Chang Ning, her little sister, called him "villain" because she thinks scholars are villains due to Song Yan, her ex-fiancé, not because she thinks he is a villain. No, he is a new character, appearing for the first time in the drama. In Chinese drama, if a woman disguises herself as a man, even if she looks like a woman, then she is a man; nobody doubts it Lol. That is the universal C drama law haha.

No, little sis said she won't go into the villains' house because that was the Song house they were staying at right now, LMAO.. So she didn't call him a villain, nor does she think scholars are villains. To her the Song mother/son are bad people, and so she doesn't want to step inside their house 😆😆 Li Wenkan/Huai'an: "Little Miss, why not step inside and sit a while?" ChangNing: "I would never step into a villain's house, Thank you scholar sir."

It was mentioned in previous episode 32:30, they rented the Song's old house from a broker. They didn't know it was Song Yan's house (the conflict between them etc) of course. That's why the confusion when ChangNing called it a villains' house, ig loll

Whenever my kids would encounter an unfamiliar word, I always encouraged them to either ask or look it up, but never brush past it. Fastest way to build your vocabulary. So “meridians” is where Qi flows through. It’s like the circulatory system, but instead of blood flowing through, it’s energy. Breaking the meridians is a common cdrama trope where the opponent destroys the channels for Qi, stripping them of their powers, whether from martial arts or magic. The most common way of breaking the meridians is through a powerful energy blast. But I doubt that’s how that butcher was planning on doing it. You need to have strong Qi to do that. My guess is he was probably planning on physically cutting the tendons (like in the ankle and wrist) that overlap with the meridian lines.

lol. I can’t trust her facial memory lol mine is generally better She that’s why I made a reference to Severance. I messed the biggest reveal of season one because I said it was the same lady lol She insisted it with a different person and that was not the case. Happens a few times Buuuuuut now that i reflect she has def gotten better with it. So I dunno mmmm But yea. Thank you lol. I probably wouldn’t look it up if I was on my own Keyboard and internet browser is there and we knew we were only watching one video that night. So I felt relaxed on time.

There were a lot of undertones in the uncomfortable conversation between the grain dealer (Qi Min) and Qianqian. QQ owns an entertainment venue (restaurant with music). Qi Min almost brings up she meets/knows a lot of people (implying does she 'serve' men or does her place offer other services like a brothel would do). Women had to be careful doing business on their own because it could easily be misinterpreted as being loose for meeting with men often, behind closed doors.

I know that you guys already finished this drama, but if it helps, Netflix subtitles for CDramas aren't always the best, unfortunately 😔 But I'm glad that you guys ended up understanding what was going on with the whole princess undercover thing after talking about it with each other loll. If you guys ever get to react to another CDrama in the future, I would like to suggest you watch on IQIYI or WeTV instead! The subtitles are much clearer Yeah, in CDramas, sometimes it's obvious that there are female characters pretending to be boys. When they look like a woman, it's always been something I've been "annoyed" at (annoyed isn't the word I wanna use; I just can't think of what the other word is loll) I think it didnt help that the drama didnt exactly show the princess pretending to be a boy potentially, hence why people might get confused

I am glad you looked up Marchioness. Some words you just have to know the definition of. Unrelated to the show fact. A Marques and Marchioness rule a March (border county of a Nation).
