I love how nuance the GOT universe is, you will always see different opinions. That's what I love about these shows. To me, the fact that Rhaena joined in the battle after only just bonding with her dragon means that even if Queen Rhaenyra went by herself she would have seen herself in a 1v1 battle with Sheepstealer, so either way things would not have been to pretty

i missed that SINGLE argument in experience and all that....I didnt consider that she would have went WITHOUT the Sea Snakes daughter but did look like she was going to ride alone.....but Jace took the sea snakes daughter to make up for his lack of experience and now they only lost Jace and his dragon and not the queen and her dragon against Sheepstealer... I also like the Nuance...very very very hard to blame a side for outcomes with all these chaotic elements entering the math

Yeah him bringing her too made for better odds and even helped him escape from their rope once. Without Sheepstealer coming there and being a wildcard I personally find it hard to believe he would have flew that low again when he was already caught once and saw what their plan was. There's not ONE right answer to this, similar to real life. All I can say is Jace had CONVICTION (In my Rocklee voice) and was ready to die as a solider for his mother and QUEEN, even if that's not what she wanted. He wanted to be useful to her and he saw her life as more valuable than his own. They both considered each other more valuable than the other and that was the disconnect for the two of them

Loving the reactions, guys! 😄 I like characters on both sides, but I’m Team Green - more so Alicent & Otto. I started out Team Green, and I’m sticking with them all the way. @37:41 The three of your reactions and facial expressions had me cracking up. 😂 Absolutely hilarious! Jace was right but I didn't like him undermining Rhaenyra. He could've tried harder to convince Rhaenyra and she should've listened to Jace and her council instead of thinking her way was the only way. And screw Queensguard Ser Lorent. I'm looking forward to Rhaenyra punishing him next episode.

Bringing huge ass wild dragon straight into the chaotic battlefield was the biggest blunder this episode... But the biggest bullshit this episode were these harpoon things bringing down a God Deam Dragon. It doesnt make any sense. Granted this isn't a big-big dragon, but it's not a wyrmling either. That thing should be able to lift the entire ship no problem...not being able to carry an anchor is just stiupid. And okay the one that accualy killed it, sure something something big wound I can meby belive it was hurt enough to not have the streanght required... but the first one that got cliped to the saddle? Come on... If anything it should be an effective weapon FOR the dragon using the anchor like a wreaking ball xD

Nah bro Ser Lorent is THE GOAT. Not the queensguard we want, but the queensguard we NEED. As Jace said. Queensguard duty is to protect the Queen from ALL danger, and that incluses Queen herself, if she is abaut get herself killed

Ser Lorent definitely saved Rhaenyra's life cause I do think she probably would've got herself killed. But he defied her order, the Queen's order, to do it. He locked her in her room like a child and I know everyone in that castle heard her banging on that door yet no one came to let her out. I don't think he would've done that if Rhaenyra was a man.

There is a lot of blame to go around lol but 2 characters that I don't think have been mentioned are Vermax and the Queen's guard who listened to Jace. I mean who would listen to the 2nd in comand and ignore orders from 1st in comand. I understand Jace was trying to keep his mother safe but he should have told her if you go I also go and see what she decides. The Queens's guard should never have followed Jace's order. I am disapointed in is Vermax and yes I know its a young and inexperianced dragon but if I get impaled and am being dragged down to my death, I will not keep just flapping my wings lol I would use my teeth or claws to snap the wire or worst case yank it out and cartorized the wound with fire. It wasn't even a surprise anymore since he had been in the same situation earlier. Vermax and Jace should have had a plan for what to do if it happens again smh

Syrax is at least a large dragon, even bigger than Sheepstealer, so the weights wouldn't've had the same impact on her. Jace and Baela had young adult dragons that were barely big enough for combat so the weights were far more impactful.

This is the problem. Whether she's right or wrong, her own people don't respect her enough to follow her? I guess it's game over for her as queen, what's the point? They're just going to lock her in the throne room and do what they want I guess.

rhaena sold this battle bad. killed her own people on ships, had jace and baela fleeing from her dragon while having to evade the boats anti dragon spears and then left after doing that. if she hadnt gotten the ally boats burned theres a good chance they wouldnt have killed jace (even if his dragon got hit) because they would have been fighting the boat allies and not had time to focus on him

every single man basically has betrayed rhaenyra at some point, and she lets it go every time. she needs to crash out, but i know if she does crash out then show will paint her as the bad guy when she really isnt. she tried her hardest to prevent all of this . lost her father, crown stolen, child died at birth, both her teen sons killed, council and family betraying her, damon spending last season betraying her and she always gives people a second chance. i hope this death puts a battery in her back

Bro, adorkable and director keeps saying "Jace do something" but do what?? you want him to unhook from his dragon in the air, climb down the dragon like spiderman and then pull the harpoon out??? and then when he fell she said "he should've unhooked faster and take the harpoon out" I imagine it's hard to do a maneuver like that underwater and the dragon's dying anyway since it got hit in the neck. I hate that I have to defend this bastard, I'm not even team black.

1.) "Do something" was probably said out of stress because I said the same thing in the moment but realistically WHAT was Jace supposed to? Vermax couldn't fly because he was bleeding out and not because he was anchored or dragged down, we saw before that when the previous arrow got hooked on his saddle he was still able to stay above water he just couldn't fly higher, Jace taking out the arrow wouldn't have helped him fly because he was losing blood and that meant he was losing strength so unhooking himself and then taking out the harpoon probably would have made it a lot worse because removing what you've been hurt with makes you lose blood a lot faster and how was he supposed to climb around to Vermax stomach to remove the harpoon? He's not spiderman lol and I don't think the rope or chain he was attached with had much range to attempt it. He could've also been hit while trying cause he would've been distracted. 2.) "He just let his dragon die" there was nothing he could do at that point, and he knew his dragon was gone, if he didn't unhook himself, he would've died with Vermax. 3.) All other things aside, Jace and Baela had amazing control over their dragon's like when Baela and Moondancer cut the anchor on vermax and when Jace told vermax to go protect them from Sheepstealer and then immediately called it off the command when he saw Rhaena, Vermax listened right away.

I really dont like how they did my boy Jace. Book version took control of the council, acted as king, named Corlys hand, invited the dragon seeds, sent away his siblings, secured the pact with the Vale and North, then flew to fight when the pirates captured them. Rheanyra was bed ridden from from Lukes death in 1x10 until now. The 3 biggest people who held down Team Black were Jace, Corlys, and Daemon point blank. I understand in the show why he locked her up. He needs to prove himself especially now that his claim is even weaker due to the dragonseeds. The queen shouldnt go into battle until absolutely necessary. She has studied history but not prepared for war. Jace being a male has studied and prepared for it. He also just wants to keep his family alive. He knows he could die but dying making sure his mom gets to the throne doesnt matter to him. There is a goal and Rheanrya needs to live for it to happen. From team black view Alicent and her family are the creators of this conflict and have already set 1 trap to lure out and kill a dragon rider. Everybody would think this and taking kings landing would be traps. Cant let the queen go into a trap. Rheana is also kinda at fault here. Jace and Baela were trying to fight her because she jumped in on a dragon who doesnt know enough and has no rider xp. They took time away for fighting the enemy because they thought she was the enemy. They couldve burned dozens of ship with that time, maybe even all the dragon weapons. Jace couldnt do anything to help the dragon. Its a smaller dragon but its still a massive creature. 1 he couldnt reach it. 2 its a 10ft metal spike. 3 its impaled into the dragon far enough to not come out while pulling on it with flight. 4 it attached to an anchor. Even if he unstrapped when he got to the water his dragon was damn near dead and wouldve just fallen on him when he started to cut the rope.
