I've only read the Rent a Girlfriend manga, so I can't comment on the quality of the adaption, but the main thought I had while reading it was "why am I reading this?". I've never seen a series where the author blatantly hates the MC and does everything in his power to make him the most blockheaded, dense mf who folds at the slightest breeze.

I must have been living in a bubble because I have been casually watching Rent a Girlfriend for 4 seasons without knowing people hate it. Then the poll came and I was looking forward to Lee and Directors discussions and even their rants on the show only to find out everybody hates the show and did not want them to do a reaction to it.

Rent a Girlfriend just has a massive reputation, but it's a terrible reputation as a gross icky franchise. Ass class has a pretty good reputation. it's a shounen you could show a 12yo. I doubt most people have seen or read rent a girlfriend, they just know of it, and wrote it off as being dogshit. (The fans of rent a girlfriend call it dogshit, lovingly.) I haven't seen it, nor have read it past 30-40 manga chapters, but that's my take on the reaction/opinions on it.

I enjoyed and finished the manga for Ass Class btw, I've tried watching the anime on 3 seperate occassions before dropping it out of boredom. It's not bad. It's alright. It's a shounen done well, but there's no 'it' factor. Rent a Girlfriend in comparision, is all 'it' factor. People call it dogshit, people hate, but they can't stop reading/watching it.

Personally Im not a fan of either. Ass Class is "eh" to ok in my book. Rent a Girlfriend is just a series im not willing to give a chance lol. I think at this point Im just tired of the "harem with undecisive mc" trope. I much rather rewatch the ones I liked (eg To Love Ru) than pick up a new one lol. Glad you're enjoying the series tho!

I have watched clips of ass class. It seems like it would be an OK watch if I was watching it with someone else. I'd never watch It on my own. And as far as the high school boy that likes to get NTR by high school prostitutes, I couldn't even make it pass the first episode.

I know what you mean. Its not something to “duh” a person about because people behave and think differently. Some people follow us and prefer to watch whatever gives the best reaction. I got people that been around for years who are that way. I talk to them and some individually. And there is another faction that prioritizes the show that we are reacting to, more so than us. Many people show up to watch their favorite show and disappear They don’t care who’s covering it Any channel that covers it they show up watch it and disappear Lol. In some capacity everyone is a mix of these two. Considering 100 points And distribute into two cat Here for the show 50 Here for the reactors 50. People distribute these points differently That’s what this person is alluding to And I understood it without needing as many words

People do watch it cuz someone else is. Lol. Literally. According to responses by peers. I actually prioritize shows my friends co sign and avoid the ones they don’t personally. I’ve done reactions to shows because one member is interested and it’s still a fun watch along.

I've seen both (only season 1 of both) and I would say for a reaction rent a girlfriend is more entertaining than assassination classroom. I would say assassination classroom is obviously a better show. I personally prefer the other just because trash romance is up my alley lol.

I think trash can be reacted to but there is different categories 1)Yelp reviewer to a bad restaurant (no one cares) 2)Gordon Ramsay's kitchen nightmares (Good Reactor and most bad shows) 3)bad episode of kitchen nightmares (nice bits because of the Reactor but the rest of the content drags it down) I find RAG the third type.

Well, to be truthfully honest with you, I only made it about 5 minutes into it. I mean it starts off with him being dumped by his girlfriend, but then he gets horny off of thinking about his ex-girlfriend being with someone else and then he instantly goes to an app for prostitute. No, thank you instantly turned me off. I stopped watching it right then and there and then. Then from reading and hearing about basically the anime being the entire thing him always getting turned on about his exes sorry don't need to watch that.

I feel like for assassinaton classroom. At best you’ll like it. At worst you’ll find it okay. But I personally think you’d enjoy it. Your taste definitely lean more towards Rent a girlfriend but I bet you’d still enjoy assassinaton classroom—in my opinion. I feel like you should at least try to watch an episode of assassinaton class. It might surprise you and make you be like “damn, this is actually fire!” Then again maybe not, but what’s the harm in trying an episode via solo reaction. I don’t care that much though. I don’t love the show, I just like it and think it’s a fun time. I would still pay for the solo reactions if you ever decided to do that tho.
