fails it has a lot of talent, care, and probably budget behind it. Which is more than I can say for the deluge of very hit or miss light novel adaptations.

September

This is my first anime, unless you count the stuff my son watched as a kid, DBZ. I am into art so I like the animation but need to know if I need back story to get this? I don't want to call my son and get into a deep convo if I don't have to I will be on the phone for hours.

technically it's kind of an alternate universe of the og gundam show but you shouldnt need get more backstory to get it , everything will be explained by ep 3 is my guess ( i watched the movie version of the first three episodes in theater and they explained everything well there )

Rincevent

From the conversation at the beginning , if you want a Gundam with nice modern graphics you have Gundam the Origin that's quite good too

J Man

Char? New Types? I didn't expect this to be another series in the Gundam Universal Century universe

J Man

The "spider sense" you guys noticed is the "newtype flash", which is essentially spider sense. It's a generic super power that Gundam pilots like Amuro Ray or Kamille Bidan were born with where they have psychic abilities

J Man

Gundam Pilots are required to have the Peter Tingle... Newtype flash

rakka

Homegirl is basically Aladdin LOL Suletta Mercury was my favorite Gundam MC since the 90s. I have high hopes for the new girl Amati

Skebaba

MC has "fuck shit up" gremlin ADHD energy, ngl.

Enkyri

Lol the Gundam fandom is like the Waifu community. We all argue about which series is the best, but as a whole, Gundam is just some good shit.

Dirty_Oldman

My favorite Gundam series will always be Gundam Wing and then Gundam 00. Gundam Hathaway is my favorite movie. Now my favorite mech series is Robotech Macross saga

Thamor

Now that rewatching Gundam Seed & Destiny, this episode 1 has so many references to those Gundam shows too while being connected to the original Gundam. Halo halo.

Sad we getting these style of Gundam shows, but not anymore what OG Gundam was or even Seed&Destiny.
