Lee, you're a superstar! you really live up to your namesake! just for reference saint and god is basically a title for a level. it goes beginner - intermediate - saint - king - emperor - god. its the same with magic in this world too. i believe rudeus is a water saint at this time and possibly a saint in earth too, though to strike down that 4 armed demon king , his rock spell was considered at emperor level i think even though its a basic spell. thats just how much mana he put into it. roxy is a water king.

Just to let you know, you got the VA right. His VA also voiced Enjin from Gachiakuta, and you probably recognized him as Tengen from Demon Slayer before that. And yeah, I don't think there's anything wrong with not understand the power scaling between titles until it's visually/directly stated in the show. Until you see the differences in in skill first-hand or people of different ranks talking to each other, it's hard to visualize that distinction.

Just a quick recaps on the sword stuff, theres 7 ranks and 3 sword styles. Ranks are : beginning, intermediate, advanced, Saint , King , Emperor, God Sword styles: sword God = offense Water God = defence North God = anything goes/"dirty tricks"

Based on ya'll's picking up on how the students are mostly Sword Saints, it seemed very clear that ya'll probably forgot the ranks of magic and swordsmanshp. Saint->King->Emperor->God Those are all of the upper ranks of power in the fighting world. Nothing to do with "Saints of God" stuff. Nothing religious, as we on Earth think of spirituality, in swordplay, though I have NO doubt that the devotion of followers/students can resemble religious fervor a whole lot.

So, about Auber.... I expect 85-95% of folks to not remember, but when Rudi, Eris, and Ruijerd got thru the Dragon Kingdom, Ruijerd was approached by a very friendly guy for a sparring match, naming himself as "North Emperor Peacock Blade Auber' best apprentice's apprentice...."and his name, I think. He got his ass utterly beat like a stepchild by Ruijerd, then Rudi healed him and gave him a Superd figure. So, you heard of "Funny Bowl Cut Guy" in season 1. Just...how tf are you supposed to hear his name and actually care? :D

I would like to add a little, but thanks for doing the heavy lifting great work! Sword God Style: Is about speed and power destroy your enemy as quickly as possible Water God Style: Is about reading your opponent and defeating them North God style: Has no one way fits all. It's about survival, you learn first aid, hunting and anything goes from 1-4 sword, pocket sand, throwing knives it's more of a "vagabond" style Sword God Style>North God Style>Water God Style>Sword God Style So it's a nice Rock, Paper, Scissor balance The Sword style overwhelms the North God and the North God can't be read by the Water style and the Water style reads and predicts the Sword God style into defeats

I get where you are coming from, but if you don't get that Eris is FAR more emotional and socially handicapped than Rudy and even at his lowest was still at a better place than her now. Than you won't understand her fully, but that's okay more opinions more interesting views :)

I don't think she just did it for that. SHE ADORES RUDY, he travelled with her for years from the Demon continent home, stress. He is almost the only family she has, teacher, saviour, charismatic and he understands her and don't abandon her like so many teacher before :) Also the note i 100% believe she thinks that's enough she can't comprehend he would get a depression when she left since she thinks she is worthless. Eris is also not very good at writing so she kept it short and thought it was enough. She is pretty naive like that 😂

While I do agree with what you say about her and it´s most likely the case with her, She adored Rudy yes and she knew how he felt about her. Exacktly they traveleed for years and saw horrible things death and god knows what so they both knows just how good they are. And while she was pretty bad at writing she had no problems with how she talked about him or too him, so when the creepy Nobel guy came she had enough clarity to know what to do, while I don´t blame her for that particular thing, If she just had talked to Rudy what was going on there would be no issue, I belive that Rudy would understand..but to Mew the poor guy..I mean come on :)

Great comment, hope Lee reads it, only thing is you left out advanced between intermediate and saint. Saint is only middle of the pack. The descriptions for magic: 1 Beginner / Elementary Basic mana manipulation. 2 Intermediate Advanced mana manipulation. 3 Advanced Complex mana manipulation. Generally large area of effect. 4 Saintly / Holy Large scale complex mana manipulation. Usually spells that affects the weather. 5 Kingly Builds upon Saint-class Magic by increasing its effectiveness. 6 Imperial / Emperor Further enhances the scale of King-class Magic 7 Divine / God Continental scale magic.
